Leo Express is a private multimodal transport group, which started its activities in 2012 with new trains on the backbone lines in the Czech Republic. Since 2014 in Slovakia and since 2018 also in Poland. It also operates an extensive network of bus and minibus lines in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Austria and Ukraine. In August 2017, Leo Express took over the German company Locomore and resumed its operation on the Berlin-Stuttgart route together with the company FlixMobility, becoming the second largest commercial passenger carrier on the German rail. Leo Express is the first Czech carrier to operate a rail connection outside the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In July 2018, it started operations on the Prague – Krakow railway route, becoming the first passenger commercial carrier on Polish railways. It also provides door2door activities such as transport home to selected addresses in the Zlín Region. In 2016, the company announced the purchase of new trains from the world's largest manufacturer CRRC. In 2017, the company founded the peer-to-peer cashing company SmileCar, which has merged with HoppyGo since June 2018 to become a major carsharing provider. The founder of Leo Express is Leoš Novotný, CEO is Pavel Spilka.

Wir sind in Familie Bereich Economy…

Wir sind in Familie Bereich Economy Clas gefahren welche wir überhaupt nicht empfehlen können. Sehr wenig Platz für Koffer,kein Platz für Beine ,sehr laut, die Sitze unbequem und Personal nicht freundlich. Deutlich teurer als Business in RegioJet. Wir werden nicht noch mal mit Leo Express fahren und werden die auch niemanden empfehlen.

30 minutes delay announced 1 minute…

30 minutes delay announced 1 minute before the train departure. I quickly opened the app to cancel it but it took me a minute and you cannot cancel it at the time of the departure already. I contacted the customer service- they don’t speak English so don’t bother- all replies are in Czech and they are very incompetent. I don’t recommend to travel with this company.

To mógłby być przykład dla PKP

Z Leo Express od 2015 roku miałem same pozytywne doświadczenia. Po pierwsze flota jest nowoczesna, obsługa w pociągu jest przyjazna, na etapie kupna biletu można sobie wybrać standard (np. z obiadem czy z przekąskami) i miejsca na mapie wagonu (a PKP chwali się tym, że na kilku pociągach wprowadziła tę funkcję w 2023 roku...). Przed rozpoczęciem rejsu pociąg jest sprzątany, co zresztą widać. Podróżując po Czechach, polecam wypróbować też tego prywatnego przewoźnika.

Arrived at final destination 2.5 hours late. LEO Express accepted no responsibility because "the connections were not connected". I kid you not. That was the answer from CS. My trip was from Wroclaw to Prague. During the booking process, I only saw that there were 3 trains. Turns out 2 were not "real" Leo Express trains. The commercial train from Prague to Usti nad Orcici was 25 minutes late, so I missed my connecting trains (Leo Express Tenders and Koleje Dolnośląskie respectively). I booked the entire trip on the app, got ONE ticket number and, therefore, expected Leo to own up and accept responsibility, yet Leo only compensates if one of the trains is late 60 minutes or more. Typical Czech behaviour to deflect and deny. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Better than anticipated

I was nervous to travel with LEO Express due to the bad rating, but turns out I had nothing to worry about.

I traveled from Krakow to Zdiar, and looked up the bus stop in Krakow well in advance. It was quite easy to find, however, you need to be sure that you're at the correct stop with LEO Express sign as there's a couple of different stops on the same road.

The driver didn't speak English, but made sure I got off at the right stop.

When heading back to Krakow, I had to change the bus once during the trip which I wasn't aware of. The driver came to ask me individually where I am going to make sure I won't miss the connection.

Buses were a wee bit late but it was due to the heavy traffic on the border.

I would recommend using this service. Free WiFI (which is not working at all times due to the bad service in some areas) and a free bottle of water.

WORST TRIP EVER

I strongly recommend you to avoid this company!
It is not possible for an information point not to know about it's existence (in Kracow at the bus station I couldn't find any information about Leo express because nobody knew about it at the information point!).
Their website it's a mess. Not only that it is the only way to buy a ticket (as their called center lady said), but I couldn't choose the right station, so it automatically chose it for me Propad, although I wanted to go to Stary Smokovec. So I paid more and the bus driver almost didn't want to take me there because "He can take any road he wants".
He drove really fast and he almost entered in a truck. Stay away from Leo express!

