DO NOT WORK WITYH THIS COMPANY
I'm not sure how this business got ranked first in the queue when searching for DMV transfers, but its a complete scam. On the DMV site you can upload your documents and pay your fees. This site says its an online service, but then they want you to mail your signed title! and of course they charge extra for their "service"

Easy peazy title transfer!
I purchased a motorcycle and needed to change the registration to my name and my AAA store was not open (my usual go-to for title tranfers). I found this option in a quick interwebs search; wow! I can complete the process online with a mail-in of the actual document. I could not be happier with the service and convenience. Esperanza was the employee on my tasks, full marks!!! They will definitely have my business for any future title transfers.

Extremely rude customer service
Extremely rude customer service. Used their service twice and both times renewal tags were not sent in mail. I did make a mistake and didn’t request new tags to be emailed. Requested a $45 replacement fee for tags to be mailed again when they were not mailed in the first place. Customer service was not willing to waive the mailing fee. Asked to speak to the supervisor whom was extremely rude. Supervisor still denied to waive the fee and hung up on me. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Too expensive, Too Slow
Too expensive, should have gone to AAA. It also takes too long to deal with the mail both ways. From what I’ve read on BBB, these people threaten a lean on your car if you try to get a refund and stop payment on your card.

i received my notice to renew my tags
i received my notice to renew my tags, went on to the website thats on the renewal, went to the process, so it came time to pay took me to a site where I paid, all normal till now, then I get a notice that ,no it was more money needed(late fees) all this time I thought I was dealing with DMV. So I decided to go to DMV, stand in line couple hours, to find out , NO MONEY HAD BEEN PAID!! and I was informed it WASN"T the official site!!its a FREAKIN SCAM!! Im now filing a complaint with with the BBB, and trying to recuperate my money... Now Im late and still going to pay a late fee!!.... P.S You will probably see a reply after I post the review, they do this so Google doesn't flag them , not that they're going to do anything about it....

Total scam
I also thought I was ordering from the DMV and got charged an extra fee…which I would have been ok with if I actually received my tags. I never received my tags, after requesting multiple times. I was told to wait the 21 days between each request. When I asked if we could do a tracking number as obviously something was going wrong (I verified my mailing address multiple times) and was told I should ask the postal service why it wasn’t getting to me. I had no proof it was ever sent or any way to track, exactly how was the postal service supposed to help me? The customer service was terrible and I was completely scammed, so now I am out the money and will have to pay the DMV a second time and waste my time by going to the DMV. TOTAL SCAM!! Don’t use this service.

Beware of Need Tags .As I had been unable to renew via phone I followed instructions from DMV on my renewal notice. and somewhere along the way ended with 75 dollars extra charge to my CC. Its is an outrage and deliberately makes you feel you are dealing with the DMV..
( THE LATE FEE WOULD HAVE BEEN 31 DOLLARS HAD i mailed it ..why would I choose to pay 75 $ DMV told me they received the registration amount due for renewal. DMV should not be so closely connected to this scam ..I got their information on my offical.DMV registration renewal form . When I called I was hung up on and that was after waiting 10 plus minutes. Total scam site designed to impersonate the CA DMV and charges you $$$ extra for what you could easily do on the DMV website without the upsell fees. Felt duped and tricked and then after Googling it, found out there are many complaints about this site. Even their so called "shopper approved" reviews are designed to remove 1- and 2- reviews and show an inflated review score of 4.8. Brilliant scam someone is making money off of!

I never got any tags for my dirt bike. Need tags. Yeah. Still do. Thank you for my registration paper and title. But if your site is called need tags. I think I should receive tags. They DMV lookalike site that ripping people off.
They adding hidden fees no customer service and haven't been able to get my tags. Want to get a refund can't get it. Filed a claim through my bank they can't get it as well end up filing FTC FDIC claims against to my bank...

DMV lookalike website - be VERY careful
This is a business with a very deceptive DMV lookalike webpage. I'll be generous and say that maybe they accidentally designed it this way and it's not intended to fool you into thinking you are on the DMV website. They charge a hefty service fee with add ons which you do not need to pay if you are doing a simple online renewal. I only noticed at the last minute when I compared my renewal fee of $273 (DMV) with the $346.67 that Needtags were proposing to charge me.
I am sure many people have unsuspectingly been ripped off by this business. How have they not been litigated against by the DMV under copycat laws?

Dont trust this company
Dont trust this company. It states in their website it's an online transfer of car ownership but after over charging you. They sent you an email to send them all documents and use USPS. I thought it was online. I tried to cancel the transaction but I can't get hold of any representative. You will get an automated response though that any transaction with them cannot be canceled. By the way they charge $148 for that service I didn't used and I went to DMV and only paid $15. Hard lesson learned.
