I ordered a gift basket from Montreal Baskets specifically to have a gift delivered and presented to the recipient. I also paid extra to add cupcakes and a balloon.

Instead, the proof of delivery I received from Canpar shows a regular shipping box left unattended in the building’s mailroom. I also never received the delivery notification I had signed up for, so I had no idea it had supposedly been delivered.

What is disappointing is that this was supposed to be a gift basket. I did not pay for a gift basket, cupcakes and a balloon so that everything could be packaged in a shipping box and left unattended in a lobby/mailroom. By the time I found out where Canpar claimed to have left it, the cupcakes had also potentially been sitting there for more than six hours.

There were issues before delivery as well. Items in my order were substituted, and when I contacted customer service to ask exactly what had been substituted, I was told they would confirm with the warehouse and send me a list. I never received it.

I contacted Montreal Baskets about the delivery and provided them with Canpar’s proof-of-delivery photo. They refused to refund me because the courier marked the package as delivered.

For me, the entire point of ordering a gift basket was the gifting experience and presentation. Had I known my order could simply be packaged in a shipping box and left unattended in a common mailroom, I would never have ordered from this company.

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering ordering understand how their gift may actually be delivered before purchasing.

They had a great selection and it was easy. The order that I chose was exactly what was received. Will use them again.

Overall a good experience but because the content of the gift basket had to be different from what I had originally ordered (because it was perishable and the delivery would take a few days) I would have like to have a list of what items were included. I still don’t know exactly what was in the basket. But otherwise it was a very good experience, I appreciated the email communication and I would use your services again. Thank you.

We are based in the UK and needed to purchase a gift for a employee based in Montreal Canada. We easily found Montreal Baskets online and chose a personalised gift basket for our employee. The process was easy and the gift basket was beautiful and all products of high quality. Before delivery I was contacted to advise there was a perishable items (strawberries) chosen within our order, so Montreal baskets ensured a convenient delivery date was in place to ensure the products were delivered in excellent fresh quality. the customer service was outstanding, we would definitely use Montreal Baskets again in the future.

It was really good service and most products were great and matched the advertised offering, but I was very disappointed that you substituted a grocery store lower priced pasta sauce for the one you showed in your web product photo. That’s not what I wanted to give.

I'll be honest - this was not my first choice for an Easter gift for my daughter in college but the other options fell through last minute and I am so glad it did as Montreal Baskets not only provided me a quick and reliable solution but the basket was adorable and a huge hit with my daughter and her friends --- THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping this mom feel better about her first Easter without her daughter.

Quality items,great selection, prompt delivery

Very disappointing experience and STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDING Montreal Baskets. This was meant to be something special for my daughter’s first Easter away at university, yet the basket delivered was completely different from what was ordered.
I ordered a “Pink Easter Bunny Gift Basket” and received no bunny at all, just a grey bear, and several items I selected were replaced (including pretzels swapped for peanuts).

I understand small substitutions, but this was not a minor change. The main item and theme were not respected. If the bunny is unavailable, the product should not be sold under that name, or customers should be informed in advance.

Peanuts were also substituted without notice, which raises basic duty of care concerns when it comes to food items.

Customer service refused any refund, hiding behind their substitution policy with no acknowledgment of the issue.

For the price paid, this is not acceptable and feels misleading. Buyers should be aware that what you receive may not match what is advertised.

Buyer beware. They substituted 5 products in the baskets that were clearly inferior. For example, instead of lobster and salmon pâté they put in a generic salami. The recipient eats seafood but not meat which is why I chose this basket. When I complained they said too bad. Well that kind of response means I will never again use their service. Not recommended.

First of all, I was surprised that Montreal Baskets was not a Montreal company. That being said, I was extremely pleased with the reaction of the recipients of my gift. They were so impressed with the presentation and the contents of this “basket” that my thank you to them was all the more special. Thank you so much for having expressed exactly what I wanted. Should the occasion present itself, I will definitely use your services again!

I ordered a basket that they put on hold because of a problem with the address. It took me a little while to reach the person because someone had just died and I just made the 2pm cutoff. Initially they told me they could not deliver it the next day. When I told them I made the cutoff, they checked with the warehouse and after some back and forth they said they could do it.
The person did receive it the next day.

Could not confirm the actual dato for delivery. Then, when delivered, one of the product was damaged. But since it was still edible, they said they cannot refund. Might as well order somewhere else if the presentation and quality is not an important factor for them...

Great quality. Easy online transaction. Quick delivery! My uncle was very happy!

Excellent service: expedient and timely. My only reservation is with the price.
