Yemeni Sidr Honey is one of the finest and rarest honeys in the world. Its distinctive taste, health promoting nutritious values and limited harvesting gives it this reputation. But what makes our honey so special? Our honey is sourced from the biblical Lote Tree, or the ‘Tree of Life’ otherwise known as the Ziziphus spina christiplant. Grown in the desert valleys of Tihamah, our honey is harvested only twice a year – once during the peak of the summer heat and once more during the cooler winds of autumn. Thus, throughout the harvests we are able to appreciate the variances in taste and texture. The Sidr tree spreads its branches across vast valleys from which the aroma easily attracts the bees that look forward to the rich feast served in the flower caps of these trees. The nectar produced inside the flowers is extremely potent and full of nutritional values which contribute to the medicinal qualities of the honey. It is also rich with antimicrobial properties which come from non-peroxide activity. In Yemen, the method of beekeeping has always been a traditional one with a lot of diligence and craft often passed from one generation to the next. No chemicals or drugs allowed. No machinery used at all. All are done using simple tools, a little smoke and glistening machetes. The result? Simple. Rich and tasty honey – poured, unheated and raw, into containers, thus preserving its vital live enzymatic constituents. And you, our happy customers.

Change of taste and bad customer service
I was a big fan of this honey but my most recent order had a strange taste and I wasn’t able to consume it. The company refused to offer an exchange or refund. Not great especially if your regular customer feedback on a batch. Sorry but I won’t be ordering again. Poor customer service.

Good
Bought a bottle of sidr honey and sidr honey with black seeds. Amazing taste as expected. My kids also love having honey and black seeds because of it. The plain sidr honey could have been a bit less runny. I used to get sidr honey from Yemeni shops in KSA as a kid. They used to be super viscous. That's why the comment regarding the consistency. Otherwise no issues with that as well. I would definitely buy again.

Poor quality and even worse customer service
No comparison between the product ordered last time and the same product ordered previously. First order was special and the last one was just ordinary and expensive given
The quality. Customer service was useless as they kept repeating that both products are of the same batch. Poor quality given the price tag and worse customer service.

While we understand that taste preferences can vary, we operate under strict health and safety guidelines, which prevent us from accepting returns of opened food items—this is clearly outlined in our returns policy on the website and is standard practice across the food industry.
We did our best to resolve the matter, including offering a goodwill discount for future purchases, but unfortunately, we couldn’t accept a return on an opened jar. We value all feedback, though we do feel that a 1-star rating may not fully reflect the level of service provided.
