Terrible organisation

Have a payment plan with this company that I make affordable payments to every single month yet they’ll still call and send letters threatening to take further legal action, if I’m paying what I can afford there shouldn’t be any reason to keep harassing me with more letters about ccj’s and legal action, absolute scum of a company.

awful company they are supposed to be a solicitors clearly they are confused to what a solicitor is and a debt collector is. i had a phone call this evening regarding a missed payment asking me for personal information that i refused to give which is my right and after several minutes the advisor went away and came back to say ok will set up the direct debit which is fine she then asked for a date i told her the 23rd to which she refused as they cannot take a payment this month as it the date is too close to present day. i told her sorry but not my problem the 23rd is the only date acceptable and they need to make the arraignment's. the advisor was very pushy and very aggressive trying to push me for information, in the end i got soo stressed with the girl and asked for her operator id and have written an email to her ceo office. i think a complaint to the financial ombudsman service, financial conduct authority and the Solicitors regulation authority is in order.

Mortimer Clarke Parasites

Mortimer Clarke are the parasitic 'lawyers' who use multiple tricks to win unenforceable cases. Check their bundle and paperwork very very closely - make sure they serve the same bundle on you as on the court, make sure they actually serve you a bundle - at the same time as they serve the court. Look for unreadable documents and false claims. Part of Cabot parasites who are mortgaged up to the eyeballs, but hey - YOU can't have a debt. Scum.

I’m off to the financial ombudsman with…

I’m off to the financial ombudsman with a complaint about the procedures this company follows. They pre date letters and by the time you receive them it’s too late for you to respond so they whack in a ccj! They kept telling me if you pay within one month of the ccj it won’t go on your credit file they will inform the registry and it will be removed. I was horrified today when trying to clarify the process when the lad said well it’s probably already on your credit file!! I said but this is within the one month! I then asked if I cleared this debt could how long will it take for them to advise the registry that the debt has been paid he said well we’ll start the closing down of your account this can take up to 14 days !! Then we will inform the registry!! I said well that’s just great this means that this will tip over the one month period! His response was we are not responsible for the registry!!! I then asked how will I get a receipt we will write to you, I said I want an email receipt oh yes I’ll send it after the call . Not received then I noticed they had entered the incorrect date of birth on the ccj he said well if you send us a letter of your correct date of birth we can change this! I said well not on your life! You made the error in the first place!! So just why do you get one month to pay this debt and the ccj will be withdrawn ! When actually it’s not guaranteed because you horrible lot take 14 days to close my account and send a payment receipt to me which I need if I contact the registry to remove the ccj . Oh there’s lots more too but I am fuming. Wait until I request the transcripts of the calls I will make sure the financial ombudsman wipe the floor with this company it is disgraceful 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 so in theory the one month grace period is a load of crap oh and thanks for sending me a payment receipt today not received I wanted that to send to the registry to have this ccj withdrawn

I'm only leaving one star because I cannot write a review with 0 stars these solicitors are completely scammers like the review before mine I paid these guys closing my account in February and found out that this company put a charge on both my freehold and leasehold they removed it from my freehold and two months later it seems after back and forth with them saying there is still the same charge on my leasehold they admit it was there and still today im still waiting for land-registry to remove it land-registry told me that it was the way it was submitted by Mortimer Clarke that is delaying my remortgage Mortimer Clarke has told me on a number of occasions that they did all that they could and I should seek legal advice this firm seems to be not able to own up to there mistakes causing unnecessary stress this firm is no good stay clear of this company BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE im in contact with a solicitor who will be following up on my behalf I will not be taken for a ride by this company I feel they maybe closing soon as there way of doing business is not correct in any way shape or form.

Extremely poor experience with Mortimer…

Extremely poor experience with Mortimer Clarke. I settled this account in October, yet months later it is still causing issues on my credit file, which is completely unacceptable. For a firm of solicitors, I expected accuracy and proper closure of the account, not ongoing problems that should have been resolved immediately after payment.

This has now directly impacted my mortgage application, causing unnecessary stress and delays. When people are trusting you to handle matters that affect their financial future, this level of inaccuracy and delay is simply not good enough.

