Have been using manmade cycle to recycle my old devices for a few times. Very good service. The trade-in value is usually very good compared to other retailers. Highly recommended.

After several weeks of waiting I was told my items were lost by Australia Post and was told I'd have to follow up with them, only to find out my items had been received four days after being shipped (and were apparently just sitting at ManMade Cycle for over 12 days while they made me chase it all up with AusPost). Once I told them it had arrived, they then processed the items and apparently my iMac had been smashed in transit and they offered me $60 for it (from the original $400+).

Apparently, there's no insurance on the shipping they advertise as completely "free", so there's nothing you can do about your items being smashed, though I was told the box arrived perfectly fine. I asked for a photo of the box but none was provided. When I asked if this happens often I was told "yeah you'd be surprised how many iMacs arrive smashed". They told me I could pay to have my now smashed computer sent back to me at my own expense.

AusPost said they could drop it off at the business centre for me to submit a claim for up to the value of $100. I asked them to do this on the 30th October. It's now the 12th November and I've had no update.

At this point I'm not even sure it was my iMac they... could have been sending me a photo of any old and smashed computer to make me take a lower price. They're also unresponsive via email and haven't paid me for the accompanying laptop I sent either.

I can't stress enough - do not use this company.

I sent in two laptops well over a month ago, got confirmation on one of them but never got the money. I’ve reached out quite a few times and nobodies gotten back to me, I understand things get busy- it’s not an excuse to ignore your customers. Your website says one thing (order processed within 8 business hours) yet the majority are having a VERY different experience from that. Don’t use this it’s a waste of time. There are other great companies that are far more efficient, I’m not even sure if this one’s a scam or not. Anyways!

Incredibly frustrating

Have used them a few times now and both times are equally as bad.

They advertise payment within 8 business hours after receiving the items - that’s a lie.
It’s been TWO days and still no payment or update on my order

They DO NOT communicate at all with their customers or update their orders accordingly instead leave the customer to chase them for payment or any updates.

Was told over the phone my order will be processed today but what do you know nothing has been done.

They don’t answer the phone, don’t respond to emails absolutely nothing.

Great concept to recycle old electronics and get some extra money but never again will I use this company OR recommend anyone else to use them
