Worst cooker I have ever had

Worst cooker I have ever had, engineer came out one year after I brought it (2019), to replace the grill element, This year 2021, it keeps's tripping the electric. Never buy one again.
After reading all the bad comments on here, maybe it time for all NEWWORLD CUSTOMERS GET
TOGETHER AND START LEGAL ACTION, ESPECIALLY AFTER READING THE ON ABOUT THE GIRL WHO BURT HER HAND. NEWWORLD should get their ACT TOGETHER before someone DECIDES TO DO JUST WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN.

newworld oven purely…

I purchased a newworld oven purely because it was a really nice looking oven. This was a big mistake. The oven is nothing less than completely dangerous. The shelves drop out when the oven is hot spilling scalding food everywhere and the door leaks heat on one side when it’s closed scorching your leg if you stand to close and now it does not work at all. This purchase is completely dangerous and unfit.

RUBBISH

NWLCSL10FS slimline dishwasher. Stopped working within a year. Extremely rude customer services and clearly unwilling to help. Looking at the previous reviews it's obvious that all their products are absolute rubbish... DO NOT BUY!!!

Rubbish!!!!! Timer stopped working after a year

Timer stopped working after a year, then Knobs on cooker broke after approx 50 uses. I had to glue oven knob back on. Worked fine for a few days but now oven will not turn off the knob just goes round and round. Luckily it's an electronic oven. I can't wait to get this to the tip. Please do not buy. Save ur money and the environment.

One star is even too much.

We bought an oven dual fuel. Ordered November delivered December week before Christmas.
The oven not working probably from onset.

Nothing wrong with the gas side on the hob. Nothing gas based.

As my husband who is in trade did they said had to be independent electrician.
Said our wiring.
Serious issues with the electrical side. Electrician been out several times as company said it was needed. Now you turn on it goes bang!!!

Now want me to get another Gas engineer to view Gas parts Gas Safe as it was plumbed into previous oven gas works and we don't know the number and can't get hold of (covid victim?)... Though nothing wrong with the Gas side of the appliance.

Total fob off from onset of we are now in August and have not been able to use the ovens properly.

I had saved up for this oven, our first brand new oven ever! So gutted.

Customer service has been the rudest I have ever had dealings with. I even had to say to the person not to rude or shout at me. So so bad.... and quite upsetting that 3 calls has just caused us to pay out more money on what is not our issue but new worlds faulty oven.

Now we are going to contact trading standards as this can not be right.

Update: Not new world complete Rubbish in doing ANYTHING .... But Argos is going to take back due to our electrician condemning it at an unsafe product. They are collecting it and going to refund our money. A little hiccup in collection but hopefully we will get sorted now as Argos were very concerned about it. Obviously we are out of pocket for Electrician as New World should of sent their people to look at it, send it back/ replace.

New World NWLS50SGW. Please Avoid

New World NWLS50SGW gas 50cm free standing cooker.
Avoid at all costs.
Oven doesn't work.
Customer Services are of no help, they don't know what they are doing.
New World engineer useless, that was sent out to sort the problem. Only by bending the probe in the oven thinking he had solved the problem.
We now have 2 outstanding bills to pay for gas cooker instillation. As we've had to invest in a 2nd cooker. My parents are in poor health. Now in their 80s.
Gas fitter will have to come back again to disconnect the appliance.

Not impressed so far

Not impressed so far. On hold 3 times for more than 15 mins each time.

I have given all the details I was asked for, but they cant find the product purchased.

The washing machine is only 5 months old. It is for my sister who has a serious illness. They still wont hurry the repair. Has had no washing machine now for at least a week. Its disgraceful.

