The battery life is a drawback. I don’t get more than 20 - 24 hours of usage. If you aren’t careful, the link will be recharging when your dog does a runner. Otherwise, I’m pleased. (Original rating 3 stars)

I'll have to say Pet Link's customer service is a plus 5. They contacted me before the day was over and said I would have a replacement in the mail due to the bad battery. I never expected a replacement of a three-year-old link but that is exactly what they did.

They said the battery should last three days. If mine had lasted that long I would have rated it a 5 star.

I really like Link. It helps me keep up with everything dealing with my pet. The only thing that could be better is being able to change the volume in the beep sound. It's to low and my dog doesn't respond to it.

The unit doesn't hold a charge very long only a couple days and is big. But it serves it's purpose.

Any communication with LINK AKC is always promptly responded to and support staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They love pets also-it’s evident. Appreciate the caring.

Cons -the only downside is that the battery doesn't last long, it goes for maybe two days but the upside is that it charges super** fast. so at night you have to charge them, more of inconvenience than anything else. Pros - why I lOVE this company is the customer service. they constantly reach out and check to make sure everything is going well, if you need anything. etc. there aren't long wait times and the product has helped me find my Weiner dog twice now. Truly feel like this product was worth the money! it has a GPS tracker that essentially shows you your dogs foot prints and where they are traveling, like it said for the peace of mind it is well worth it.

We started using the Link when our husky was only8 weeks old. She was born deaf and I had a fear of her getting out and not being able to hear us call for her. It gives me peace of mind. She is now over a year old and we have only had to it for practice. And it works!!! The Only thing I wish it could do would be to vibrate. The sound doesnt help us in our situation She know sign language And training her to look for with a vibrate would be perfect

I feel much more secure knowing that I can track my dog if needed.

This is truly a great device. It takes some of the worry out of walking my pup, not only do I know how much exercise she’s getting, but if she were to somehow get away or lost you can use it to track and locate her. It’s easy to use, light weight, fits on her collar with not problem, love it.

The system itself isnt that great as it isnt very trustworthy. However, the company has great customer service and continues to make an effort to better the components and software. I am loyal to Link and waiting to see what the future holds for this company.

The Link works well for my larger Aussie. It helps me keep track of how much we exercise and if he is outside of the “safe” area.

I love this product as it gives me peace of mind that if something happens I can find my dog, but I have had issues that I have spoken with IT and customer service because apparently the cell signal is so good at my house that my “safe zone” extends to about 8 houses down the road and across the street from my actual house. This caused an issue when my dog got away and was marked “at home” when in reality he was about 7 houses down in the opposite direction he ran from and I couldn’t find him as it was dark at night. Luckily a neighbor found him but I was very disappointed in the collar as my dog was definitely not “ at home” I have been informed the new product will let me change the distance setting of the home zone so I have pre ordered it and hopefully that fixes the issue. Otherwise it has been great for tracking when away from home

It does not track. Takes forever to update, if it does. Always says the dog is with me or at the home base. Too much money to pay for inadequate results.

I purchased the Link AKC collar for my redbone coonhound puppy 2 years ago after being advised by our trainer that he could easily get onto a scent and blow through our electric fence. I purchased the standard collar, the sport collar and 2 years of service. The sport collar ripped about 4 months into our contract. They replaced it and the collar broke again within another 3 months. We basically stopped using it because it’s a pain to put the gps device in the sport collar (and it was ripped) and the standard collar was bulky with his electric fence collar. The gps service was very delayed and most days didn’t work. They told us to reset the device which would work for a day or so then stop tracking again. We stopped using it and just wasted the rest of our contract. Now... I saw a new charge on my credit card for $166 which would be renewal for 2 more years. I called and they told me that they were aware that their product is garbage and they would refund me. Welp, I got my refund minus $9.95 per month service because I used their sim service? If you can do any math, that doesn’t add up. This thing hasn’t been turned on in over a year. Their service is lacking and their customer service is even worse. I will definitely NOT be trying their new device in the spring. Even with a large discount.

I generally love it.I had to buy a second one because the first stopped holding a charge after two hours. I had it less than a month. So far, so good on this one.

The reason I gave two stars, it's because I like the concept of being able to track my pets. The tracking device has a delay of about 2-5 minutes. When my pets are away from home, the device doesn't alert me on time, that's a huge no, no for me. I want a tracker that's able to keep track of my pet's instant, not minutes later after my pet has been almost a mile away from me.
