I recently instructed this family-run business to carry out a Level 3 Building Survey, and I could not be happier with the service I received.

From the outset, communication was impeccable. The surveyor promptly contacted the estate agent and arranged a suitable date and time for the inspection, keeping me informed throughout the process. I was also invited to provide any concerns or questions ahead of the survey, which meant the areas most important to me received particular attention during the inspection.

Martin was professional, approachable, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain technical terms and findings in a clear and straightforward way, allowing me to fully understand his observations and recommendations without feeling overwhelmed by industry jargon.

The survey report itself was excellent. It was well structured, easy to read through 85-pages document, and proved invaluable when discussing the property with my conveyancer, electrician, and contractors. The report included detailed photographs, clear descriptions, and a simple traffic-light rating system that immediately highlighted which issues required attention and their level of urgency.

I particularly appreciated that approximate costs were provided where appropriate, along with practical suggestions and recommendations for resolving identified issues. This helped me understand not only what needed attention, but also the likely implications and next steps.

Buying a property can often be stressful, but this was genuinely one of the most positive and straightforward parts of the entire process. Excellent service from start to finish! My second time using Kingsley Surveyors as unfortunately my first purchase fell through. Sara in the office efficient in getting the survey booked and arranging with my estate agent and then Martin carried out a detailed level survey and highlighted faults that I hadn’t even noticed after viewing the property twice and due to his report I have managed to negotiate £19,000 of the house to cover repairs I wouldn’t have known about.

Kingsley have been top class. The quote came through for a Level 3 at only slightly more than competitors were charging for Level 2s.

The communication from Sara and Martin has been excellent, we put them in touch with our estate agents and they organised the rest.

The survey itself was far more comprehensive than I thought it would be, even including drone photos of the roof which other companies didn’t offer. Martin explored every single room, highlighting all the elements of the house and offering a rough guide to the pricing we would pay to fix each issue.

The after care service has been excellent, as first time buyers, we had a lot of follow up questions around various bits and pieces and Martin gave us honest and good advice.

The level 3 survey was carried out as per the agreed date and the report received very quickly. It is very informative and helpful to know what repairs etc are needed and reassuring to know the property has no major problems.
