I started a new job and Manpower told me that they had closed my account and it "automatically" sends my P45 to the HMRC. As soon as I told them I was leaving they were completely unprofessional and down right rude.
After 2 weeks of no P45, I called them to be told that it's got nothing to do with them now and it's already been sent over.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited another 3 weeks and still no P45. I called and was ignored for a whole week of phone calls.
I eventually gave up and rang the HMRC who told me that they hadn't even sent it over to the HMRC to post out to me. So no wonder they were so reluctant to take my calls.
Just a completely unprofessional business, if you can steer clear from them then please do.

Manpower clearly don't like gay people. I had a call from them recently and I could tell right away the person on the phone was taken aback by me. He wasn't long in finding a way to end the call. It is disgusting that homophobia still exists in a working environment. I guess the clue is in their name.

Worked for them for a few months they didn’t pay me the right wage once and then got an attitude when you asked them for it , when I quit the didn’t take me off the payroll so I’d pay double tax in my new job , theirs a woman Hester if they fired her it would probably be alright but she is just terrible at her job.

Terrible company. Mis use and abuse of power.
Hire and fire scheme ruining lives of hard working people.

They hire you, Use you (to make money for them - pimp style) when they done with you then they trough you like a dirty cloth.

Do not work for Royal Mail neither, it's a big big mess, they both scam.

Worked for manpower before the whole lockdown jazz it was a call centre job, The job as a whole was alright but the way manpower handled us when it all began was so rubbish like we was not human beings to them.
I get that we was not needed there anymore as things were going slow, but it was litually a call saying we had not been fired just let go and that the job will be there afterwards and that they would help look for more work for us in the mean time but Phone call after phone call to hear anything an update on jobs we would hear nothing they knew nothing, got offered a job interview that turned out to be 2 hours away from where I live... and months pass still we hear nothing about our original job not even a "they don't want/need you back" so all the time wasted waiting and hoping was useless.. thanks for the stress manpower.
Please avoid them there are much better agency's out there.

Applied for and completed telephone interview for a Sunday PT Role - Delivering Test Kits at Royal Mail Chester.

After being accepted and completing an online profile uploading Document after document for around an Hour. I:e Driving licences, Utility Bills, P45s, wage slips you name it they want it.....Birth Certificate Which i had to purchase urgently on a 48hr delivery at £47.

To then hear nothing back regards contracts,Pay details, site details etc phone call after phone call after email and so on....then 2 days prior to starting they was awaiting further instructions now 3 weeks later nothing.....no replies no nothing.

Absolutely absurd and will never look at anything where Manpower are involved again. Don't waste your time!!

Took almost 3 months to ",join" Manpower Gatwick eventually got passed across to the 7.5 ton section and worked for Royal Mail.
15 Dec I was requested not to go to my shift, and that's the last I ever heard from them.

Manpower is the WORST agency I’ve ever worked for in my 11 active working years. They don’t care about their staff, they will not respond to you no matter the form of contact and they do not support you once you are on their books. I wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone.

What an awful company to deal with!
Applied for a Sunday shift job, had to spend a considerable amount of time uploading information including passport and driving licence access, just to be ignored by the reading office that was dealing with it. Absolutely no professionalism or consideration from this company. Save yourself the time and do not give them any!

A great company to work for if you don’t mind working for nothing (you don’t get paid). Also if zero communication is your thing, you will be right at home.

It should be criminal.... perhaps it is?

Why advertise for jobs and fail to respond? False advertising is illegal surely? Don't play with people, and as many reviews suggest, it's common for this agency. Don't bother with these cowboys, they couldn't be honest if it slapped them in the face. Avoid.

Ive been working as driver on collections ,i absolutely love the job ,although this is only to cover lockdown due to me being self employed ,but i would consider staying now , Manpower has been great ,very helpful ,any questions got back to me quickly ,glad i went through them now,told me the hours i woukd be on ,pay etc ,all turned out good ,thank you .

So I've been working for Element 14, Farnell based in Leeds through the Manpower agency for the last 11 months. First two months while you had your training and you were at the beginning were ok. But after that, they started to show their true colours. If you were another nationality except Polish or British, they would threat, exploit and discriminate you. I've been working with other agencies before, but this one is the worst experience I've got so far. Agency lied as well with bonuses that later you'll find out that they were false and they are careless. I had to leave the job and I'm currently unemployed and looking for something else. Absolutely disgusting experience, to be threaten and exploited in a middle of a pandemic. Modern slavery at its finest with minimum payrate, I wouldn't recommend it even to my enemies.

*Also, don't try to complain, they just don't care and you'll find yourself in a bigger pile of mess.

I've seen a lot of people saying manpower doesn't pay. I've work at two locations for them and not had a problem being paid. I need to sign in both online with Manpower and in the logbook at the location I'm working. If you don't sign in on both I imagine you would have a problem.

A bad thing is their recruiters are busy and don't always reply or message you if it's not good news. If you're on their books, they do reply quite quickly and with relevant information.

Don’t waste your time, they advertise jobs then tell you the company will be in touch shortly, two weeks later and multiple emails that go without unanswered and telephone numbers just ring out I have now been told by the company the position has gone.
Appalling behaviour from a company in these times also. If you are looking for a job avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Been waiting 5 weeks to start this job. Was told start date 2 weeks ago. Still not received contract, computer or call from manager and was supposed to start yesterday. Have emailed numerous times and no one has ever got back to me. I turned down two jobs in the meantime. Do not waste your time with these. If you hear about job go direct to employer. Check indeed for over 2k 1&2 star reviews. Says it all really.

Having read the reviews on here it may be a good thing I didn't actually work for them

I applied for a job with them nearly 2 months ago. The add clearly states "DRIVERS" which indicate they're looking for multiple drivers. To this date I've not had a reply from them, not even to say no thank you

If they can't even be bothered to reply to potential workers then the real question is, are they even the right people to work for

Manpower is another employment agency that will use u abuse u and throw u away like as if ur nothing

Tried to sign up with them and their compliance team were completely incompetent.