It feels like once the payment was taken, the responsibility to ensure everything was correctly updated and finalised was ignored. I should not have to chase or deal with the consequences of something that was already settled months ago.

Very disappointing service overall.

SO HELPFUL

While experiencing a major family health issue I rang up to put my payments on hold as I am having time off work to support family member in hospital. I spoke to a lovely lady called Claire, who was very understanding and sympathetic and couldn't have been more helpful and made the whole process so simple and lifted just a bit of worry off my mind

Lovely experience

I had the privilege of speaking with Maya today regarding my credit card balance and repayment options. She was extremely helpful, patient and clear in explaining everything, and supported me in setting up a plan that feels realistic and manageable. Her calm and professional manner made what could have been a stressful conversation much easier. She is a real credit to your team and I hope her excellent service is recognised.

Party intruders

3rd party intruders. These companies think they can just hand your data around like a bowel of sweets. I didn't ask to do business with them and my letters to them are giving plenty of hints but still they ignore me.

This company works on the unlawful Maritime/Admiral law system. As I keep telling them, I am not a dead entity at sea with my name in Capital letters. I am a Sovereign woman on the land under Common Law. All of the Corporation, (the so called authority figures that run this world), are committing fraud, which is a criminal act. This is treason against We the People. We don't pay criminals or we would be committing fraud ourselves!!! Bailiffs are unlawful and illegal too. See Robert White v the Queen, case no 46XY1094519. Robert White won. Trespassing, harassment and attempting to break in are also unlawful and illegal.

If I could give 0 stars I would!
Rang up yesterday after burying my head in the sand for too long about my debts.
Baring in mind I'm a single mum with 3 young children so life is expensive and I'm only just breaking through.
I only owe £600 something so not a massive amount.
First amount they gave me £150 odd a month. I've said no instant I cannot afford that.
I say I wanna make weekly payments the guy goes you can do 23 a week......that's still £92 a month which I cannot afford!
They've now given me a week to work out my finances and get back to them.
This company are nothing but bullies!
They use scare tactics to make you pay what you can't afford
I offered £40 a month which I can afford but they're refusing to accept it. I cannot pay anymore so until they can accept that's all I can afford I will not pay
They can't take what I don't have!

This company purposely put barriers in…

This company purposely put barriers in the way for resolving issues. They have no interest of working with clients for the best outcome, which is them receiving all the money owed, but that isn’t enough for them! These people are scandalous and shouldn’t be allowed to trade! Don’t use this company, and take a look at the poor overall score on reviews. This company have also decided not to comply with a court order, so they think they are above the law! Funny how you want to talk to me now and not at anytime in three years! You do have a file with my name and you seem to not have responded to my request for information on putting a civil claim against you! Stop lying!

Very poor phone service

Very poor phone service. The person I spoke to didn’t listen and appeared to be reading from a script the entire time. I made a reasonable offer to pay off a debt, but they couldn’t respond appropriately or deal with it in any useful way. Extremely frustrating experience.

I was in debt (quite a large amount) I set up a payment plan with them and realised it was way too high for me, I was so worried about calling them and telling them I need to bring the payment down and Amber was absolutely incredible, understanding and sympathetic. She really took all the weight off my shoulders.

I don't understand the negative reviews, I have been dealing with a lovely lady called Amber. I explained my whole situation regarding my debt and she was very understanding and she listened. Amber put a hold on my account until I found employment. My debt is now on its way to be cleared thanks to all of her help.

Amber is a credit to the company and deserves a bonus.

These are awful to get any sense from.
Was paying thr debt I owed 50 a month then the direct debit stopped coming out. So I didn't realise this had happened sent me a letter to contact so I did. Spoke to 4 different people trying to do an income of what I can afford was telling the 50 a month was affordable nope got transfered to step change. So done that they agreed with 52. A month over 36 months. Called back then they was like no you can afford 4quid a month . What the he'll. Ok if that's what you want to accept then so be it. They told be they stopped enforcement but contacted the courts and apparently its still live. Ive always made a complaint with them calling at stupid o'clock of an evening but apparently im a liar was they don't call its automatic but they still call whether it is a robot or not. Ridiculous company
