I called in here for pies whilst at the Taste of Wickham food festival. I'd had them before and they are to be recommended. Unfortunately not so the female assistant who served me.

I found her manner defensive, rude and sarcastic from the start. I asked if the savoury pies were warm to be told they were in a cold cabinet. She warmed them for me.

I'd bought a Bakewell tart which had no taste of almond. I returned to the shop to mention this. She said there were flaked almonds on the top and her customers liked it like that. I pointed out almond essence/flavouring is a necessary ingredient otherwise it is just a sponge to which she replied "I am SO sorry to have disappointed you".

I was not rude to her so totally uncalled for. I've had nothing but good service from other members of staff .

Easy ordering, on time delivery and tasty bbq meats.

I heated the 11b pork pie in my oven and cut it in half for lunch, I thoroughly enjoyed it every bit of it, the pastry was crisp and exactly how it should be. The pork was tasty and delicious 😋. I've frozen the other one for my son to try.

Ordered two of the boxes for a big bbq having searched online and seen this butchers recommendations and it's delivery worked. Excellent quality. Excellent taste. Everyone was raving about the meat. Would definitely buy again.

The website is easy to navigate and I found everything I was looking for. Booking the delivery was straight forward and my order arrived on time, well packed and in excellent condition.

Fabulous meat everything we’ve tried is so tasty. So easy to buy online and pop to Wickham to pick up. All packaged to freeze easily. Friendly staff and lovely cakes 😁

From ordering to delivery really helpful over the phone and online so easy. Delivery on time, driver was lovely and well insulated too using all natural products. All the items come well packaged and everyone at our bbq raved about the meat too. Definitely make this our go to in future. Well done and thank you

First order from Meon Valley Butchers for Father’s Day dinner and they didn’t disappoint. Everyone commented on how amazing the leg of lamb was and the half rack of ribs on the BBQ were incredible. Ordered online for next day collection. Will definitely be ordering again.

My online web order for baby back ribs on a Tuesday was ready for collection on the following Saturday as requested and my special instructions were kindly accomodated. I received an order acknowledgment at the time of order, and I received an invoice on the morning of the collection day. I telephoned on the Thursday to get confirmation that my order was in hand. They couldn't explicitly say that it was, but said that all would be fine if I hadn't heard otherwise. I also telephoned on the collection day before travelling to collect - at this point they did expliclity confirm that my order was ready for collection. At the shop, the staff member was very helpful, knowledgable and personable. It is a great shop! My only suggestion would be to send an acknowledgment in person (email, text or telephone) that the order is in hand. Otherwise an excellent experience! I smoked the ribs for 4.5 hours on a Weber Smokey Mountain using Angus and Oink rubs and sauces. They were absolutely delicious and were enjoyed by 7 hungry people. Thank you! I have recommended you to friends.

Meat was all lovely, we also bought some scrumpy scones when collecting.
Would have given five stars but when ordering Apple Pay didn’t work and also no collection date was given (so a bit of Web management needed). Hopefully this will be sorted for our next order which I’m sure will be soon. Yum 😋
