Well, I'm glad I popped back onto the Trustpilot site if I'm honest. I had barely filled in my info online with the outfit to get quotes and then had a hyperactive agent calling me - about 10 seconds after the quote page came up (seriously, it may have been less). I dropped the line immediately. Looking at the reviews below I'm glad I did. Still, they have my phone number so I can look forward to more

Is there anything we can trust anymore? The online process seems to be no better than jumping blindly into a pit of vipers.

It's a scam.

I've filled in a form on comparesing site, still had to make three (really long) pho e calls and after all that I've received an email saying that my insurance will be cancelled due to one of the claims I've had in August 2020 (expired one according to the women I've spoken to over the phone). They decided to keep my deposit and charge me the cancellation fee regardless of the fact that insurance wasn't even live for an hour 😲. Luckily I didn't pay for whole year upfront.

Avoid at all costs (same as bike sure)!!!!!!

An absolute waste of time do not go near this company... my deposit of £64 taken the first month's £46 instalment taken... 4 separate notifications of we are canceling your policy due to questions already answered. 5 phone calls plus email corispondance later discussing previous conversations over use of vehicle.

My insurance cancelled by them despite the above... now being forced to pay £119 to cancel the policy. Effectively all for 1 months worth of insurance.

Absolutely disgusting please please avoid.

Got a really good price on the comparison website £200. I chose to pay for my insurance monthly. I started to get loads of emails through later saying I needed to provide more information or my policy will be cancelled. They called me and I had a quick conversation with them about this and they increased my premium significantly more and said I now have to pay a fee for amending my policy. When I first got the insurance out they didn’t even send me any documents until the next day…. I’ve now cancelled paying in total £68.09 for a policy from 26th June 24 to 4th July 24………

I went on to mcn compare for insurance for an electric motorbike as Carole Nash said they didn't have any insurers that covered them. I was quoted £149.61 for a policy,I did ask why it was so expensive and was told it was because
it was electric. I accepted this as I was getting the bike that morning and they said I could get a full refund within14 days. When I got an email from the insurer (Bikesure) the policy was invoiced at £99.61!. On my Bank statement I had been charged £149.61 from Adrian flux insurance brokers.

The worst bike insurance company I have dealt with.
All I received from them at least half a dozen times, " you may not be insured "
They request information because they do not read the info you previously provided.
They do not reply to your correspondence.
Avoid this company like the plague.

I regret ever taking a policy out with MCN, I have 3 months left on my policy, and bought a new bike which they will not insure me on. They advised to keep this policy running as a frozen policy so that I can get my years NCB.

I asked if my policy is frozen will i still get all the benfits of my policy such as riding other bikes. I asked this repeatedly and the advisor repeatedly said yes.

Advisor advised me that this change was effectively immediately and that I would not need to wait for my documents to arrive as my policy is still ongoing with just a change.

Have now been stopped by the police bike siezed and reported to be driving without insurance! When I checked my documents online it clearly states that now my policy is frozen it will NOT cover riding other bikes. Complaint will be lodged with MCN on monday i do hope "ALL calls are recorded". Then this will be taken forward with the financial onbudsman too.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Avoid this disaster of an insurance company. I should never have left BeMoto and paid the extra premium to renew with them. You dont know how good an insurance company is until you have to use them!

I wanted to like using MCN compare as I like other MCN stuff, but having gone through all the rigmarole and gone with the cheapest/best quote I found it didn't include pillion cover, neither did the next three. No good to me then, wasted my time. Fair enough, not everybody wants pillion cover but plenty do and there is no box to filter results, so used the meercat instead who do have a pillion box. Prices were near enough the same. How can a motorcycle specialist miss out on such a basic thing as pillion cover?

Did insurance online they took the money never sent any policy details rang 3 times to be told they doing some checks couldn't tell me what said I was insured but they couldn't give me the.policy number and it said not insured when I checked the MID database ...

So i wanted to change insurance company, i didnt want the umbrella agaes that has lots of insurance names to confuse you with. You will see why i stated the above soon.

So i chose a good, safe, trusted name came to mind! motorcycle news... So off i popped and found that motorcycle news bike insurance doesnt actually exist.

Instead you get put on mcn compare, i wonder if the "go compare" chap is doing a sideline here.

