That single star is for my therapist, and for her only. While my therapist was excellent, their billing department is shockingly incapable and there seems to be no oversight. They made multiple mistakes in their billing paperwork which triggered them to drain my bank account instead of taking out the copay I agreed to and had been paying for nearly a year. I confirmed their mistake with my insurance company, and to their credit they addressed it the first time.
However, the next week the same mistake was made, as well as another unexplained “miscellaneous” charge. But this time insisted there was no mistake. They have repeatedly refused to correct the issue and the only person I can get on the phone is the person who made the mistake. I’ve called and emailed but no one actually fixes the problem. They just send me more copies of their mistaken paperwork.
In addition to having to close my bank account to stop them from stealing my money, I also had to start over with another therapist at a different agency.
I cannot overstate enough how deeply disruptive and draining this company has truly been over the past month.
It’s galling that they claim to support people’s mental health, and then run someone seeking treatment through this merry go round of disrespect, dishonesty, and ineptitude. My guess is that it was easier to steal my money than to correct their own paperwork and deal with the insurance company, but certainly not the behavior I’d expect from a company that claims such altruistic goals.
Please, seek treatment elsewhere. Your wallet and peace of mind will be better for it.
