I placed an order with KitabLane, but the spiral binding service I requested was not provided. I was charged additional and unnecessary fees, resulting in extra expenses from my own pocket. I also had to handle the shipment booking, tracking, delivery coordination, and repeated communication myself, which caused unnecessary hassle, wasted time, and financial inconvenience.

Overall, I incurred additional out-of-pocket expenses while having to manage the process myself, yet the service I requested was not delivered as expected. This was a disappointing and frustrating customer experience.

I want to tell my all seniors,and juniors regarding the highly unprofessional and deceptive business practices of Kitab Lane. Please protect your hard-earned money and time by reading our exact step-by-step experience below.
1.)We placed an order with Kitab Lane for printing 500 pages of highly crucial mapping and study materials, paying an advance of ₹835. This amount explicitly included additional charges for Spiral Binding to keep our preparation organized. The merchant accepted the money but kept stalling, delaying the delivery from the 15th all the way to the 25th of the month, entirely jeopardizing our study schedules.
2.)On the 25th, after facing absolute evasion from their end, we were forced to take matters into our own hands to rescue our study materials. We had to use our own money to book a pickup via the Delhivery App on the 25th. Kitab Lane completely abandoned their contractual delivery responsibility, forcing us to handle the logistics ourselves.
3.)The harassment did not stop there. When our self-arranged Delhivery executive arrived at Kitab Lane's facility on the first day, the merchant made the delivery boy wait for an extended period .
4.)When the package finally arrived after all this harassment, we discovered a shocking breach of trust:
• Zero Binding: The 500 sheets were delivered completely loose and unbound. The very custom service we paid for was entirely omitted.
• Extortion of Funds: Although they later processed a partial reversal of ₹115, they arbitrarily and illegally withheld ₹20 under the unconsented guise of packaging/shipping fees.
They made us do the logistics work out of our own pockets, yet they had the audacity to retain our money for a service they never provided. When we requested a transparent breakdown, their management responded with pure arrogance, issuing an open challenge to report them.
🎯 FINAL ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC
This is a classic case of Deficiency of Service and a Partial Commercial Scam. They lure students with professional promises, but their actual operations involve hidden fees, service failures, and extreme ego.
If you are a student, a brother, a sister, or an elder planning to order your competitive exam materials from Kitab Lane—PLEASE PROCEED ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Totally disappointed service.

Worst book printing company..their book upload process is a hassle and they dont print laminated covers and their google form is absolutely worthless..plus everything needs to be paid seperately for printing, pages and shipping

I ordered 5 books from KitabLane/Paperlipi on Feb 12, 2026, and paid a total of ₹1,242. Despite my address being in Madhya Pradesh, the company misdelivered my order to Halvad, Gujarat (Tracking: CW192619047IN).
​Even after taking an extra ₹198 from me for 'paper costs' (Transaction ID: T2602131447427468918830), they refuse to refund or reprint. They arrogantly told me I am 'free to complain' and expect me to coordinate with a stranger in Gujarat to get my own parcel.
​As a small proprietor, this has caused me significant business loss and reputation damage. I have officially lodged a government grievance (Docket No: 8810858) under the Consumer Protection Act 2019. Avoid this seller at all costs—they take your money and offer zero accountability.
