Scumbags, literally get you to sign up as part of a confusing tick box when trying to find a loan, praying on the financially vulnerable

they are scammers, tried to take money from you account after getting your card details

This isn't a review of Getfrugal.

This is a review of Trustpilot.

Obviously Getfrugal is a scam and takes money for no reason, when you haven't even signed up. And it's one of these evil CPA payments you can't unsubscribe from.

What is crazy is there are 16% 5star reviews here from automated bots and colleagues writing absolute nonsense to try and get some sort of positive reviews.

Getfrugal = Not even a company.

Getfrugal telling me they can secure a loan but must give a payment of 0.15p then trying to take payment they were not given authority to do in contact with bank, but please be careful as this is becoming a scam that a lot of companies seem to be getting away with, they take a payment of 0.15p just to make sure you have money then nearly £30 on next transaction. Fraudulent all the way please be careful.

made me pay 15p because it said i’d been approved for a credit card only to say i’d been rejected after they took the 15p. scam

I was checking loan options online and this company are not a legitimate entity and they fraudulently and intentionally took an unauthorised payment of £29 from my account . Other reviews reported the same issue!!🤬🤬

Scammers, tried to take an additional £29.84. Lucky I used an empty bank account!
Tryed to cancel online and got no confirmation, called them directly and they were polite and confirmed it has been cancelled. I will update this if they try and change me again! I live near their offices so I’m happy to pay them a face to face visit if necessary!

Wish I could leave zero stars. So I was applying or trying to apply for loans. Only small loans and this company said I could get a loan and they'd take my bank details for the payment to go in and just to verify the account they'd take 15p which they did do, i was refused the loan but today I've had a payment of £24.95 go out my bank and I check back two more months and I've had the same amount go out for the last three months of £24.95×3 so basically 75quid. Absolutely disgusting. Reported to my bank. Do not use this company they are preying on desperate people making them think they are getting a loan, loan is then refused but charge you £24.95 for God knows how long for refusing said loan i didn't get. Robbing bastards

I am writing to formally request a refund for an unauthorized transaction on my account.

On 22 June 2026, a pre-authorization charge of £0.15 was placed on my card in connection with a loan inquiry. However, today (24 June 2026), a further charge of £29.84 was debited from my account for a subscription or service that I did not sign up for or consent to.

As this is within the statutory 14-day cooling-off period, I am exercising my right to cancel any alleged agreement or membership immediately. Please arrange for the full amount of £29.84 to be credited back to my account as soon as possible.

Please confirm in writing once this cancellation and refund have been processed.

Taken money from my account I dont know what this company is! I haven't sigh up for anything

SCAM BEWARE! Took 15p then attempted to take an unauthorised £20.84 a few days later! Luckily for me my bank suspected fraud and contacted me and it was declined. Speaking with the fraud department now to protect my account going forward.

Very disappointed has the try to take money out my account 29 pounds at first it was 15p thought nothing of it and now the try to takeing 29 pound out and I am very disappointed why would I pay them 29 pounds when have not given my anything or any service to help me out please people don’t use this website it a scam and the take you money and nothing gone come back

Verify twice. 2x 15p. 2 days later 2 attempts at £29.84 removed from my account. Luckily I had £20 in the account so nothing taken. Bank csrd cancelled. Don’t ever use this company. It’s a total con! I now have to find out who MONTAS.co.uk are as they have done the same.

Absoute scammers I will be reporting them. I had 15 pence taken from my account to check for a loan and today they have taken £29 from my account for a subscription that I know nothing about nor did I sign up for. Please avoid this company. I will be reporting them to my bank and taking further action.

DONT BOTHER! Offered a loan of 379 over 12 months at 29.98 a month. No way that’s literally zero interest. They are really signing you up for a “credit check”. Disgusting that they are targeting broke desperate people with few options. Glad I came here to check first!
