I chose Lovo.ai and Genny for one reason: I could synthesize my own voice for narrating my books. I am not a pro at narration, and cannot afford the high cost of hiring someone as I am a new author. Genny gives me the ability to narrate my own books.
It is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, the voice is actually really good. I edit the audio files with Audacity, so I can remove weird stuff that happens occasionally - like the sound of breathing (?). All-in-all I like the software a lot.
My beef with Lovo.ai is their pricing, and time. The pro level gives you only 5 hours a month. 5 hours is not enough to do a whole book. Especially the first time. I used up two months of generation time getting the first book out the door. Book two went better. But they steal time from you. On the 29th of July, I had 2 hours of generation time left. They erased that the next day, and gave me my quota of only 5 hours for the month of August. As far as I am concerned, I had two more days in July. This has happened before as well. In June and May they did the same thing. BEFORE the end of the month, they wiped out what ever time I had left and started the next month.
They will not budge on their payment plans. The one I have now (PRO) is a far cry from the next level up. Pro gives me 5 hours, the next one is 20 hours and a whole lot more money.
So if you are not needing to synthesize your voice, and you have only small projects -- this is an IDEAL product.

I started with the free trial and after about an hour of using the product, I was super disappointed in the quality. I immediately canceled my subscription using the instructions provided in their FAQ.

The company then continued to bill me for months and when I reached out to ask for it to be corrected they said they have no record of my cancellation so they would not refund my money. I never logged in again after my cancellation request. Bad way of doing business.

The voices were taken without the people's consent. They stole them and not paying the actors.

slow, difficult to use and playbacks don't playback which is not helpful.

Needs serious speeding up to be a usable tool.

Absolutely underwhelming. LOVO.ai's lack of support is glaring, and the constant stability issues make it nearly unusable

Paid for subscription and got access to a handful of voices to be then told you have to go pro to use the full catalogue. Asked for a refund and told I couldn't have one even though I didn't download anything.

says free ai voice generation and after you're done creating audios you meeet with the paywall. Pathetic

This TTS service is not stable and you could lose all your work in seconds as there are issues with saves or even conversion. You can't expect having an answer from them even with the supposed customer service. Website has very few informations about the company behind making me feel like I have being scammed to be an early adopter. For a service used only 2 times before facing issues, LOVO is definitely not worth it and a total waste of time and money.

You can't trust this company and its software. They DELETE voices without warning, with no explanation and no apology at all. AVOID, do not buy, do not risk it or you may waste a lot of time using a voice which disappears. The basic disregard of customers who have creative projects that they may need to continue with or to edit in the future shows a complete lack of understanding of their service, it's basically appalling and ultimately means this company will fail. Turning your early customers from advocates into feeling like this is not the way a company thrives! My experience with this company has undermined my whole view of TTS.

The customer support is non-existent so is the Discord community which they mention on their website. Text to Speech AI is below par too. -100/5 star rating.

I have been using the Lovo.ai tts for a while now and find it one of the very best platforms for the production of realistic human voice synthesis.

Lovo has a simple interface, easy to follow and use, without tuition.

Out of the box as it were, your recording will sound great, the secret to getting nr. perfect tonality is what takes a little bit of practice.

The trick is not to write as you would normally do.. put . or comma's in the middle of sentences to emphasize parts of that sentence and you will get almost perfect tonality.

Top Tip... do not use "don't" "didn't" etc. as you will not get the sound you are looking for.

Is there a learning curve, yes of course, but you can have a convincing voice recording very easily and in short time.

Using " !, ?, - and . " will add a pause or join words to pronounce the sounds you are trying to achieve, for the most natural sound.

Yes there are a few things that need attention, for example forcing you to add a new title for your project when saving and a few voices do not sound quite right, but you have over 160 voices to chose from and many languages are addressed with their pronunciation, though as I only speak English I can't comment as to their accuracy.

You can of course sign up for their free account to test the platform, though it's for personal use only and you only have use of the premium voices for 3 days.

Conclusion: This has a very committed owner who, in my case, has offered top notch support and vision for his platform.

Go forth and try it for yourselves, you wont regret it. Just remember that perfection does require a bit of thought and experimentation!

