I have used them a few times

I have used them a few times, for simple beading mostly. The product has been OK, and far better then what can be found in the big diy sheds. Price was reasonable for what I was after, oak. Delivery cost was also OK, not cheap, but given the length, 3M, to be expected. Not had any contact with customer service, so I can’t comment. The reason for one star is the time for delivery, always a month. No idea as to why, either the actual company behind the web site is one man and a dog, or, when they get an order some bloke, or these days a lady, goes looking for a tree. The other option is that they are a re seller, buying in the product as required, and are on pro form invoicing by their suppliers. I aways pay by CC, just in case. My account says we have received payment and will action your order shortly, yeh, right.

As stated on our website, the lead time on all orders is from 3-18 working days, excluding weekends and bank holidays. Your most recent order was placed on 27th May and was delivered on Thursday 8th June. This means your order was delivered within 8 working days from the date it was placed.

Additionally, after looking into your previous orders with us, these have also always been delivered within our stated lead time.

We do strongly advise that if orders are required urgently, that customers should contact us straight away so that we can schedule the earliest available delivery date.

We are extremely sorry to hear that you are not happy with the service you have been provided and we really do hope to receive your custom in the future. Ordered 3 x3mtr oak upstanding one ok two useless bent and cupped contacted them sent pics no replies several emails and messages later still no reply what a waste of money and time avoid this company at all costs

We can see that you contacted our Sales Team on 30th May to notify us that two of the items you received in your order were damaged. We responded to you on the same day to ask for images of this damage so that our Technical Team could assess these and advise you on the next steps, you then provided us with the images on the same day.

A member our Sales Team then responded to you on 1st June to confirm the outcome of our investigation. As advised on our website and in all customer correspondence, we aim to respond to all customer enquiries within 1-2 working days.

Very poor

Two weeks on and still no delivery, no response to emails I’ve sent the sales team, holding up my job badly now.
Will not use again

Goods arrived roughly on time but....

I read the reviews after I ordered so was a bit worried! However, after 21 days I emailed, and had a reply the next day saying my order was being readied for delivery. Within a few hours had confirmation of delivery for the following week. 3 days later I had an email to say the goods were with the courier and 4 days later the goods arrived. The goods were on time, as described and in perfect order. So in one respect the ordering process wasn't too bad for me. HOWEVER! Since ordering my mailbox has been plagued by spam emails. And I dont mean a few, I get about 30 a day!! I had not done any business with any other company a few days either side of this order. Hence only 4-stars, if the emails don't stop it may get reviewed again!

They will be there to answer your call and give you the help

I've read the reviews, but was still curious to know if this company is really as bad as people have commented, and yes they are.
Emailed about getting a sample before I place a decent priced order. And guess what? Silence.
Oh but if you want to know what Loveskirting think of themselves then just take a few minutes to read their website:
“We offer you superior products at unbeatable prices with an excellent professional service...but we have not forgotten what really matters to us, you, the customer”…
“Customer service is vital to us. Loveskirting has a dedicated, experienced team of staff... They will be there to answer your call and give you the help and advice you may need when choosing your wood”. Interesting as well, that they only respond to 5star reviews - Avoid.

We can see that you placed a sample order with us on 25th April and this was then sent out around a week later. We then received an email from you on 15th May to find out some further information on our samples and how they work, a member of our Sales Team responded to your enquiry on the same day.

Poor quality

Wouldn't purchase from again, poor customer service, took several emails before a response and wasn't helpful when they did respond. Item was bowed and isn't fit for purpose, selling poor quality products.

Extremely poor service and…

Extremely poor service and communication! Ordered a sample on 8th April, reminded them by email on the 18th April that I was still waiting, I reminded them again by email on 21st April and asked for an update. I did not receive any response, I gave up waiting and sourced materials locally.
My sample arrived today the 4th May.
Thankfully I only ordered a £2.00 sample of only one of the products I had intended to buy, not the £2,000.00 worth I had planned to spend.
I even opened up an account in readiness!

Long lead times, good quality

I did see all of the negative reviews before ordering but went ahead with the order having low expectations. I just couldn't find what I wanted anywhere else.
It's jarring in these days of Amazon Prime next day delivery to be told it will take up to 18 working days. I knew what to expect though, so I patiently waited. In the end it was actually 22 working days before I got my order.
I did email once (after 18 working days) and they replied within a few hours with the scheduled delivery date, and it did arrive on that date.
Would use again, just keep your expectations low regarding lead times.
I really like these wooden door thresholds.

