Locktrip has great selection and low prices. I have used Locktrip for several bookings because they had the best prices and I have never had any problems when I get to the hotel. Way to go Locktrip!

Great value

Great prices with genuine savings. I like the app and website although both are glitchy, crashing and prices changing. But it seems to be the best value hotel booking site.

LockTrip is the best hotel booking…

LockTrip is the best hotel booking platform in the world! I’ve been using it for years and they always surprise me with incredibly good prices. Their support team is simply amazing – they respond quickly and are always helpful whenever I have a question or run into an issue. Ever since I discovered LockTrip, I haven’t used any other booking platform.

Više puta sam rezervirala hotele u različitim gradovima i zemljama i uvijek je sve prošlo u redu. Dobila sam sobu i uslugu koju sam rezervirala. A sve je bilo po nižoj cijeni nego kod drugih ponuđača. Upravo sam rezervirala za Uskrs hotel u Opatiji po nevjerojatno nižoj cijeni u odnosu na druge stranice. Ja sam stvarno prezadovoljna i iskreno preporučam. Hvala Lock Trip!

While the support team was responsive

I gave this company a second chance and booked a room, only to be contacted later and told the booking was "unsuccessful." This follows a series of systemic issues with their platform. I initially attempted a booking where the payment didn’t go through, and when I tried a second time immediately after, the price had jumped by 50 euros. While the support team was initially responsive and promised to escalate the issue to management to "make it up to me," the handling of my claim was completely unprofessional. Management simply shifted the blame to my card rather than taking responsibility for their own platform error.

Based on this experience, I question the fact they have partnerships with the hotels they advertise. As a first-time user, I found the customer service awkward and the platform entirely unreliable. I would not trust them again and strongly recommend staying away. I will be raising a formal claim with the local consumer protection authority to review their practices.

Thank you for your feedback. We believe in full transparency, so we'd like to provide the facts for anyone reading this.

This review combines two entirely separate interactions and mischaracterises both.

First interaction: The customer's payment was declined because 3D Secure authentication — a mandatory security verification performed entirely by the customer's bank — was not completed. To be clear: 3D Secure exists to protect consumers from unauthorised transactions. It is handled exclusively between the cardholder and their bank. No travel platform, airline, retailer, or any online merchant can intervene in, bypass, or influence this process. The payment failed, therefore no booking was created and no funds were taken. This is not a platform error — it is the banking system working as designed.

When the customer retried hours later, the hotel's rate had changed. This is dynamic pricing — the universal pricing model across the entire travel industry. Airlines, hotels, car rentals, and cruise lines all adjust rates in real time based on demand and availability. A seat on Lufthansa or a room on Booking.com at 8pm will not be the same price at 8am the next day. A rate is only secured upon completed payment. We do not set, control, or manipulate hotel pricing — we aggregate rates from multiple suppliers and display the lowest available price in real time. Our margin on this booking actually decreased between sessions.

Second interaction: The customer returned, successfully completed payment, and booked at the displayed price. Our system logs confirm the price was identical at every step — search results, hotel page, and checkout — with zero deviation. Unfortunately, the reservation could not be confirmed. This is a rare but known occurrence across the travel industry when hotels overbook across multiple distribution channels.

Our team reached out within 90 minutes, offered comparable alternatives with similar savings/value, and when the customer preferred a refund, we processed the full €749.12 the same day.

To summarise: no financial loss occurred, no price was manipulated, and support was provided at every stage. The rate booked represented a significant saving compared to the same room on major competing platforms — a saving the customer would have realised, as the vast majority of our bookings confirm successfully.

We have served thousands of customers since 2017 and our complete correspondence with this customer is available for review.

First time booked via LockTrip ;success!

First time I booked via LockTrip, everything finally worked well.
Managed to find room of a certain class at TTC Rihana Resort El_Gouna that was not available in any other channels.

I just hope to receive also confirmation from the hotel at the time when booking is confirmed by LockTrip. This would create surety of successfully reserved accomotation. Customers Support helped us to get the ok from hotel, and we were Happy with that.

Definitely recommended!

Nice experience

Locktrip is an hotel reservation platform similar to Booking or Agoda. I had been tracking hotel prices here for a while — the prices were usually good, but I always had the fear of “What if we have problems at the hotel with the kids?” So for the first time yesterday, I gathered the courage to make a hotel reservation.

Yesterday, I completed a reservation through this website — including the tax I paid at the hotel — for 260 EUR, whereas the cheapest price online was ETStur’s(Turkish hotel website) price of 305EUR.

I didn’t face any issues during check-in or check-out.

From now on, I can say it has moved to the top of my list of websites to check when searching for hotels.

They have fantastic customer support

They have fantastic customer support. They answer and address all the problems so fast. They are always helpful. You feel very protected as a customer. Plus, if you compare the prices with other booking websites and apps, they are so much cheaper. My daughter had an accident at a hotel I booked through Locktrip app, and I contacted them, stated the facts, and circumstances. The hotel was found liable for the injury, and after checking with the partner provider, they have approved the compensation request. The whole process was done so fast,and they kept me updated all the time. 5 stars from me!

Stellar Customer Service

Locktrip gives great rates and awesome customer service. I have booked hotels all over the US with them with no hiccups, but my last reservation I scheduled for the wrong dates for my stay. They were able to contact the hotel for me and have MY MISTAKE sorted out with a few minutes without any extra fees. I can't thank them enough!

I booked a family stay at a price clearly displayed in BAM (Bosnia and Herzegovina Convertible Marks) and paid the deposit accordingly. Only after that, I received an email stating that the actual price was in EUR — nearly twice as high as what was originally shown. Based on the displayed price, I had already cancelled another secure reservation made through a different platform.

LockTrip acknowledged a “technical issue” in their payment processor that led to the currency being displayed incorrectly, but they failed to take real responsibility for the error or honor the price I was shown at the time of booking.

They offered a refund of my deposit (which is the bare legal minimum) and a so-called goodwill gesture of €50 in credit — but refused to provide any official case report or formal acknowledgment of fault. The alternative hotel they suggested was also well outside my budget, and other options I proposed were either dismissed or listed at a higher price than on competing platforms like Booking.com.

After wasting hours searching for new accommodations, dealing with uncertainty, and enduring unnecessary stress, I ultimately decided never to use LockTrip again. While I did receive my deposit back, the damage was already done.

Advice to future users: If you're booking with LockTrip using their “Book Now, Pay Later” model — double check the currency, and be aware that the platform may distance itself from responsibility in the event of errors that are clearly on their side.

Excellent Service

First time using LockTrip and was very hesitant about it. We had trouble with our hotel because they closed the amenities on short notice and Locktrip resolved our situation with the hotel and we were able to check out early and get refunded. Their response is very fast and they don't leave you alone. I will use LockTrip again and I highly recommend it.

Problem with extra charges at the property (not mentioned while booking)

We've had an issue with property for extra charges not mentioned in our booking. After trying (unsuccessfully) to resolve it with property, we have reached to Locktrip customer support. Their response was prompt and helpful. We got a refund for our extra expenses. (All this took only 2 days with Locktrip customer support)

I will definetely book with them again!
