Σε προηγούμενη ανάρτηση, ξέχασα να ενημερώσω τον κόσμο, π ς στην Κατερίνη και στη Θεσσαλονίκη, με αφορμή το περιστατικό της υπεξαίρεσεις πιστωτικής κάρτας ξένης τράπεζας από ΑΤΜ της ΕΤΕ εγκατεστημενης σε γνωστό Σούπερ Μάρκετ της Κατερίνης, και μετά από πεισματικη άρνηση της τράπεζας να την επιστρέψει στον ιδιοκτήτη της πάρα την παρέμβαση της αστυνομίας, άρχισε να οργανώνεται η δημιουργία ομάδας εξαπατημενων πελατών της Εθνικής Τράπεζας της Ελλάδας ή οποία προγραμματιζει στο άμεσο μέλλον παρεμβάσεις με σειρά διαμαρτυριών έξω από τα υποκαταστηματα, αλλά και παρεμβάσεις σε νομικό επίπεδο στα αρμόδια όργανα της Ε.Ε. Ενημερώσεις θα λαμβάνετε όλοι προς το παρόν μέσο διαδικτύου από διάφορα sites με το τίτλο " εθνικη τραπεζα reviews " και σύντομα από συγκεκριμένη ιστοσελίδα που θα ανακοι

Terrible customer service

Called the NBG for help with a standing order with DEA. They did not help at all. In fact the “customer service representative” was most anxious to get off the line.
I was told that because there had been insufficient funds in the account when DEH attempted to take out money, the standing order was now null and void.
Went to my branch (an hour’s drive away each way) and they said that “no the standing order was not null and void.”
Frustrating experience, and not the first time.

Worst bank ever!

Worst bank I've ever had business with. Most of employees can't speak English even though most of the people in Greece do speak. They are ignorant and seems like no one knows what they do. Customer support tells one thing and when you come to bank they say different - irrational things. Every time I come to this bank, I have problems because they can't solve it on one visit. Can't do the simple tasks that any European bank would easily accomplish in a minute. For example, I got my card blocked because I tried to make a transaction which system suspected a fraud. I tried to unblock it but it was no such option in digital banking. Who in the first place decides to block my card without my request / permission?! After contacting many times customer support, they could not help and provided just some phone number. Tried to call this (ancient land line) number but it's always busy line even after half an hour waiting. Finally I came to physical bank and they told me the same - to call that darn number to unblock my card. I tried to explain that I called 100 times and it was no answer. The bank employees seemed that they don't want to bother because they didn't know what to to. Finally I was so frustrated so I went to other branch and started to shout immediately claiming that I wont go until it is solved here and now. All employees immediately gathered, consulted each other and asked to wait until they make a call. After 20 mins waiting they reached the same number that they gave me and asked me to talk to them. My card was finally unblocked after 3 week struggle.
It's like a 100 years ago system. The only way to solve issues with this bank is to make drama and shout on them!!!

The customer service is not good at all…

The customer service is not good at all as there are few things they can do to help. After waiting 3 times for 20 minutes each time the lines were 'cut off' and the 4th time someone finally bothered to listen to my issue, but he couldn't give a solution. The bank charged me 21 euros to reissue and send me a debit card. I never received the card and they can't track the card. The possible solutions they gave me are time consuming and complicated.

30 years customer

30 years customer. My father was for another 30 and is still. Apart from ripping us off with ridiculous rates on the credit card and on a mortgage for a lousy apartment this bank has done zero for us. I am upper, middle class there were times when I had a respectable 6 digit debit with them. None offered us a good investment product, none respected us when we visited their branch, just arrogance, incompetence and indifference. It is a shame and I wish they go out of business. Greek debt is rising and I am not the one rising it. I am free of debt and also paid for your recapitalization with my taxes , although you are an anonymous company. I demand a good blowjob when I visit your branch.

Not a Bank but a pain in the a*se!

Calling Ethniki's Bank helpline (2104848484): I had to wait for an hour and a half to finally reach out to someone who could guide me with an online payment issue with my card. A few people picked up the phone and then forwarded it to someone else. During this time the line dropped twice on their end (I was calling using my home landline, so it wasn't me). Eventually, at roughly 5:00 pm I managed to get through to identity verification. At that point, the agent put me on hold and - probably - left the office for the evening as they never came back to me!!! It's literally impossible for anyone to get help from Ethniki's agents over the phone. It's an absolute shame for a Bank that claims to be the biggest in Greece. Their quality of service is simply unacceptable and disastrous!!!