I travelled from Krakow to Presov with…

I travelled from Krakow to Presov with Leo express 2 weeks ago, it was fine,nothing exceptional, nothing bad.
Bought a ticket to travel back from Presov to Krakow on the 6th July 2018 for the 16:25 bus.
There was nowhere I could find precise information about where the bus actually stops.
I called customer services, they gave me vague instructions and told me I can find it on the website in the "where we go" section, which is very misleading for anyone who speaks English.
Anyhow. Bus was supposed to show up at 16:25, it showed up at 16:50, stopped on the wrong side of the roads to what the customer service told me and left before I could even cross the road (less than 15s of waiting) even though I was sprinting towards it and waving.
Contacted customer services again straight after the bus left to tell them of the situation, they said the bus driver can't turn back and that it's my fault for not being in the right place (they directed me there themselves).
Leo express refused to acknowledge that their driver shower up hugely late, which gives me grounds for a refund, they refuse to understand that he didn't wait long enough and that they misdirected me.
Now they've refused to return my money and shifted the blame on me and said that the inky thing they can do for me, is help me book an alternate ticket with their bus going to the my destination first thing in the morning.

Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Not reliable and not responsible.

Not reliable and not responsible. We were supposed to travel (2 adults and 2 kids) but the bus was delayed significantly and they didn't inform us (even the info desk was misinformed about the new timing) resulting in the bus leaving without us. DO NOT TRUST this company. They will treat you like you are even less then a number. I asked for reimbursement because of their mistake and they could not careless about customer satisfaction. I will stay as far from Leo Express as I can and advise others to do the same.

Bought tickets in advance for this bus…

Bought tickets in advance for this bus from Zdiar to Krakow. Bus either didn't turn up, or went straight past us at the bus stop. Left us stranded and we had to pay 130 euros for a taxi to Krakow. Customer service was useless. They couldn't tell us where the bus was. Then they provided "proof" that the GPS of the bus showed they had gone past the bus stop and said that therefore they couldn't refund us. This bus company is so unprofessional it shouldn't be operating.

Have been travelling with Leo Express…

Have been travelling with Leo Express six times now at different times of the day/night, and never had a single problem. They were perfectly on time.

Last time my flight was delayed, so I arrived later and would have missed the bus. I called their service hotline, and they asked the busdriver to wait a few minutes, which he did.

Can only recommend them!

I was travelling Katowice to Vienna and while they were taking our luggages they did not give us baggage stickers and also while passengers were taking their stuffs they did not control.As a result someone stole my tent.I ask for a solution but they did not reply me.It is the worst company ever.

leo express bus service is the worst bus service I have ever had!

on 16th June, 2017 I supposed to have a leo express bus from krakow, Poland main bus stop to Ostrava, Czech republic at 6:30 a.m. I reached bus stop at 5:45 am and waited for the bus till 9 am!!!, the company is sooo terrible that they did not inform me by message or email about its more than 3 hour delay or cancellation of morning first bus to Czech republic !, the company operates through internet so there was not a single piece of information in bus stop information counter and the lady said "oh leo express!, they are always 2-3 hours late". Also, they don't have any registered bus stopping place in the bus stop like all other Polish bus. So they stop where ever there is a free place!! Finally after 9 a.m. a leo bus appeared and they said they are going to Bohemin which is the next city from ostrava and if I ride the bus then I need to take a train to ostrava from Bohemin with my own expense although I bought leo express ticket till Ostrava but not Bohemin. when we rode the bus all customers were in chaos because we have similar sit number from morning first bus and the next bus. So, people were arguing with each other for sitting places!, I also met some other passengers from Malaysia who had another connecting bus from Bohemin to Prague and they couldn't manage the time cause of late first bus and they end up by buying a new train ticket with me in Bohemin train station. So, from my experience I say leo express is the worst bus service till I have and I dont recommend anybody to use this bus service!

Trying to please all, unsucessfully

Of the three companies competing on railways I like LEO Express the least. Their trains are often and rightfully dubbed "intercity tram". They are not as comfortable as the classic coaches of RegioJet or Czech Railways (ČD). Their service is however better than the state company ČD.
Unclear positioning between the low cost and the premium, ends up being good at neither.
They also seem to be spreading thin, being more concerned about ever-expanding their network to various little towns once a day instead of offering frequent and reliable service on selected routes.
