A waste of money washing machine lasted…

A waste of money washing machine lasted just over the warranty and can’t get repaired as repair company unable to find a new motor, customer service is not great already had to have the seals drawer and door replaced, would waste your time or money on this company’s products

This company is absolutely diabolical

This company is absolutely diabolical. I purchased a new oven and there was a defect, so I couldn't use this oven after having it installed by a qualified electrician. I rang the support line and was told that I would have an engineer out immediately to see what the problem was. Well it's 7 weeks later now and back and forth emails, with absolutely no resolve as of yet.

I was told on the telephone to email, but when I email I don't get a response. So when I called to advise that I had emailed, I was told by Hayley that emails are less likely to get a response and it's better to call. Ridiculous.

I have been without an oven for 7 weeks, I'm a lone parent with a toddler and I've had to rely on the microwave and one single person air fryer.

Beckie then emails me telling me that I can have a like for like, only I'll need to go to Argos and request this with a code. I emailed her back immediately and advised that this wasn't going to resolve the issue entirely because I had paid for an electrician to install it. I wasn't prepared to pay someone again for an issue that was not my fault. I'd have been out of pocket by another £80. I've had absolutely no response after 10 days and I'm sick to the stomach with it. I'm in an awful situation where I can't afford to buy another one, I can't afford to do anything to resolve a situation that isn't my fault and this company is ignoring me.

So I'll be going to the media by Friday if nothing has been resolved. So you might catch me in the daily mail holding my toddler with a sad face, next to an oven that doesn't work with NEW WORLD in bold to give the company the discredit they deserve.

New world do nothing to help sent me back to argos where I bought it the cooker arrived with no hindge on one side of grill door both party keep passing me back and fourth no intentions of sorting problem basically for me to fix absolute joke never ever buy from argos and NEW WORLD YOU ARE A JOKE AND RUDE ON THE PHONE , I HAVE TO PAY FOR FOR IT TO BE LOOKED AT DISGUSTING TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THATS IT NO HELP WHATSO EVER

A Complete Nightmare Purchase & CS

We regrettably bought a New World double-oven cooker from Curry's about 4 years ago! From day 1, everything including the delivery went wrong. Then the door handle for the bottom oven fell off and they could not find the spare as it had been discontinued. So, oven without door handle was being used. The next thing to go were the oven bulbs, then the cooker kept tripping, then the element went, then the digital clock went and could not be repaired, so had to be cut off, and how the thermostat for both the oven used and the top un-used oven have just gone! I have spent more than I bought the cooker (approx 600.00 GDP) for on repairs and call-outs and the insurance cover was a night and day mare! NEVER, ever again will a New World product be bought by my household, which is a shame really, as we grew up on their products in the late 60s/70s. An extremely stressful experience.

Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased the NEW world cooker. Absolutely regretting. The cooker started tripping out my electricity in March 2022. I contacted the new world repairs team as the cooker is just over a year.
Each time I spoke to customer service I was promised an engineer will get in touch to carry out the needed repair. But , several weeks went by no engineer contacted me. Made several phone culls, very frustrating as its the same answer each time.
Finally, an engineer came out yesterday ( after nearly 2 months) . So unprofessional, asked me to PAY FOR his PARKING outside my property. Just had quick look at the cooker and said its a wear and tear. BUT how can something so dangerous electrical issue be just wear and tear and that I should be more cautious using the cooker . He did not even do a electrical check.
Contacted NEW WORLD again and reported the event. They turned around and said its nothing to do with them and I should contact their manufacture team or ARGOS . I asked the customer service person for the Manufacture department number but she said its not her problem and I should find out myself.
Absolutely shocked and disgusted with this company.
Been absolute nightmare and would advice anyone NOT TO BUY their products.

Buyer beware

Bought a New World cooker after only 6 months all the knobs fell off, the knobs were made of plastic which became brittle after time from use of grill situated just below knobs, New World must of known of this problem as they have now put metal ring on the same knobs to strengthen the weak spot on the knobs.
I believe New World are part of the Glen Dimplex group who also own Creda,Belling,Morphey Richards amongst others.
Do not buy anything from this company as they have no customer service to speak of what so ever, they will not reply to their own 'contact us' form and leave you hanging on the phone forever.

New world cooker pile of junk

Like everyone else I wish I read the reviews. Bought a New World range style oven and in the first year all knobs have fallen off and needed replacing. 1 year on and oven door glass just randomly shattered. It has now been 5 years and with continuous problems with knobs and very unsafe when you have small children. I am getting rid and getting myself a real range cooker. I will never buy from this company again.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service, oven needed fixing back in November 2021 and I’m still waiting for an engineer to fix it, it’s now completely packed up and I have no oven, with a family of 4 adults and two young children I need an oven! All I get is the part is on order and they have sent the details to someone higher to sort but then nothing for weeks on end! The stress of it all just make me want to cry with frustration, I can’t just buy a new oven a year after buying what seemed a good oven, wasn’t even a cheap oven!

