This app is committing fraud and extortion.
I was paying for a subscription for my personal account - which is way too expensive anyways... after my bag got stolen with my phone and cards, I had to cancel my cards. I did not login for a few weeks so I wasn't using it... Now I cannot access my data unless I pay a ransom fee. This is extortion and a serious GDPR violation, and I will sue.
I enjoy Libib. It's a nice modern design and excellent for tracking my books, video games, and board games. It helps keep me from buying duplicate items. You can cancel from the Account Settings on the website by choosing to Downgrade or Pause your account if you no longer want Libib Pro. Not sure why other posts are claiming you can't do this.
Scammers. They do not allow you to cancel a subscription on your account page. Also, they don't email a reminder of the upcoming subscription renewal.
No matter how good their product, I wouldn't trust them.
The interface is very clunky, and it takes too many steps to move a book from one category to another. For example moving a book from one category to another using the website and a barcode scanner:
1. Make sure the cursor IS IN the search bar otherwise absolutely nothing happens.
2. Use scanner to read barcode and enter it in search bar.
3. Hit enter to go to book results
4. Click on title of book
5. Click MOVE (this is only available if you pay the monthly subscription)
6. Choose category to move to.
7. Click move.
Seven steps to move one book to another category. Now times that by several hundred books, and it is just not efficient.
My concern is not about the product which works in my experience decently well.
However they're litterally crooks as you basically can't unsubscribe or remove your payment method.Your only option is to delete your account and be confident with the fact they'll won't charge you anymore.
A simple but brilliant application. I have recorded all my dvd's and cd's. Would highly recommend it..
I used this program to catalog over 4000 books, the interface looks amazing, everything is simple and clear to understand, plus I love how they give you free access to great features in their database without too much trouble, pretty neat.
Truly a wonderful and easy way to catalog books online, even after 5 months of personal use, I still like it.
