Needed a replacement battery but due to Brexit, there were alot of new regulations and paperwork. However, Dante was especially helpful and it has now arrived.

I purchased an NCM Prague eBike fron Leon Cycle in June 2020. The delivery was very fast and the bike is very good value for money. It is constructed with good quality components.
After about 6 weeks, I noticed that the battery would shut down when still showing 2 bars of charge. This got progressively worse until now this battery stops working immediately on starting to ride the bike.
Leon Cycle in Germany accepted that the battery is defective and assigned an RMA number in February 2021. To date, there has been absolutely no progress in getting a replacement and Nils at Leon Cycle has stopped even estimating when a new battery might be available. Had I not purchased a spare battery soon after buying the bike, I would not have been able to use the bike for most of the time I have had it.
Also, the range estimate in the Leon Cycle website is wildly over-optimistic.
The one-star review is due to the complete lack of any progess from Leon Cycle in getting a replacement battery, not the overall quality of the bike or initial delivery which was very good.

* 28-1-22. The problem with the faulty battery was eventually satisfactorily resolved and I have had no other problems with the bike and continue to enjoy using it. In fairness to Leon Cycle, "Brexit" and the pandemic did not help matters . . .

This company is still running online shop and provide prompt service. They used to have a shop and closed for some reasons. Contacted them through their online shop, they still have a plan to launch a new retail shop in 2021, which is delayed due to Covid. Seems their warehouse is near Manchester.

The forum of pedelecs.co.uk is also discussing and they still provide service through e-mail, FB...

Google says that this company Leon Cycles (Unit 2, Wharf Mill, Caroline Street, Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, WN3 4FN) is permanently closed. I don't think it ever opened. Folk on Google and Facebook are both saying that no-one there is picking up the phone, either.

This is a German co. but bikes are made in China. I found an e-bike forum discussing their poor service and guarantee (google ebike-forum dot eu ncm bike by leon cycle)

The sole director that's left is down as living in China. (google Leon Cycles on companies house). They trade on ebay as NCM Bikes and their contact there is Ricardo Hirsch (google for his Linkedin) but their stock is all gone.

Today 23 June i can go to the Leon Cycles website and buy a bike to put in the basket but i won't be doing that.

I purchased the NCM mountain e-bike plus, just over a week ago, but after carefully following the manual for assembling the bike I had an accident due to the bike being sent out in a dangerous state. This incident was reported immediately to the Leon Web site U K, but despite several attempts to make contact through the "contact me" form, to date, I have had no reply.

So here's what's happened so far.
On Friday 29-05-2020 I received my Moscow Plus, 48V 16 AH 27.5 Bike.

After charging the battery, fitting the handlebars, seat, and pedals, I took the bike out for its first ride.

Everything went well for the first few minutes, then without warning the bike wobbled and threw me off! What had happened is, the back wheel nut left side had not been tightened.!!! Therefore the back wheel went out of alignment, the chain came off and jammed, consequently throwing me off the bike and causing me several injuries.

As I understand it Leon cycles do a pre-delivery check, however, missing this could have killed me! As it is, I got off with some heavy cuts, bruises, sore back, and injured knee.

I am sixty-nine years old and have been riding all my life and have owned several bikes. So after further investigations, I found the front wheel, forks, suspension were all fitted back to front! Now that's just crazy and bad quality control.

I had to dismantle the whole front of the bike and fit everything correctly.

I am applauded that the bike was sent out in such a dangerous state and extremely angry that despite several messages to the UK office and german H Q, no one has had the decency to reply to my messages.

Shame on you Leon Cycles.
