This is our 3rd visit to Luminate and we really enjoyed it! Loved the grounds full of different colour bulbs. Walking round felt easier as the uphill bit was at the start, rather than towards the end... Ver más
Our 1st Luminate due to the extended doggie nights at Sandringham. Really enjoyed it. Loved the trees lit up with disco balls best. The 1/2 way point did seem to be more like 2/3. Although we liked t... Ver más

Beautiful lights but pricey
Beautiful lights, brilliant for all ages and a festive treat for us. We’ve been going to Sandringham for five years.
The price increase has made it more difficult to afford year on year, especially as there was also no Blue Light discount offered this year as in previous years.
I also wondered how many people were checked going through to the trail as not many tickets were checked and nobody was counted!
There was also no water available on the night that we went (to purchase from the vendors on site, or otherwise) and upon asking we were advised to use the tap used for dogs. I didn’t find this particularly appealing.
The lights were excellent
The lights were excellent and very well planned and laid out. The weather was against us and we were totally drenched by the end but obviously nothing we could do about that. It was a lovely way to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Would certainly go again.
We really enjoyed it
We really enjoyed it. It's not massive but it's very lovely.

We have visited luminate every year for the last three years and loved every minute of it. The December just gone I must say was the best of them all so far! We can’t wait to attend again this year and next and so on.

We enjoyed it and it took longer than I thought it would to walk around the whole thing. Food and drink options weren't great and were expensive but overall pleasantly impressed with the whole thing
Not quite as good as last year
Not quite as good as last year. Still no nutritional information on the marshmallows (so type 1 diabetics can’t eat them) and no spare sticks so they could join in. Asked unreasonable questions about service dog far outside of legal requirements.
Luminate at Sandringham
We went to Sandringham. It was our second year. First up, the volunteers and guides are super friendly so you feel very welcome. It's pretty on arrival with the little funfair rides lit up. The light trail itself is lovely. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was that the previous year there was one display with fake snow and there wasn't any fake snow this year. But what was there was beautiful and some were mesmerising, so we were there quite a long time. A mulled wine half way around helped keep us warm!
Grandchildren loved it.
We came to Birmingham Botanical Gardens light trail last year and the family asked to return again because they had loved it so much. This year it was still very good and my grandchildren loved it, but I felt the grand finale laser show wasn't half as impressive and atmospheric as the coloured lights that had covered the entire large lawn last year.

Lights were amazing and our little ones loved them. Could’ve done with more food options, more seating and some seating inside
Great night walking amongst the lights
Great night walking amongst the lights, very impressive. Everyone in my party really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back this year.
Had a great time
Had a great time! WS good to go before December to avoid busy times and felt had it all to our selfs.
Can’t wait to go back!
Having never been to a light event before we were unsure of what to expect, however, the event far exceeded our expectations. We went to the light trail in Bristol and I have recommended it to everyone, from the very start it was well organised and easy (parking and getting tokens for marshmallows), the lights were brilliant from the start. We loved the interactive games and were not rushed once, we walked around twice. Writing a wish was also beautiful. My very favourite part however was the fairies, that was a slice of true magic. Already looking forward to 2026.

We went to the shire at Ashton court in Bristol. It was wonderful, so tasteful and good value for money.
It was a fantastic experience
It was a fantastic experience, lighting superb and very well directed. Well worth going to see.

The lights were awesome and some even quite beautiful
The trail was the perfect length
The staff were friendly (especially the guy and girl in the marshmallow shack)
The food and drink offerings were great - we tried most things and it was all good quality and tasty with generous portions.
The only reason for the missing star is the cost. Everything was soooo overpriced.
I’d definitely do the trail again —— but for a tenner less.
Lovely evening
Lovely evening, really enjoyed all the lights.
Had a lovely evening with family
Had a lovely evening with family. We enjoyed it as much as the grandchildren. Definitely an evening to remember. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overpriced drinks and food..on top of an expensive ticket and paying for car park on top. We visited Sandringham again in December 2025 as we enjoyed the previous year but it didn't have the same magical feel and there were less amazing lights...seemed very ordinary 😪
Enjoyable evening out
We absolutely loved this light show and its the best we have been to since Anglesey Abbey closed theirs. We will definitely be back again next year.
We spent about 2 hours there. I loved the toasting marshmallows on the firepits.