So did a search, as you do, did find it a bit strange that there was a lot of quotes with the same prices. Which i noticed were all of the same company!

Actually, i can now state that mcn compare, or whatever it is advertising it as, belongs to those very same insurance companies, belonging to the "ageas insurance limited", What a co-incidence.

So in a nutshell you have a very lucrative insurance company running itself on the back of a very influenceable biker paper.

Giving you comparisons of its OWN products. And it seems its allowed to get away with it.

Avoid the umbrella company like the plague, if they are willing to deceive yout by pretending to be something they are not, what do you think they are going to do with your renewals.

I should have read the reviews their cancellation policy is discusting in a 120 pound policy they charged me 70 pounds in fees. Absolute joke of a company and do not go near them stay away

They put a good price on comparison sites then call you and make you change details and make you pay for the privilege. £35 for someone to click on a drop-down box and change from one option to another? No thanks.

MCN passed my information to a third party (bikesure), who called me immediately after I submitted my details to MCN. I gave no consent for this.

Awful communication, poor systems, and con artists. Ripped me off to make an amendment to the policy within 48 hours of the policy. £55 on a £160 policy! The woman I spoke to on the phone was the rudest, loudmouth person I've ever had to deal with, constantly talking over me and raising her voice.

Won't touch this company with a barge pole ever again, customer lost for life. Good job.

I have 3 motorcycles I went onto the MCNCompare website to get a new multi-bike insurance quote however you cannot get a quote online. I had to call for a quote so I did this and after a 40 minute phone call giving all the details necessary I still wasn't given a quote the person I spoke to said someone would call me back. That was over a week ago I'm still waiting for the call back. A complete waste of time I wont bother with MCN Compare again.

I did an honest mistake on my application related to no bonus claim (MCN was after recent one from last 2 years and I had my previous bikes insured over 3 years ago). I paid around £350 for annual policy. After that they questioned my no bonus claim as being invalid (rightly so) and recalculated my policy. Now they demanded over £800... I obtained new quotations based on zero years of no claim bonus and I got quotes from various providers for around £200 e.g. from Carole Nash. So MCN £800 was way above what was available on the market. I decided to cancel my policy with them but then they demanded £65 cancellation fee plus £32 for my bike being insured with them for only 6 days... No flexibility or a good will - once you pay them you are trapped. Besides no claim bonus saga they questioned lots of other things including the date my driving licence was issued, bike model etc. I spent overall over 2 hours on the phone with them and received over 10 emails within 2 days with various demands to provide more and more details. Lots of hassle, dishonest quotations based on thin air. Again, I did honest mistake not reading small print on their application but it costed me £97 to leave them. I would not recommend this company.

After cancelling my policy with a third of it remaining I was not given a refund of any sort, remaining money absorbed in their charges form their underwriter, lining each others pockets as the underwriter is a partner company of theirs. Avoid at all costs!!

Recently purchased a brand new motorcycle with view to selling my old motorcycle.
After many requests MCN having now cancelled my old policy…are refusing to give me a refund for the 11 months remaining term. Which I had paid for upfront.
Whilst purchasing my new bike they mis sold me a multi bike policy which I did not need as I had said I was selling the other bike.
However I was advised at the time this was the best policy and that I could get a refund for my other insurance once I sold the original bike.

11 months of paid policy and they won’t refund a penny of it.
Basic theft in my opinion.
Horrendous wait times, cold transfers from centre staff. I would not go anywhere near this company for your motorcycle insurance.

Looking for a motorbike quote on MCN compare - they use the same engine as Go Compare and came up with exact same prices. I'm a new rider aged nearly 50 and their cheapest quote is £1,130 for a Honda NT100. Compare the market however using the same insurer - £552. Seems like MCN and Go Compare come off pretty poor here.

Took the phone number from MCN Compare and I ended up with Bikesure, following a long phonecall with a very nice gent I went forward with my motorcycle insurance. Once the paperwork arrived I realised that the £220 policy had am extra £100 added on top. I phoned to discuss this and asked to cancel (within 48hrs) to be told the cancellation charge would be £58 (£30 from them and £28 from the insurer). Doesn't give me much option moving forward. Disappointed and will never use them again :-(
