Appalling deceitful site. Exactly same experience as everyone else. Paid £16.50 to update TV licence address. They didn't update my address and I've done it myself immediately and for free.
As a postscript, I read through their terms and conditions, and on the strength of that requested a refund, which was payable if it was within 7 days and they had not actioned anything. As this was the case I got an email reply confirming that a refund would be made, which has happened.

I'm usually very careful but tripped up with this one. Having moved house I was going through the tedious process of informing everyone.
Ended up paying £16.50 for a free service. Their site was the first one up when searching for UK TV Licensing - change of address.
Went on chat with MoveMy and was assured I would get a full refund. Also asked that private data that I had submitted would be deleted. I was told that they complied with the 'general data protection act'. I pointed out that the relevant Act is the Data Protection Act 2018 which incorporates the EU General Data Protection Regulations. Didn't get a response after that!
Update: Got my money back - Woo!Hoo!

Not a happy bunny I thought I was informing the t.v license about my move, I’m stressed and didn’t check so paid the £16.50 without thinking, I feel conned it’s free to change your address and all the other utilise I did myself without a charge. I actually thought I was on the t.v license site.

I thought this was a TV License site. I gave all my details. A few days later I checked if my tv license info has been updated. Of course not!!!! I tried to chat online with them. No response! I emailed them and asked for a refund! I do not believe I will claim the money back. Be careful!

Thought this was the TV licence site. Paid £16.50 to transfer my licence. Then, they emailed to say that there was a problem and to get in touch. I filled in the online form and no one ever got back to me. I tried to use the online chat but they respond to your message around 10 mins after sending it. So far, the are four messages in the thread and it has taken 45 mins. About to loose my S£!t

I was moving home so thought I logged in to tv licence webpage I though this was the only way to update my details so I allowed payment of £16.50 only to find out it was a company called MOVEMY, i done a chat with them and they reversed the payment straight away, but they have all my personal details now. BE AWARE

Found out this website is a scam and didn't check on trustpilot before going ahead, This company charge you to change address which is actually a free service via TV licensing agency. I feel conned.

I clicked on this site as it was the first google site as i was in a rush. Didnt realise and now ive learnt there a fake and a scam! Took money and personal details now dont know what to do! Help!

This is a dreadful service, do not use. TV license adress not updated despite being charged £16.50. Contacted TV licensing directly who are aware of these guys but unable to do anything.

Absolutely shocking, charging for a service and farming personal details.

I was caught out. They took my money for something that can be done for free (TV licence address change). They promised a 24 service but did nothing, They ignored my refund request. They also got some personal data. They should be banned.

i used them on the 19/8/2021,on there site they claim.5 to 7 days to change address details for you.on the 17/9/2021,almost a month .i recieved.a letter from the tv licence,informing me that i was unlicenced..and they were taking further action.so i contacted movemy,on there chatline.asking for a refund,and i wont be going away,

Very misleading, appears at the top of Google when you search for tv licence address change. Immediately realised after the payment had gone through that I needn't have paid and asked for my money back. Waited the 5-7 working days that the company advised and when no refund was forthcoming, chased and quoted their terms and conditions back to them which state if no service has been rendered yet, then a customer is entitled to their money back. After querying this again the company awarded me my refund instantly which just shows that their 5-7 working day processing claim is just them hoping that people will forget about it. In all fairness the refund was given immediately after I chased it, so I am giving them 2 stars instead of one.

This company charged me £16.50 for doing nothing, I thought I was transferring my council tax.
What a scam.

I just fell for this scam and I thought I was smarter than that. I have emailed them requesting a refund and contacted my bank to ask they stop the payment.
Let's see how I get on.

As others have said, this is a scam. Frustratingly, the site comes up first on Google, and appears to be a legitimate site. Here is what TV Licencing say about Movemy on their website:

"There are a number of unofficial websites charging for buying or managing your TV Licence. These websites may provide you with a premium rate phone number, offer other products, or charge you an additional fee for a service that we provide for free.

Please be aware that some of these websites may be misleading or fraudulent and may not carry out the service they promised (e.g. purchasing a licence for you or changing your licence details).

We do not endorse any sites offering TV Licensing services - such as 'MOVEMY' (movemy.co.uk) - and there is no link between any of these sites and the official TV Licensing website. In online searches, the TV Licensing website will always be marked as the official TV Licensing website or marked ‘TM’ to indicate the TV Licensing trademark."

Stay away from this one.

Just what I needed saved me a lot of time as it usually takes me two or three weeks to update everyone after moving

got stuck on one section but only took a few minutes to resolve the issue by chat thank you will use again in future but I hopefully won’t need to move for a good couple of years now
