JET, thanks for writing this properly instead of just leaving a star rating. Worth answering head on.

Shipping. We hold stock in Australia and also ship from an international warehouse, depending on stock levels and where you are when you order. Domestic is quick. International takes longer, and two weeks is the slow end of that. Fair thing to be annoyed about. We are working on both deeper local stock and better courier partners to get delivery times down, because it is the number one thing customers raise with us.

"Military grade steel." You are right, and we agree. It is a vague term the whole category throws around and it tells you nothing, so we have stopped using it. What it actually is: 5mm braided steel, multiple strands twisted rather than a single solid core, so there is no one clean cut point. That is the description we would rather be judged on.

Bolt cutters. This is our actual position, not a walk back. Locksteed is not unstealable and we have never claimed it is. Someone with the right tools, the time, and the nerve to stand in your driveway working on your car will get through it. Same is true of every steering lock, bar lock and wheel clamp sold. The job is making your car the slower, noisier, harder option so the bloke walking down your street at 2am moves on to the next one. You have described the product accurately, and that is the whole idea.

Branding. Fair callout, and it is not how we normally ship. Our branded packaging ran into production delays on the latest batch, and we had a choice: hold everyone's orders until the new run landed, or get units out to people who had already paid and were waiting. We chose to ship. Yours went out in unbranded packaging for that reason. What matters more for the legit question is what happens after the sale: lifetime warranty, 90 day money back guarantee, and we answer our own emails. If the cable, buckle or key ever fails, email us and we replace it.

Margaret, that is a fair complaint and we are sorry. Receiving an unbranded box after waiting is exactly the situation that makes you wonder if you have been done over, and you should not have to feel that way about an order you have already paid for.

Two honest explanations, neither of which is an excuse.

On the packaging. Our branded packaging hit production delays on the latest batch. We had a choice between holding orders until the new run landed or shipping to people who had already paid and were waiting. We chose to ship. That was the wrong call for customers like you who were already unsure, and we understand why it read badly.

On the wait. We hold stock in Australia and also ship from an international warehouse depending on stock levels and location at the time of order. If yours came from the international warehouse, that is the slower route. We are working on deeper local stock and better courier partners, because delivery time is the thing customers raise with us most.

The part we would ask you to judge us on is what happens now. We are a real Australian business, we answer our own emails, and every unit carries a lifetime warranty and a 90 day money back guarantee. If you are not happy with it, email us and we will refund you, no argument. If you would rather keep it and it ever fails, email us and we will replace it. Either way there is a person on the other end who will answer you.

Steve, this one genuinely made our day, and not just because it is a five star.

You are right to be dubious. There is a lot of rubbish being advertised on Facebook, and plenty of stores that take your money and go quiet the moment you need something. Your email test is a good one. Honestly, we wish more people did it, because the ones who cannot answer a simple email in a day probably should not be taking your money in the first place. We treat the inbox as part of the product. If someone has a question before they buy, after they buy, or two years down the track, there is a real person here who answers it.

Really glad the delivery landed early and everything arrived in good nick. We put a lot of thought into how the units are packed because a security product turning up looking battered is not a great first impression, so it is good to hear it made the trip properly. We are also working on some upgrades to the packaging itself, so hopefully your next one looks even better on arrival.

I'm sorry for the frustration here. Ordering, paying, and then feeling ignored is a rotten experience, and I want to clear it all up for you.

First, your order: I've tracked it and it was actually out for delivery, but the courier couldn't find a safe place to leave it, so it wasn't able to be dropped off. That's why it hasn't landed, it's not lost, and we'll get it to you. We just need to arrange redelivery or a pickup point that works for you.

On the replies, this is the part I really want to sort out, because when I check our system, we have been responding to your messages. That tells me our emails aren't reaching you (spam/junk folders are the usual culprit, or an address that's not quite matching).