Good experience with LoveSkirting

I see there are quite a few negative reviews for LoveSkirting however I have to say that I’ve had a good experience with LoveSkirting. This is my second time of using LoveSkirting and yes I had fairly long lead times with both orders of a few weeks this time round and three or four weeks on my previous order a few years back so yes you need to plan well ahead but other than that both orders of skirting arrived on the advised delivery day. I did have a problem with some of the skirting on my recent order which was warped but loveskirting responded to me same day I contacted them and sent replacements out without quibble. I certainly will use LoveSkirting again. PS It’s lovely skirting too and the best price I could find on the internet.

Same old story as everyone else-…

Same old story as everyone else- ordered and was given a delivery date then company said there was a ‘delay’ in order being sent. I think they just take your money and fob you off tbh. Luckily I paid via PayPal and launched a dispute- lo and behold they were on their way. However, they use Tuffnels courier who are as horrendous to deal with as they are- say they are coming to deliver between 7 am and 7pm- you wait in all day and they don’t turn up. No email or phone number to contact?? I waited in all day with a newborn baby in what is essentially a building site. They turned up the following day and luckily the builders were at the house so could take in the shipment. Drivers were rude and aggressive according to our builder.

The skirting is quite nice (solid oak) but there has been a weird sort of coloured oil used on them so they don’t match the natural oiled oak on the main floor. I don’t dare send them back as I know I’ll probably be waiting months on end to resolve any issue with them. Looks like I’ll have to put up with the skirting and possibly sand them down.

If you value your time and sanity AVOID this company.

Currently experiencing horrendous…

Currently experiencing horrendous customer service from this company.

We were told to expect delivery of the oak thresholds we ordered on Wed 12th April and nothing arrived. We have tried to contact them via email several times as they provide no other contact on the website. No response, nothing.

They have a "Live Chat" link on their website - which, when you click it - nothing happens, so there is no Live Chat function.

This is delaying works on our home and we have no alternative means of chasing this down.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
My delivery was meant to be today. Had an email at 5.40 last night to say it had been delayed. The email stated to call them or use live chat, the telephone number and live chat are not in use. Very suspicious. Have received an email today to say it is being delivered tomorrow. I’ll happily update tomorrow but upon reading other reviews this will also be delayed.

avoid at all costs extortionate delivery costs not refunded

I placed an order from this company and paid the extortionate £20 delivery charge as needed the order urgently a week later still no delivery date, no way of contacting the company to chase the order other than automated email responses, the live chat is disabled and phone lines constantly "engaged". as i paid via paypal i requested a full refund I have only received the cost of the goods £27 and not the £20 delivery charge, this company needs to be avoided at all costs

Delivery very poor

Delivery very poor. They email you to tell you your delivery will e dispatched in a couple of days to then email you again on the day of delivery to advise that there is a problem with your delivery. Eventually the products arrives 10 - 15 days later. Unacceptable when it is a paid for delivery. This has happened on both my orders. I will not be using the company again

Our Scheduling Team sent you an email on 28th March (after the weekend), to confirm that your order would be delivered on 30th March as requested. This meant your order was being delivered within 4 working days since it was placed.

Delivery and quality issues

Good range of items, and reasonably priced. However, delivery is 3 to 18 working days. My order was very small, and delivery was 20 pounds. For a small order at such a high delivery cost I didn't expect to be waiting at the top end of that timeline. The order took 22 calendar days to reach me. On top of that, the middle section of the scotia I ordered was damaged - evidence of poor quality control. I've raised with LoveSkirting and await their reply.

As stated on our website, the lead time on all orders is 3-18 working days, excluding weekends and bank holidays. All delivery charges can be found on our website also, this webpage shows how our delivery charges are calculated.

We can see that your order was placed on 19th February and delivery for this was made on 13th March, which means your order was delivered within 16 working days from when it was placed. This is within our lead time.

Additionally, we would like to sincerely apologise that one of the lengths you received was damaged. You contacted us about this on the day you received your order and we responded two days later to advise that we would be processing a full refund for this length, which you accepted. We can see from our system that your refund has been processed by the Accounts Team.

We are extremely sorry to hear that you are not happy with the service that has been provided, however, we really do hope to receive your custom in the future.
