We're really sorry for the frustration here, and we completely understand why you'd be disappointed. That's genuinely not the experience we want anyone to have with us, and we take feedback like yours seriously.

We wanted to look into this properly for you, so we went and tracked your order from our end. The carrier is currently showing it as delivered, but we know that a tracking status alone doesn't always mean a parcel has actually landed safely in your hands, and that's what matters most to us here.

So we'd really like to make this right. If the parcel hasn't turned up, or if anything about the delivery doesn't look right to you, please send us an email at support@locksteed.com and we'll personally look into it and get it sorted for you as quickly as we can. Whether that means tracking down the parcel or making things right another way, we're here to help and we won't leave you stuck.

Thanks, John! You've captured the balance we worked hard to get right, strong enough to be a real deterrent, but light enough that it's no hassle to use every single time. That's the sweet spot, because a lock only protects you if it's easy enough that you'll actually bother with it daily.

Thanks so much for the cracking review, Vivienne! Love hearing the red lock is doing exactly its job, being the bright deterrent that makes a thief skip your car and go looking for an easier target. And the Signal Shield pouch sitting on top of it is that perfect second layer, so you've got the thinking spot on.

Cheers for the honest review, Diane, and glad to hear it's serving you well overall. The bit about the key being stiff to turn isn't something we want you living with though, so I'd really like to get that sorted for you.

A lock that's consistently hard to unlock usually points to something we can fix, whether that's a quick tip to free it up or a replacement unit if the cylinder isn't turning as it should. Either way you shouldn't have to fight with it.

Joseph, this one's on us and I won't dress it up. You ordered in good faith, the site told you 4-8 business days, and you've sat there for 16 with nothing to show for it. That's not the experience we want anyone to have, least of all someone in Brisbane who just wanted their car protected.

I've chased your order personally and it's now on its final leg, you should have it within the next 1-2 business days. I've also refunded you in full, so the lock comes to you with our apology attached, not your money. When it lands, put it on and see what you think, and if anything else is off, email us and it comes straight to me.

Spot on, Colin, that's exactly the thinking behind the bright colours. A lock someone can see from across the street is the whole point, most thieves would rather move to an easier car than take it on in plain view. Glad it fitted up easily for you too. Appreciate the review.

Sandra, the leg-knocking point made us smile because it's exactly the problem the cable design solves, so we're chuffed the switch paid off for you.

Those old rigid bars do the job but they're forever in the way. A cable that threads through and stores flat is a much easier thing to live with day to day, and it sounds like you've felt that difference straight away. Glad you got a colour you love too. Peace of mind is exactly the point, so it's great to hear that's what it's given you. With a soft-top especially, a visible deterrent does a lot of heavy lifting. Most would-be thieves are looking for the quick, quiet job, and the moment they spot a lock on the wheel they tend to move on to an easier target. They see it, they walk.

You've summed it up better than our ad copy does, honestly. We've never pretended any lock is impossible to defeat, because that's not real. The job is to turn a thirty-second grab into a loud, fiddly, drawn-out hassle that most won't want a bar of, and the bright colour means they're weighing that up before they've even reached the car. Easy for you to fit, a headache for anyone else. That's the balance we're after.
