​I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Motorpoint. I paid a deposit for a BMW 2 Series and travelled over 120 miles to view the car, only to find both headlights were compromised,one with severe condensation and the other clearly letting in water.

​Despite these being safety-critical components, I was told the car had passed all quality and safety checks. Even more concerning was the salesperson's claim that the issue would "get better with driving." My own research shows this is a known issue where the headlight housing develops cracks, and "driving it off" will not fix a physical seal breach.

​When I asked if their warranty would cover a replacement if the issue persisted, the staff were "unsure" and eventually admitted the car was priced lower because of the headlights. This is the definition of a lack of transparency. I truly wonder if they are going to continue to advertise this car as "quality checked" while knowingly hiding this fault from the next person. If a car is priced down for a specific defect, that fault must be advertised upfront so people don't waste time and money travelling to see it.

​I asked for a price reduction or a guarantee of a post-sale fix, both of which were refused. I have since requested my deposit back. Buyers beware: check these cars thoroughly, as they seem happy to pass off known defects as minor issues.

Raja was actively listening to my requirements for my car specifications. What was endearing was that although I was with a male he was clear that he was attentive to my needs as the purchaser.

He assisted me with ensuring when I was available to pick up my new vehicle and showed me the technology which I was unused to. He made a curtesy call to me concerning whether I had any issues with my car.

Van had more bumps than in the photos but offered money off so was good in the end. Been a good runner, fits in the family and the boys wheelchair and me work stuff.

Staff were knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to ensure that the process was smooth. The prices are very competitive and I am very happy with my car.

I found it by accident, but thanks to your amazing employees, Raj Ranga and Zeynep Zalman, who were incredibly helpful, I left with the car I'd been looking for for a long time. Zeynep was very helpful and patient. She answered all of our questions and made sure we were happy with everything before we left with the car.

Zeynep was very polite and helpful last Friday when I went with my brother and bought Mazda 2 nothing was to much even on the phone about a few questions. Well done Zeynep . AAlso called today but she was busy so Nik helped me sort out a few issues which hopefully have been solved . Never been to Motorpoint in Chingford but was great seeing my brother lives there . Seamless experience, no pressure at all. From the moment you arrive you felt at ease and they genuinely wanted you to buy.
Went to main dealers before Motorpoint and you felt like they were doing you a favour not the other way round. Highly recommend.

After 15 mins or so of looking at the cars outside, I was approached by a member of the team, who suggested I go inside and sit at his desk. He asked what I was looking for, which I answered, and we looked at what the company had to offer on their website.

I asked for his opinion on the three makes I was interested in, but was told "it's up to you", which of course it is. Due to price, he widened the search to all makes, and I again sought some advice on what he would personally choose or recommend and again, he wasn't interested in sharing any thoughts or offering any advice. I asked if he'd heard any general feedback on certain makes since he works with cars everyday, but he merely said he's not a mechanic and I'd have to speak to someone else.

I confirmed with him that his advice is just that I look on the website at home, and he said yes. So I left. No attempt at all to help, or try to sell me a car. I have the cash, and fairly desperately need a new car, so I will go elsewhere.

"I had a great experience with Motorpoint. The BMW X1 Hybrid I bought had issues within a week, but they took it back promptly and provided a courtesy car while we sorted things out. They gave us the choice to either exchange for another car or get a full refund - really appreciated that flexibility.

I have never bought a vehicle from Motorpoint before so I did my research. I read some good reviews but also made sure I covered the bad reviews.
From my experience on the day of buying I can give nothing but praise. When first met at reception all people greeted me. I was able to look the car over at my own pace, then took for a test drive. Everything was good and I was pleased with the car. I the met Zeynep ( a young sales executive) to go through the buying process including a trade in for my old car. Zeynep was very professional but also made things easy and straightforward. She was honest and caring. I would certainly consider using in the future should I buy another car
