I was originally recommended to contact Making Energy Greener by a neighbour who recently had an air source heat pump, solar panels, and internal wall insulation installed at their home. At first, I was a bit apprehensive about the amount of work involved and wasn’t very familiar with the ECO4 scheme. However, once I reached out to MEG, I immediately felt reassured. Everyone I dealt with was polite, knowledgeable, and guided me through the entire process with patience and clarity.

After a few technical inspections by their experienced team, I received a detailed proposal for the work, which impressed me with the level of information and care provided. Once I agreed to the plan, the engineers arrived promptly, were respectful throughout, and did an outstanding job. They cleaned up thoroughly and left my home feeling like new.

Any concerns I had at the start completely disappeared. The quality of the work was exceptional, and now I’m fully prepared for winter. I couldn’t recommend Making Energy Greener more highly, if you want a reliable, efficient, and informative company, look no further. Once again cannot praise EMG highly enough. Came out as an emergency for heating. Diagnosed the fault and came out the following day with the part. Boiler was fixed within 24hrs of callout. Family run no nonsense business. Wouldn't trust anyone else

From their initial first contact with me, the process was very very straight forward. Surveyor arrived as scheduled and then the company contacted me with a view to an install date. We was so happy when we found out that we got the grant for air source pump, solar roof and extra insulation in loft. Their install team are extremely professional. We are looking forward to reduced bills.

Almost every aspect of the job was efficient and despite the inevitable mess and upheaval the team of workmen were amazing.

Making Energy Greener is the only accredited insulation supplier that my electrical supplier (Scottish Power) deals with in my area. I was eligible for loft insulation, had a surveyor come out with no issues. Unfortunately they could not install the loft insulation until ceilings were put up which is fair enough. I kept them well updated on the progress of this and they were polite to deal with and professional. When I finally called to book in, they said they no longer have the budget to continue.

I assumed they had been cut from Scottish Power so I resubmitted an application again, only for my application to be sent to Making Energy Greener who are refusing to install the loft insulation due to no funding available through the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) scheme.

It is rather disappointing and I can’t understand why as the GBIS scheme is still on-going, covers loft insulation and my house is eligible as I simply have no loft insulation currently. Frustrating experience.

I arranged time off work for an assessment of my property twice - only for the surveyor not to turn up on both occasions. Consumer Rights (who referred me to MEG) are aware and I will be opting to go with an alternative company. A very unprofessional company and a huge waste of my time, especially when it is difficult for me to plan appointments in advance due to ill heath. I have received no apology from the company, just a generic email stating my energy efficiency scheme application has been cancelled. Very poor.

Make Energy Greener have been outstanding from start to finish. The workmanship is top-quality, with every detail done to perfection. Communication was clear and prompt throughout, and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. A truly professional, friendly, and reliable service – highly recommended!

What a great bunch of workmen.
The whole adventure was quite an upheaval, but the fact the teams were respectful, empathetic and fairly tidy, made it so much easier and they were a joy to have around.
Considering what works were covered here, we are surprised it went so well.

Making Energy Greener are a brilliant company. Each person we dealt with at the various steps of the process, from initial survey/assessment, to setting out the contract/plan of works to the engineers were all patient and highly professional.

What can I say! Apart from a massive thank you, to Craig. From start to finish the whole process from your business has been hassle free, the lads who came were exceptional Rick and Paul both treated my house with respect and were both really polite and done an amazing job. We would a million percent recommend you guys to anyone.

As another reviewer has noted, there is apparently little communication between the company and the surveyors that they employ. I was called out of the blue, to be informed that an application via my energy company had been successful and that I was eligible for various energy efficiency measures. The survey was scheduled for today, so I made arrangements to be home. After the ‘survey’ which was far less than the 3 hours quoted, I was informed that I was not eligible for assistance. I had been asked to provide proof of my income and utility bills in advance, which I submitted in good faith. Please do not lead customers to believe that assistance is forthcoming (‘the money has been secured’ I was quoted), to then retract that support at a future date.

So last year I had an ashp system installed by MEG.
Given that it was in the summer, it took a while before I could get to grips with the system. But by the end of January it was evident that I hadn't got a fine tuned system.
So after a couple of emails and phone calls, I ended up chatting with the CEO. What a pleasure that was.
Polite and professional and within a week he had sent out what I can only describe as the most amazing team of engineers.
Who were informative and clearly knew there way around the system. They explained what needed adjusting and how the system was best used.
Now I know why people say these ashps are way more economical than oil.
My experience of MEG has been 1st class.
The aftercare is excellent.
If you're looking to have a system installed, serviced or fine tuned this is definitely the company to go with.
Nothing was too much trouble, and how many company owners take time to talk to customers? Highly recommend and if there were 6 stars, I would give them because everything that was promised was delivered.

We had a another solar company install a system, the company has since gone out of business and the system has stopped working. I asked for recommendations and was told of MEG. They have been responsive about arranging a technician to come out. The technician came when arranged, was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I have just had Arem, a surveyor doing a complete survey of my house for possible cavity wall insulation or other energy saving services. He was very quietly spoken, polite and respectful and did an excellent, efficient job. I would highly recommend him. A very personable young man.

We’ve had our new Air source central heating system installed about 4 months now and naturally there’s going to be a few teething problems, thankfully nothing major but when I’ve called MEG they’ve always replied to my calls and dealt with the said issue.
Once again I can’t recommend this company enough and thank them so much for all their help and understanding.

I've had the best experience ever today with the loft insulation team, Jordan and Stephen from Making Energy Greener! Highly professional, expert fitters, completed the job in good time, couldn't have asked for more, they even cleaned up when they'd finished so my house has been left spotless. Well done to Making Energy Greener, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

Had the pleasure of the Making Energy Greener lads sorting out all my home issues last week.
The insulation lads were fab in the attic and didn’t cut any corners. It’s a fab job and tidied up. Both lads polite and really friendly.
The cavity wall guys were equally as nice and professional. Worked so hard and tidied up every bit of mess so it wa immaculate afterwards. Great lads and great work. Thanks

I know it was a bit back and forward with dates but the lads did your company proud. Hard Working, Good attention to detail, persistence, good workmanship, cleaned up after themselves every time and very polite and approachable.

I would just like to say another big thank you to you all at Making Energy Greener and especially to the Two lads (Sorry I didn't get their names again) who have done the new Cavity insulation installation work for us today.
The lads did your company proud. Hard Working, Good attention to detail, persistence, good workmanship, cleaned up after themselves and very polite and approachable.

They explained how the system worked and what was the purpose of drilling holes in the wall at certain locations and how the machine fills the cavity 👍

They all deserve a pay rise 👍😀