Product good, customer services awful

Happy with the product, but customer service from New World is awful. I had a simple question about how to do something with the grill that is not explained in the instructions. Lady on the phone was nice but hopeless. She advised me to send an email with my query. I did so and had a reply quite quickly saying she would ask and get back to me. That was 31st December and on the 8th February I am still waiting for a reply. I have sent two chasing emails which have been ignored by customer services.

First one had to send back had a scratch . Cooker is not very powerful. Clock is way out, set it 2 minutes fast as took me ajis to work it out, it is now 8 mins fsst. It looks good for the price though.

Do not buy from this company

Washing machine 13 months old (two year warranty) smoking and throwing out burning plastic fumes.
Customer service were an absolute joke, very rude , unhelpful and gave false information and was told my machine is not a priority . Argos on the other hand realise the danger of this machine and have promised a call back with in 24-48 hours to come look at it as it is quite obviously a priority as it’s dangerous

Started smelling gas the bottom oven would go off and you could smell gas when spoke to Argos they weren't that helpful
all they said was that was urgent safety issue , but didn't replace the cooker until last Fri , now this new world cooker is having issues with the glass lid not right and the gas rings won't light all the time , not happy at all 😡😡😡😡

Awful company

Awful company! Purchased a washing machine via Argos - was under warranty but still got a plumber out who confirmed that the plumbing is fine. Water keeps flowing back into the softener tray and clothes come out damp.

Arranged a call out for an Engineer with New World under warranty, and was given a large time slot so had to take a day off work, was given between 1-4. Come 5pm no show and no phone call, when I called they said that they have no control once the engineer has the job, they tried calling and the engineer was on voicemail. Day off work, lost money, no one at New World seems to have an answer, and they close at 5.30pm - SHOCKING COMPANY will never use again for any other appliance.

Impossible to bake a cake in their oven!!!

We moved into a beautiful new turn key home 3 years ago and a brand new new world oven had been installed. First time we used it the oven overheated, put off smoke alarms and burnt the inside of the neighbouring cupboards and melted the knobs on the oven. We got a newworld engineer out within a week or so but they wouldn't attend outside of our working hours. They replaced thermostat but didn't replace knobs or do anything else to fix our brand new cupboards. I love to bake, but everything I have made in the oven over last few years since has been a fail. I have wasted so much time and money and just can't get anything to turn out right from that oven. I'd like to say I know how to bake as I have won plenty of baking competitions before using this oven. Trying now to save to replace it. Super annoyed at the lack of quality of the newworld oven, I understand it is likely a budget oven, but we could have very nearly burnt down the house. Thermostats should be a basic safety check before oven is shipped.

A disaster

A disaster ! It is two weeks old .The fan oven blade is catching on something and makes a terrible noise so the oven cannot be used. This second oven is so narrow as to be useless anyway. The main oven takes forever to heat up and then on middle range it heats v poorly. The main hob knob is loose already. There are no instructions supplied re operating the digital controls.

Warning newworld dishwasher overheating

Warning, Bought a built in dishwasher from argos 16 months ago and although it has a 2 year warranty on it we decided not to fight for repairs.
A couple of months ago it started either not working or doing half a clean etc, showing various error warning lights, the most recent showed it was overheating.
when it was removed from under the worktop the rear of the washer had been melting, the residue was stuck to the plug and we expect the plug could've melted if we had ignored the overheating warning. There was an outside wall at the rear of it and nothing else there to cause the machine to overheat
We had no idea the back of the machine was hot, we never smelt anything burning and dread to think what could've happened.
we chose to support our businesses by buying british.....never again
Update: just discovered the melting of the rear of the dishwasher took place because the rear of the machine was touching the plug. This never happened with our previous machine which was by another manufacturer

The worst customer service I have ever had.

I bought a New World built-under double oven in September 2020. In May 2021 the bottom oven stopped working, with "5h0p" displaying. Repeated calls to New World have resulted in zero visits by an engineer. This is disgraceful customer service. This oven has a two year warranty that New World are refusing to honor.
I will not be buying another New World product.

Very disappointed with customer…

Very disappointed with customer service. Oven less than 5 weeks old, and bottom oven bulb blew, tripping electrics. Customer service state, not covered by warranty ( despite less than 5 weeks), told me I would need to buy a new bulb and have it fitted to see if it happens again. Luckily Argos ( who I bought it through) were much more understanding than this shouldn’t have happened on something so new. Wished I’d bought a different brand with a manufacturer who actually cares about consumers
