Morrisons

I placed an order with Morrisons store to be delivered on Wednesday 19th May. Two hours before the allotted time I was told that my order had been cancelled. I am an 85 year old lady living on my own. I have visual, health and mobility problems so I do rely on this service to keep going.I have complained to Morrisons but have had no explanation except for someone on the telephone telling me I might not have enough money in my bank. I would hardly place an order without funds to cover the cost.

Delivery was late and was not informed as they state they will. Icecream had clearly melted and had been refrozen.
Customer services have been contacted over four times about this and do not respond.

Taken my custom to a reliable supermarket.

Useless, useless, useless

Morrisons Everyday, Queens Road, Royston

The staff in there are totally inept, incompetent, ineffectual and incapable of customer service.

Went today (19.5.26) to drop off Amazon parcel and was told by an extremely rude assistant to take my item out of the packet just so he could put it in another Amazon packet. No receipt, no thanks, no warmth - nothing but an attitude problem and acting as if he was doing the world a favour by serving a customer.

This branch is beyond help - all the negative reviews are ignored by the powers that be and never acted upon in order to improve service. The staff at Queens Road Royston Morrison's deserve zero stars and nothing else. Slapdash amateurs seems to be the name of the game in that store. Utterly hopeless managers / supervisors - if this is how customers are treated, then God help retail.

Order from Morrison, they sent me fruits that was expiring on the same day, avocados that was so soft it was not edible. This happens to me more than once. I am very disappointed. I could understand if it was a robot hand picking our foods, but it is a human who can see and feel, yet you pack these kind of food oit of date of spoilt foods to deliver to someone home. Its this kind of laziness why robots are taking over your jobs and I am sure in the future these robots will do a much better jobs than you. There are many reasons why people use online food delivery, not that we all sit at home being lazy.

Today has to be my worst ever Morrisons…

Today has to be my worst ever Morrisons delivery , a bottle of wine had smashed inside a bag of groceries which contaminated the rest of my shopping ,also the carpet is heavily stained with red wine , driver did not seem that concerned at all .

Online Delivery from Hell

A few weeks ago, I had the online delivery from hell.

It arrived 45 minutes late. It was 11:45 pm at night. The last thing I wanted to deal with with was defrosting frozen, meat and dairy were no longer chilled, items covered in leaking flour, fruit juice from squashed berries, broken eggs and strange pick fibres (no idea what these were). I got to bed around 2am. I put in a claim of around £90 for the contaminated and defrosting items, sent them photos and one month later they still haven't refunded me at all. Customer services keeps on trying to shut my refund request down.

The worst thing is that most of this was totally avoidable if Morrisons invested in proper intelligent packing and minimising the time spent in the van.

I would not recommend online shopping with this company at all.

Morrison cowgate rude customer service staff

Morrison cowgate , Newcastle. I am absolutely appalled by the arrogance of staff at Morrison on 14/05 , shopping done at 9:15. First of all they struggled to find the item code for Elephant Atta. Well this is not the major issue. Major issue is the voucher which is printed after shopping. Spend £30 and get £3 off. We scanned the voucher under voucher and then upon prompt scanned our more card. Noted £3 was not taken off. I queried this with one of the staff. They said they can’t do anything customer service may help. Customer service lady was so rude. She was mumbling under her breath after some persuasion from our side, advised she will keep the receipt and will ask a colleague to add points on my card. She then said like a boss I am only doing this only this time, why did you not ask the staff to help with the voucher. I then asked where it is written or wanted to know how customers supposed to know. Realising we got ourselves humiliated enough for £3 decided to leave. Absolutely incompetent staff who have no idea what customer service is and treat people less of them. I wish they show this behaviour to a mystery shopper.

Worst delivery service ever, rude driver.

This was the first and will be the last time I have ordered from Morrisons for home delivery. When I answered the door the driver was rude, had a go at me saying he’s been outside for 15 minutes ringing the bell. I have a ring doorbell and said I’m sorry but I’ve not been alerted that someone is at the door. He snapped at me saying sarcastically that I need to change the batteries. He then dropped the tray on my doorstep and said “come on then, hurry up.” Never known such a terrible delivery service and rude driver. He said he was about to drive off and take the delivery back. I wish he did to be honest!