It is a real disaster

It is a real disaster. I got a new debit card but, to get the PIN number you have to have a telefon call in which you have to respond 7 or 8 question (phone number, account number, afimi number, etc. ). All these answers must match exactly with the one you have told in the bank (may be 10 years before). You have to give your adress but one must know that there is no street adress and no number. One the letter of the bank they have written my name WITH my father name - wich does not belong to my official name at all and nowhere. If one of the answer does not match, the system does not tell you what and where is the problem. You have to start from the beginning. If you ignore what administrative nightmare is, try it. We tried 4 times in two differents sessions. In vain. Then I tried to register in the i-banking system: ten times I got the message "Un unexpected error occured" but never you will know what and where the error is and what you can do to correct it. Then I decided to send them a message via the mail adress written in the leaflet contact.centeratnbg.gr. Useless. That adress is closed. Nightmare.

2023 and i am required to visit a branch to change the phone number if i cant access my ebanking account . typical backwards greek dinosaurs. No wonder they cant get rid of their debt.

I applied for the express loan at…

I applied for the express loan at Panormou branch one week ago, on Friday.
"By Monday you will get the answer, we can arrange an appointment on Tuesday". I chose Wednesday for sure.
Nobody called me on Monday, so I did to be informed that the specific employee was attending a seminar.
She called on Tuesday to tell me that there is no answer yet and she said that she had told me that I might have an answer on Friday and she hadn't mentioned Monday (LIE: the appointment ended 10 minutes before the bank closing, we couldn't have any answer).
I made several calls, the phone center tells me that only Panormou branch can see where my apply is, while at Panormou branch they tell me that I have to call the phone center.
Here I am, one week later, waiting for the expr.. *cough*turtle*cough* loan which is available within 2 days. A small amount of money that my parents could have lent me without any profit, but I didn't want them to worry about me.

Nice Bank

Nice Bank. What I would like from nbg is to start accepting eiDAS digital signature with USB Token from their customers instead of having them sign on a Tablet with Stylus. With the Tablet and Stylus, you have no idea what you are signing. Simply, you are signing blindly.

Worst bank ever with ancient systems.

My card was blocked and no explanation provided. Just a phone number which never answers waiting too long.
Visited bank physically but they could not help. I was there in the bank and they could not unblock my card saying that it's only possible by calling the same number. I tried to explain that I was calling this number and no one is answering then bank employee sent an email with my phone number asking them to call me. Of course they didn't called me.
Then I contacted via different channels and they all doesn't know and doesn't want to help. One old lady advised to call me this number in the middle of the night because in day time they might be too busy.
I was shocked how old fashioned this bank is. Things like that are solved online in all normal banks in Europe. In many banks nowadays one doesn't even need to visit bank to open account. However, for NBG to open account one needs a lot of paperwork and to sign a surprisingly big heap of papers.
It seems that no one knows anything in this bank. Tried to ask what are the rates of virtual card for a bank employee when visited it and she could not answer me exactly.
In physical bank employees mostly are rude and have no idea what they are doing. Visited 4 different banks through 2 years and it seems that most employees there work the first day.
This bank is a shame of Greece!

Disaster

More than 10 years using the services of this bank. One word describes it, SAD.

Telephone support: waiting times 30+, up to 1:30 hrs depending on which department you want to contact.

Security: Had several transactions with the same amount of money and recipient repeatedly blocked, each time trying to contact the responsible department for several days before getting the transaction approved. While being asked if they can somehow whitelist the given transactions, the answer was that the process is automated and no solution can be given.

Credit / Debit cards: Among 5 different providers, the only bank whose cards are malfunctioning in my possession.

Costumer care: In order to change my billing address, I had to do the procedure two times because of some "unknown" reason the didn't had the documents that a physically delivered to them.

Over the span of 10 years, 0 of my issues were solved in satisfactory way.

The only thing they are fast and persistent with, is trying to get your money if you owe them.

Horrible customer service

I travel a lot for work, so I use Revolut abroad. NBG blocks the transaction every time making me wait for hours on hold with the Security department to unblock it. Not to mention they just ignore emails. And when you’re abroad, you get charged a lot to just wait on the line and be ignored. I tried sending in a request to mark the specific transaction as safe, but my email won’t go through as it “conflicts with one or more of the recipient’s organization policies”. When I tried asking what that means and how to fix it they told me to just try again and hang up on me!

My card is blocked for no reason, the customer service send me that answer instead of to call me :

Please call 2107727440 (card security department) immediately so that, after your details have been identified, the data can be checked and we can serve you.
Please do not reply to this email. If you wish to communicate with us regarding the said matter, please fill out once again NBG’s online “Contact Form”.

Third call to try and for the third one i'm to 23 minutes but i'll wait...
The previous one was 20 minutes and the first 10 minutes.
Very poor service...