before we start i would give new world minus 11, what can you say about this company and employers,just 4 words SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN, they dont comply with the consumer act, they the answer agents sit like dummies and give you wrong information, dont stick to meanings on sending there email out or they dont ring,they the agents take your call only ha ha, a bunch of stiffs, when you ask them about consumer laws and acts, they go silent, i got a washingmachine from argos , after 3 months it leaked and a full wash didnt finish it was always on 11 mins to the end, take note they send a firm out called MINERVA to inspect your faulty item, these engineers are clowns, dont speak english, they dont do there job that they suppose to, they reported no fault, the clown from minerva didnt even look at the fault and timer of your wash , he said it is nothing, complete clowns, they even billed me, i am taking them to court for false and fraud trying to obtain money, plerase dont allow these clowns in your house from minerva or new world also they both put the phone down on yous, because they cant stand truth, disgusting firms. argos have been noted. argos want or should have nothing to with these cowboy clowns. they need investigating they will.please do not buy new world , the baggage engineers they dont know what they are doing, keep off new world there dont know what warrents are

I bought a New World cooker from Argos…

I bought a New World cooker from Argos and installed on March 1st 2021. The oven and grill did not work. I eventually got in touch with New World and was told that I would be contacted by an engineer within 24 hours to arrange an appointment, but no contact, I then contacted them a further twice. same reply but no contact. This went on for over a month without contact. When Argos opened after the lockdown I arranged to have the cooker sent back. I will never buy anything from New World and would advise anybody to do the same to avoid a lot of stress. DISCUSTED with the lack of customer service from what was an established English company, never ever again. Peter Murphy Cambridge

Wouldn’t recommend

Had our new world cooker 3 years,it stopped working during the first year and had to have the element replaced.Second year the element went again ,it has now gone again so waiting on a repair.Would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.The products should be replaced if faulty,if we hadn’t paid for extra cover we would of had to replace the cooker after the first year.

New world washing machine way to loud…

We brought a new world washing machine from Argos. Had it a few months started making an extremely loud noise on spin. Reported the fault and had an engineer come out who said it was a normal level of noise. This noise is so loud that you can not speak over it and can here it out in the street. So sent videos in to their service team and waiting over 6 weeks and lots of emails to them they sent me an email to say that the noise level is normal. I have asked them to come and take the machine away as I can’t use it with the noise. I will lose the money I paid for it. But it is so bad and such poor customer service. I would warn anybody off buying a new world product.

Purchased a new world electric cooker…

Purchased a new world electric cooker from Argos had it professionally installed and since day 1, 2 of the hob warning lights have stayed on spoke to New World who sent and engineer out to have a look got told that there is an electrical fault with the cooker and not to use it as it is unsafe, spoke to customer services about the issue they are trying to claim that the engineer has stated that it as electrical fault in the home so they are stating that there engineer lied to us, said there is nothing they can do and we would have to deal with it ourselves disgusting so we now have a cooker that is dangerous and can not be used, there attitude when we tried to explain our side of the problem was basically didn't care about anything we had to say, stay away from any of there products they are not safe or fit for purpose all they like to do is take your money and leave you with all the faults.
I would never buy a product from that manufacturer again.

Terrible Customer Service & Product

I bought a dual range cooker wityh dual oven on 30/10/2020 and by 06/03/2021 the smaller oven inside glass shattered into thousands of tiny pieces after use. I have no idea how this happened aside it wasn't fit for the temperature it reached. Not only this, the main oven thermostat doesn't allow it to reach temperature so now I have both ovens not working. I contacted customer service who advised that the shattered glass on it's own couldn't have happened, therefore calling me a liar. They also said it isn't covered under it's guarantee so they can't replace. They then said they couldn't send an engineer out to fix the thermostat due to it potentially not working properly due to the glass that is now gone from the other oven, once that is fixed the can send an engineer out. I don't see why I should have to pay for new glass when it wasn't my fault and also what's the stop it happening again. I am now trying to claim under section 75 to get my money back so I can buy a new oven. Awful customer service.

back cracked after 2 years!

Not worth of buying, half of fridge is defrosted half is frozen , I have to collect water every week! after 2 years the back just cracked in few places. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Now after 2 years fridge will end up in a landfield. NEW WORLD is not
the company we can trust unless we want planet full of rubish.

I got a free standing electric single…

I got a free standing electric single cooker from argos only had it 10 days frontleft hob only used twice the silver rim has gone like a dark copper colour now the grill and oven it takes half hour to do cheese on toast what the heck it shouldn't take 20 mins to do 2 slices of toast this is on highest heat grill isn't that hot. I phoned argos its being replaced no problem I selected another cooker different brand for same price
