Ich bin Opfer eines Cybererpressungs Deliktes.
Markel hat sämtliche Unterlagen über die Zahlung der Lösegeldsumme erhalten und zahlt nicht.
Sie hat über ein Jahr hinweg lediglich am Ende gemeint, daß ich noch nachweisen soll, daß das wallet auch mir gehört, von welchem ich die Erpresser gezahlt habe. Ausserdem soll ich nachweisen, daß das wallet auf das ich die Lösegeldsumme bezahlt habe auch den Erpressern gehört?

As a business owner with over a decade of experience managing commercial insurance relationships, I feel compelled to share our experience with Markel/Lloyd's claims handling through Crawford & Company. Our well-documented $126,757 claim has faced:

Retroactive coverage denied despite explicit policy inclusion
Multiple adjusters assigned without proper file transfers
Submitted documents repeatedly "lost" requiring re-submission
Zero response to time-sensitive communications
Escalation attempts met with circular referrals

After 4+ months of professional engagement attempts through every available channel (broker, supervisors, executive office), we're left with mounting costs and zero resolution. This systematic failure has impacted our operations, staff, and customers.

Document EVERYTHING
Record all communication attempts
Set clear response timelines
Escalate early and often
Maintain professional persistence

Ich hatte 10 Jahre lang eine Markel Insurance SE für mein Ein-Mann-Unternehmen einer PR-Agentur. Viele Versprechungen beim Abschluss. Im echten Schadensfall keine Unterstützung. Ich hatte mehrere Fälle, die alle sofort abgesschmettert wurden. Ich löse mein Unternehmen gerade auf und die Versicherung nimmt trotzdem noch die gesamte Jahresprämie trotz Sonderkündigungsrecht. Meine persönliche Erfahrung ist: die Versicherung war komplett umsonst und macht eher Geld mit den Ängsten der anderen. Hände weg bzw. direkt im ersten Jahr testen, ob wirklich eine echte Unterstützung geleistet wird. Ansonsten lieber einen anderen Versicherer suchen.

Ich hatte bei Markel Insurance SE zwei D&O Versicherungen.
Das Ergebnis, diese D&O ist das schlechtes was ein Versicherer anbieten kann. Sehr schlechte bis keine Kommunikation. Keinerlei Unterlagen zur Prüfung des Falls. Verweigerung der Herausgabe der Prüfungsunterlagen und so weiter. Ich rate dringend von der Markel Insurance SE ab!

BUYER BEWARE - LEFT ME (SOLO FEMALE) IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION

I had a very poor experience using Markel to insure my motorcycle. As part of their sales pitch, they sold me on a roadside assist package - I was about to embark on a motorcycle road trip and was assured this would cover any emergency issues I had. Note that Markel uses a third party roadside assist company called "Nation Safe Drivers" but the service is endorsed and sold through Markel, and my paperwork clearly states "Markel 24-Hour Emergency Road Service".

Markel's so called road side assistance was absolutely abhorrent, or more accurately - non existent. I blew my rear tire in a national park at nightfall, and spent FOUR hours on the phone with them trying to get confirmation of tow truck. They insist they have to dispatch their approved trucks in order for me to have no out of pocket costs. After hours of waiting alone in the dark, getting cold with an active bear population in the area, and still NO confirmation of a truck, I had to call my own truck (which funnily enough, came immediately - at a cost of $602!!!!!!)

Given that I:

1. Paid for roadside assistance
2. Followed all their rules when the emergency occurred
3. Was not given the service I paid for, then
4. Was left in an extremely dangerous situation (female alone on the side of the road in the dark, cold, bears)

....the right thing to do would be for Markel to reimburse me the $602.....right? Nope! I have spent countless hours being passed around from call center to call center with no one willing to take any responsibility for what was a truly horrific customer experience. They refuse to pay for the cost of tow truck I had to call because they wouldn't send one out to me - remember this is a service I PREPAID for.

After months of being palmed off by their horrible customer support team I've finally cancelled my Markel policy today and strongly encourage people in the motorcycle community to insure themselves with a more reputable company.

My best advice for roadside assistance: Get a AAA membership. They are incredibly professional, having used them multiple times following this incident, it was like night and day. Don't waste your time or money with Markel, their business model is a disgrace - take your money, don't provide the service. Shame on you Markel & Nation Safe Drivers (more like unsafe)
