Used Mercia for my Solar panels , their quote was reasonably priced (in a very competitive market) so I researched the reviews on here and checkatrade and that was the clincher.
Service was first class and friendly , follow up documentation was good .

Top notch firm. First class service. All managed professionally with outstanding communication. Scaffold materialised as if by magic. The guys appreciated my proper coffee which means they are proper people. Following day installation completed with minimum fuss. Matt and Kieran clearly experienced and precise in their workmanship. As a fogey, it may take me some time to sort out provider and monetising but I have every confidence that Brandon’s promise to get this final stage kicked in will go smoothly. Costing was slightly cheaper than other quotes but I would have happily paid a bit more had I known that Mercia were this good. I had spoken to an existing customer who was more than happy to tell me of his positive Mercia experience. This request had been refused outright by a competitor. Speaks volumes….

I received so much conflicting information and prices from differing companies concerning my enquiries into solar panel systems. One response was from Mercia Electrical. After an honest and enlightening conversation with Brandon, I better understood the systems offered and their ramifications. Brandon provided me with a competitive price based upon my agreed needs and requests, researching and providing specific equipment to enhance my system. From placing the order, all necessary paperwork and permissions required for the installation were handled by Mercia and a quick installation date was provided. Matt and Kieran arrived on time on the agreed date and worked professionally and diligently to install the whole system in one day and explain its operation and controls. There was a minor hiccup with the finalisation of the warranties paperwork which was quickly resolved following a couple of telephone calls. Overall, from start to finish, the company were very knowledgeable and professional, providing a quality service with competitive pricing, with the promise to look after me and review my system in the future to ensure it is operating efficiently and continuing to meet my requirements. I would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone thinking of or wishing to install a solar panel system, which is why I have given them a 5 star rating

I sent an enquiry for an additional battery for our solar panels to Mercia Electrical and received a call within the hour from Brandon who was very helpful and knowledgeable. A quote was promptly sent over detailing everything I need to know. The work was carried out professionally by Matt and he had some helpful info on how to get the best use from the system. I did experience an awful issue the day after installation but the team at Mercia Electrical worked on it immediately and it was resolved the same day. I cannot fault the customer service from start to finish & everyone I came into contact with were friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend this company.

Excellent service from Mercia. They were helpful when planning and placing the order, their pricing was competitive. The survey was professional and informative and the team that installed did a great job in finding the best route for wiring and completing a tidy job. Scaffolding was promptly removed. Would reccomend.

Probably the best company I have ever dealt with.
I contacted four companies when I decided to have solar panels. Of the four there was no response from one, one needed full payment (in three stages) before they would install the system (no go from my perspective), one sounded interested but didn't follow up and the fourth, Mercia, was brilliant.
I had had solar panels on a previous house so had some knowledge of the systems but I was aware that technology had moved on. Brandon was my contact at Mercia and we talked through what was best for my needs. He took time to explain everything in a way I could understand and sent several different systems for consideration. I decided on an installation which took some elements of each system and again nothing was too much trouble for Brandon, a costing for this coming within minutes.
Similarly all the paperwork was handled by Mercia in what I consider to be a timely manner after which the system was installed. The technicians doing the work were pleasant and courteous - arriving at 8.00am and finished by 1.00pm - and very tidy.
Since the installation I have had one or two queries which Brandon has answered without any delay whatsoever, so customer service is excellent - so many times companies can drag their heels once they have your money - not so here.

Thanks to Carly for organising ev installation at a somewhat challenging location. Nathan and Tom took the challenges in their stride and had the job completed neatly and efficiently. A complete contrast to the other contractors we approached.

We have been really pleased about the whole process, from initial conversations about solar panels, advice about what would suit us best and then a very short time from accepting the quote, until installation. The installation was carried out quickly and efficiently and all involved were very helpful, especially Nathan, explaining everything to us. We are very happy with our system and would definitely recommend.

We had our EV charge point installed for our business, we cannot fault the service received by Carly and the installations team. I was kept well informed of the progress all the way to completion. Had solar panels fitted, great communication throughout, very pleased with them.

Very knowledgable answering all my questions about technical queries which I was a bit clueless with. They were very accommodating when it came to my installation as I had specific requirements. Nice and efficient from the fitters and did a clean job with no mess. Cannot fault from start to finish from a friendly team in all departments. 100% recommend!

I've had solar panels fitted at my home in Burton and they have performed better than expected

Our solar has been fitted now for nearly 2 years . I was nervous about taking the leap initially but I’m so glad we did having seen how other peoples bills have gotten so badly out of hand . Luckily we haven’t really felt the pinch as our system takes care of the majority of our usage . I would recommend both solar , and Mercia to install who were brilliant start to finish

Mercia installed a solar PV system for me with batteries. It’s too soon to comment on performance but in terms of workmanship, it’s second to none . Every cable is carefully trunked and you can tell that the installers take pride in their work .
