So I am writing this review as a cautionary warning to anyone who is thinking of buying from Meg Rivers Artisan Bakery. I paid the princely sum of £53 for the Showstopper Christmas Stag cake.... Ver más

Bought the simnel cake this Easter
Bought the simnel cake this Easter. I have to say that it was the best simnel cake that I have tasted since I stopped making my own ! My husband suggested that maybe the layers of cake could be a bit deeper, but other than that we really enjoyed it 👍

The fruit cake is delicious and moist, but impossible to serve properly. It falls apart. We wonder if it is quite cooked?

Hi, glad you've enjoyed your cake - did you cut using a serated knife and a sawing action, this is the best method. Feel free to get in touch via customercare@megrivers.co.uk if you'd like us to help further.
Excellent service and product
Simnel cake arrived on time and safely packaged in a free cake tin well wrapped up to avoid damage in transit. Caked exactly as described and tastes delicious!

Easter treats
We have purchased from Meg Rivers over many years. Recent purchase was an Easter gift. The recipients
(also accustomed to MR products) found the produce dryer than useful and not as flavoursome.

Great cakes, terrible delivery!
The cakes were lovely as always but the delivery service was terrible! This is my second experience of bad delivery and it will put me off ordering from you again. This time the driver attempted delivery at a house across the road from ours with a totally different name (clearly displayed). The instruction was to leave in the shed if nobody home. The house they delivered to had no shed (did they not think this was a clue that they had made a mistake). I had to wait extra days to get the cakes which was very annoying because I had ordered them to enjoy with my family who were visiting over Easter.
