A little history...Mill Timber Direct was established as a sawmill outlet store in 2016 in Croespenmaen near Crumlin in South Wales. In 2023, the store was re-modelled as a Mon Timber branch, to introduce new products and services offered by timber specialists Mon Timber (already well-established in Newport and Cardiff), to the local Crumlin and Valleys area. Our Crumlin branch is still located right next door to a sawmill, so we can supply timber directly from the mill.
Mill Timber Direct is now the online store for Mon Timber and with branches in Cardiff, Crumlin and Newport we can deliver across South Wales, the South West of England and nationally across the U.K.

Time slots
The ordering process was great, it was nice to get an email about the delivery day but no time slot, which as it turned out was OK as the delivery came mid morning. I can imagine someone staying in all day and it arriving late afternoon. It would be good to have a time slot!

When I explained that I had injured my arm they sent an extra guy to help move the delivery to the back yard despite usually only doing kerbside deliveries.

I would have given 5 star but for the…
I would have given 5 star but for the online order that didn’t give me the option for free home delivery which I had to ring up next day to organise it which I think was possibly a website glitch. The order was delivered in good time and no banana wood 😉 all was true and straight. 5 star goes to the driver who was very helpful with off loading in to garden from drive and very friendly. As a retired builder I’ve experienced all sorts with varying levels of service but would definitely recommend this timber supplies.

Excellent experience of purchasing feather edge fence boards from start to finish. From ease of ordering correct boards due to online calculator to being kept up to date about the delivery and the driver leaving them where I requested. Nothing was too much trouble and would 100% recommend and use again
