Deceptive booking + untrained staff = never again
I had a really frustrating experience at Magic Key Resort. I booked a one-night stay through Hotels.com, assuming I was getting a room for that night. Since I booked just after midnight, the system automatically moved my reservation to the next day without clearly telling me. When I got to the hotel and explained the situation, the front desk clerk (Ashley) had no idea how to fix it. She couldn't cancel or adjust the booking and basically left me stranded.
I ended up having to pay again for the same night, directly at the front desk. So I paid twice for one room — and when I reached out to management about it, they didn’t care. No refund, no credit, not even an apology.
The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Between the booking confusion, the untrained staff, and the total lack of accountability, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are better-run hotels nearby that actually know how to treat their guests.