Lovo is a great tool to turn text into sound. Well there are many apps like that, but this is the FIRST one that has almost perfect sound without robotic feeling. This app opened so much possibility, and saves time and money by not having to use third party services for turning text to sound. The user interface is great, lots of voice options, but unfortunately not all of the voices have deep editing capabilities like (pause, emphesize and etc). Some languages like Ukrainian have limited amount of voices. Otherwise, a great cool app, and processing of voice is fast too, only a few seconds.

I have been using TTS since 2016 for my animation and training purposes. I have used all major TTS service providers in the market. Most of the voices generated are quite similar and sound like robotic, however, some TTS service providers have given the flexibility to fine tune pauses, breaks and high/low tone.

The most beautiful thing I have found in LOVO is some amazing voice skins. It is so natural and polished.

I will suggest one area of Improvement (not problem) to bring a feature of adding pauses, breaks and intonations. Also, I am looking for dialogue or more than 2 person's conversation features ( in the same Text box), where I can select 1 voice for 1 sentence and another voice for another sentence because it will help me and other animators to create voice over for different characters easily.

Definitely my best purchase for 2021.

After comparing various ttl's and conducting lots of testing among the top ones, I am glad I chose LOVO.

Simply try it on your own and you will be amazed at the voices. Some are robotic, but there are many natural-sounding voices that do a better job than me when I speak.

I can now rely on it to generate content without having to do all the talking.

Some of the voices are robotic and also they need to add more voices for Spanish Mexican. However, it's great for American English

The US market has lots of Latinos who speak Mexican Spanish but LOVO doesn't have any Mexican voiceovers. It's needed greatly in my marketing campaigns.

Having tried other TTS softwares in the past and having hundreds of campaigns done with them? I have a good perspective on what is good AI voice software.

This rivals other top notch products like Descript and Synthesis.
You can also create your custom voice. But its going to be insanely expensive lol.

I believe the used the same technology as they all mispronounce the word "LIVE".

If you dont want your campaigns to sound like a text to speech software? THis is the product you want to get!

There are a load of custom, user submitted voices to choose from! And thats where it has the edge over Synthesis and Descript.
All other text to speech programs, rely on standard and neural voices from Google and Amazon Poly. This doesnt! It relies on custom voice skins, as they are calling it.

The pronounciation editor is game changer! For example, with other tools who mispronounce "Live"? You have to change the spelling of your text to "Leave". But this tool can be modified to properly pronounce any mispronounced or obscure words.

Highly recommended for sure.

At first, I was skeptical about this AI-like-voice-generator.
I got burned in the past with the other developer who promised their app is the best in the world.

I took the plunge by testing Lovo with their free account.
I used my bogus email because I will never let myself fall into same hole twice in a row.

Threw few words the I was "wow". "Gary Inskeep", their so-called AI voice machine caught my attention. You don't feel a robotic nature in Gary. This is a top notch app. Richard Hall is my favorite.

He is favorite secret weapon. I have found the best tool to scale my Youtube Automation. Richard's voice is suitable for my Top 10- Review niche. This is my use-case.
I no longer have to to memorize script and learn the complex voice over or try to sound professional. Lovo has it all.

I think I have found the perfect tool to scale up my video production business especially in Youtube Automation.

There are many similar tools in the market, but they are mostly using typical TTS engines. Lovo has its own TTS engine. You will be amazed by its quality.

There are many voices available, but watch out for the available languages that you need, but I believe it will be increased over time.

You can define the pronunciation of words. You can also emphasize words by clicking the words and adjust the speed. I hope there will be more fine-tuning features available.

The editor is edited in sentences, so it may take some time to adjust to it. Prefer the normal text editor view and able to adjust by selecting words, phrase or sentences, so it will be faster to edit.

There are UI/UX to be improved, and the team seems to be passionate and willing to listen for suggestion. So, I'm hopeful that it will be improved.

Nonetheless, it has amazing quality, so this is a deal not to be missed, if you need TTS.

Lovo Studio is a great upcoming TTS system that has large variety of voices that sound unrealistic. The UI is simple to use but could be made a bit more interesting and some of the voices are not as convincing as others.

I am looking forward to seeing this software grow and improve on the quality of the voices.
