A little history...Mill Timber Direct was established as a sawmill outlet store in 2016 in Croespenmaen near Crumlin in South Wales. In 2023, the store was re-modelled as a Mon Timber branch, to introduce new products and services offered by timber specialists Mon Timber (already well-established in Newport and Cardiff), to the local Crumlin and Valleys area. Our Crumlin branch is still located right next door to a sawmill, so we can supply timber directly from the mill.
Mill Timber Direct is now the online store for Mon Timber and with branches in Cardiff, Crumlin and Newport we can deliver across South Wales, the South West of England and nationally across the U.K.
Open to both trade and the public we supply a range of high quality timber and building materials:

Amazing service
My order sent really quickly. The driver they used also was amazing as I was at the back garden and didn't hear him, so he called me and was kind to help me put the wood where I needed to be.

Timber soaked in water and covered in black mould
Bought 2 floor joists which was supposed to be dried . The timber was supplied was bowed , soaked in water and covered in black mould . Had to buy more wood from another supplier

Hi Ion, we do apologise that the timbers you purchased were too wet to use. All of our treated timbers are kept in the yard and would be wet due to the relentless rain we have had recently. Please note Mon Timber Newport does stock a range of untreated C24 timbers which are kept inside for internal use only. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. No quibble replacement
One of the two items was delivered slightly damaged. No quibbles. Returned on the truck and a replacement/repaired item delivered a few days later.

Delivery experience brilliant
Peter, and Anthony can only both be described as exceptional. Both were very considerate, helpful. Nothing was too much trouble when they delivered my order. They carried a very heavy picnic table, and placed it exactly where it was wanted. This item was described as flat packed, however it was fully built. They both are a credit to Mill Timber Direct. Helpful, straightforward and friendly.
The ordering process was quite straight forward for someone who hasn't ordered timber before. Very helpfully, they called me before confirming my online order to go through what I would need and suggest changes.
The delivery was on time and both the driver and Steve at the depot we're really helpful and friendly.
