For the sake of your sanity don't do it!!!!!! A long read but it could save you money & hardship.
Disgraceful company to deal with! Traded in a commercial jeep for a newer commercial jeep last March. They registered it incorrectly as a private vehicle. No problem mistakes are made we thought! We'll sort it out Motorland said, couldn't apologise enough & as a good will gesture we'll tax it too because of all the messing around!! Great we thought. Jeep was collected on the 28th of March, today its the 16th of October, Motorland have still not corrected the registration, tested it or taxed it as promised When the jeep was collected in March Alan told us everything had been done & paper work would follow for DOE/CVRT Test etc. It never did, the RSA confirmed it had never been tested. They said Motorland had started the process but never completed it. Also checked with the Revenue VRT department & surprise surprise it wasn't on their system either. I'd imagine MARK (company director) JOANNA ( company secretary) that when Revenue realise that your giving out incorrect invoices & not doing your VRT correctly you will at the very least be looking at an audit. On the 1st on June after being lied to repeatedly that all paperwork was finally sorted we went back to the showroom were we met Mark. His back was instantly up demanding to know what business we had going to the showroom. We asked for the CVRT paperwork & tax disc which he had claimed to have sorted he insisted it was with a driver being hand delivered ( it wasn't). We asked for any kind of paperwork to support this, he spent 10 mins flicking through folders & said he'd nothing but it was definitely on the way. Worth pointing out that when he was confronted he became unbelievably aggressive & very difficult to deal with. The following week I reached out to the finance company as we had bought the jeep through our business. They agreed that it was most unusual & unacceptable that Motorland wouldn't amend the issue. Motorland stated that they knew the paperwork was incorrect & they would send over a revenue status update straight away when the finance company reached out to them. Despite several emails & phone calls from the finance company to Motorland they never sent over anything to support their claim they were fixing the issue. The finance company have now said they could'nt figure out what Motorland were trying to achive & they would not deal with them again.
So to wind up the jeep is perfect after we serviced & tested it ourselves ( cos they didn't) only problem is its not a commercial jeep as Motorland advertised & sold it as so there will be ramifications regarding the VAT & running expenses through our business. To sum it up Mark the managing director & Alan the sales man ( who claims he knew nothing about any of this, he has nothing to do with any of it strange he was the one who sold it to us!! Go figure!) are complete liars who are completely incapable of an honest conversation. They screen all they're calls & messages the only way to get them to answer is to call from a new phone number. They do not answer messages ( they have ignored ours since the 1st of June nor do they return calls.
We have decided to take legal action, thankfully we have all the messages documented & all the communication with the finance company saved.
Save yourself the stress & go elsewhere, these guys aren't just shady car sales men they are pure criminals!!!