Morrisons’ dirty bakery ‘risked customers’ lives’

A Morrisons supermarket was fined £737,000 for having a bakery so filthy it “risked the health and lives of customers”.

The supermarket was found to have committed serious food hygiene failures when inspectors visited two years ago.

Environmental health teams condemned the store’s bakery in Cwmbran, south Wales, and it was shut immediately for deep cleaning.

The bakery was found to have poor cleanliness, unclean equipment, inadequate staff supervision and failures in food safety management.

Morrisons pleaded guilty to four breaches of The Food Hygiene (Wales) Regulations 2006 at Newport magistrates’ court.

The company was fined £737,000, cut from £1.1m because of an early plea, and told to pay costs of £11,221.38 and a £2,000 surcharge by District Judge Sophie Toms.

The judge told the court the case was not about a few rogue employees, but instead that there had been serious and systemic failures.

Lee Reynolds, prosecuting, told the court that the standard of cleaning work surfaces and equipment in the store’s bakery was poor and fell “well below” the expected standards.

He said, in one area, the dirt and grime on the floor were found to be approximately a quarter of an inch thick, WalesOnline reported.

The officers found that trays, bowls, wrapping and weighing equipment, as well as doughnut-filling machines were all dirty, as were shelves, food preparation and packaging tables, floors, and the hand-wash basin.

Inspectors also found that dirty ovens and a number of door handles were encrusted with dirt, congealed flour and other food debris.

Speaking after the sentence, a Torfaen council spokesman said: “Officers identified 51 gaps in the store’s food safety management system, which management had been aware of for over a month.

“In handing down her sentence, District Judge Toms remarked that the case was not just about a couple of rogue employees – there were serious and systemic failures throughout all levels of the organisation.

“The whole team would have been able to see the state that the bakery was getting into.

Daniel Morelli, the council’s head of public protection and environment, said: “This case demonstrates the important work of our officers in carrying out independent checks to ensure the food we buy is safe to eat.

“Their work often goes unseen, but they play a vital role in preventing ill-health through identifying non-compliances and taking action to secure necessary improvements, safeguarding the public and reducing the cost of illness and burden on the NHS.

“Whilst every effort is made to work with businesses using an informal, educative approach, the council will not hesitate to take formal action where the health and wellbeing of consumers is placed at risk.”

A spokesman for Morrisons told The Telegraph: “We were very disappointed in the condition of the bakery in August 2024. It fell far short of the standard our customers expect and that we should provide.

“This was a single local issue, which was dealt with immediately by working closely with the council. The improvement made has been consistently maintained.”

Absolutely horrid

Absolutely horrid. I never shop at this store but unfortunately encountered a driver just around Romsey Three Tuns pub area. I provided this store with all the necessary info about this driver's dangerous driving but simply refuse to take action and ask for more info. This driver nearly caused a fatal crash, so I will definitely avoid this store in future because they refuse to take further actions.

Vist hollyhead morrisons today for…breakfast

Vist hollyhead morrisons today for breakfast. I was appalled at the service we received today. Had to wait along time to get served as who was on the till was also clearing dishes away and bringing good out. When are food did arrived it was cold. Not enjoyable at. all. You also run out of sasages. At 12.15pm. No cutlery or napkins we had to wait coffee machine had not been fulled up so again we had to wait. All in all a diabolical cafe I've been too. Will not be visiting here again

Pressed dog chews

Pressed dog chews.
Would have put no star in the review if I could , the chew stunk off detol or some kind of chemicals it made my eye's water it was that strong so had to take it off my dog , and apart from that a hour later he shit through the eye of a needle..........would 100% not recommend them to give to your dog and when you try to ask at the help desk about it .....it falls on deaf ears ,,, no wonder aldi and lidl are taking over. 💩

Yesterday I brought a pair of headphones called STREAMQ C1.
The sound quality is excellent and I can't hear anything but the music I'm playing, I paid £14 and well worth it. I would highly recommend buying 👌 ☺️

Ridiculous prices when using app!

The online prices have shot up and they charge a fortune for delivery. I normally use Morrisons and Ocado so I opened both apps and compared my usual shop. My weekly shop is for two people and it was over £20 more at Morrisons. Ocado compare their prices to Tesco and you get a voucher if there is a price difference. Ocado also do Marks and spencer and some of their value range is top quality. I won't be using Morrisons until they sort their prices out.
