We purchased a custom Tasman motorised Pergola with blinds and rain sensor. We are thrilled with the quality and appearance. Robin and his team did a great job installing it, working neatly and with precision.

Our experience shopping at the Living Culture showroom in Tauranga was excellent. Great advice and guidance in choosing a table and chairs that suited our requirements. We’re assured that we would have a quick delivery and easy assembly. Delivery was the same week and assembly went smoothly as advised. Enjoying the new dining setting.

Do not purchase from this company! They say they can provide numerous things but when it actually comes to it they can't. They can't install in every area advertised. They can't deliver without add-on fees. The actual product can't be installed as described. They do not respond quickly and do not trade in good faith. Actually the worst.

I really wish I’d seen some of the reviews about motorised pergolas before we too bought and found it basically unfit for purpose. The installation was terrible with faulty and unsafe wiring left, various part then broke down and getting the right replacement despite clear photos or even dropping the part in has been a nightmare. Do not buy from this company!

I purchased the Cardrona Teak 2 seater and two 1 seaters. They arrived very well packaged, well made, strong and I am sure durable. They have a protective cover for the rain which is an added bonus. I purchased on line and all dealings with the company were professional and they kept me well informed at all stages of delivery. The purchase was made with a 15% discount and free shipping which made this purchase so great, being in the South Island. I have recommended my sister-n-law purchase this suite too, and I would recommend to all.

I was really worried after reading reviews but our experience was fine. Ordered online for warehouse pick up. Was emailed within about 3 days with pick up times. Pick up times were very limited and within business hours but luckily I was able to go. Warehouse worker lifted and fit it in my car for me.

I was recommended to purchase from Living Culture bc they had the louvre pergola in sizes that suited.
Ordered two electric louvres Ex China, took 13 weeks & arrived on time.
First louvre was for a holiday rental property in Stanmore Bay.
Installation was straight but the motor/ transformer triggered a fuse to blow.
Living Culture visited the site to check transformer & replaced with a new on upon inspection.
The second louvre was installed at my private residence in Swann Bch......again, install went well.
Couldn't be happier , & would happily recommend Living Culture Ltd without hesitation.
If there is a problem, they will sort it.
Thanks guys for a job well done.

We purchased 4x4 Caribbean pergola with shades. The Living Culture team was great during the pergola selection process and installation. We have beautiful pergola for this summer.

I purchased a motorized louvre pergola. The pergola looks fabulous. However we had alot of issues with the wiring. All plugs in disarray- control box had 2 female plugs/no male plug. All connections loose/not wired into the plugs. Electrician was required to check wiring loom. Structure is good but wiring shit.

Have a motorised pergola and the motor broke after a few months. Contacted them to get the motor replaced under warranty and it's been a very painful experience. Hard to find someone to talk to, keep getting passed from one person to the other, every time have to explain the whole story again.

And apparently the person that makes the decision whether you can get a replacement or not is based on China...

They keep getting back to me with all sorts of excuses to not honor the warranty: maybe the remote control is not working, maybe you didn't make the correct electrical connection, etc....

Wish me luck.

And stay away from this company if you want to avoid headaches.

I wish I had read these reviews before placing an order.

I ordered a product over a month (it was due to ship within the week) and I have still not received it. I've emailed and they keep telling me it will be ready very soon.

The website and product looked great but it is all a sham. Looks like I am going to have to start going through legal channels to get my money back.

Please dont be taken in by these fraudsters

UPDATE: After demanding a refund I was told the product was ready for pick up. We went to the warehouse for pick up and every chair was damaged. We refused to take the product and have been promised a refund within 10 working days.

There are simply not enough hours left in my life to write all that went on trying to get our pergola delivered and then installed.. after it had been paid for in full. This was without doubt the most frustrating, bang-my-head-against-a-wall experience. In very short, zero communication, constant incorrect or misleading information and seven months of chasing! It’s a shame, the product is actually excellent but the months of stress we’re not worth it. I felt bad for the customer service team, the issues were clearly higher up.

We called in to the showroom at Wairau rd today. Jaimee was the most unhelpful and rude sales person I have met. The reviews for this store say it all. We called in to view items in person but were told they are all stored at the warehouse and can't be viewed. We then asked for a measure and quote, and were told it would cost $100 but they couldn't guarantee that the product would fit. There would be no refund for the quote fee. I would not waste your time with this company.

Very disappointed. We wanted to buy an outdoor lounge suite they advertised. Travelled all the way from Katikati to look at it. Only to be told "no we don't have it it's at the warehouse. They are not open today". So we find what days the warehouse is open and travel up again. Then told "no you cannot look at it. You are not allowed at the warehouse, and we don't want to get it out". So we didn't buy it. I am not spending $1500 on something I cannot even look at first! Their attitude and arrogance was unbelievable!! Steer clear of them!

54% of reviews are BAD! and now i know why, very rude NOT helpful at all, beat around the bush, won't answer questions, which I can tell is for a good reason so they are not held to their word!!!

Really happy with the Louvre roof system we purchased from Living Culture. The service from the company was spot on with great communication pre delivery and really nice to see a follow up after purchase. Thank you!
