UPDATE: Item arrived.
Still 2 stars because CS were super rude on Whatsapp and they're basically impossible to contact (don't reply to emails, don't pick up calls).

Scammy. Placed an order but there’s no tracking. They don’t answer the phone either, it’s impossible to contact them.

UPDATE: They ask to know what the order is on here so they can look good. But still don't answer calls or their whatsapp.

We ordered an ottoman in march, and it is not arrived yet! we tried to contact but they answered only the first 2 months saying that the shipment was about to be sent.
now they're not responding anymore!

FRAUD

I ordered a couch worth €4500 and have had no updates about the shipment of my item in 4 months. I have reached out to customer care with no personal response and the telephone number on their website doesn’t work. It seems like a total scam and am looking into taking fraud legal action.

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear your experience did not match your expectations. This is on us, we have been out of the office more often than usual and haven’t been able to answer every phone call. I take this opportunity to mention that the phone number is also our WhatsApp. If we don’t answer the call you can always contact us by sending a WhatsApp message and we’ll get back to you soon as possible.

We sent out an update on the shipment a few weeks ago, please have a look at the spam inbox as the email can often end up there. As I mentioned to you on Instagram the other day, the sofa is with customs waiting to be released. This can take up to 10 - 14 working days and once the item is released you will be contacted with a delivery date. The good news is that the order is within the given lead time and isn’t experiencing any delay. We expect to delivery the item within the given delivery time, if customs releases the shipment this week. Should the customs process take longer I apologise in advance for the sleigh delay with your order.

Communication could be better

Updating my review. It's been a while since I ordered, and Michael was finally able to ship my order. Anxiously waiting for my mirror!

I understand that due to fuel prices shipping costs and logistics issues have skyrocketed, but the lack of communication is the issue here, which makes people think this isn't a serious company.

AS I mentioned in my email Shipments to Europe are shipped in batches making several deliveries en route. Occasionally we need to hold back delivery to a specific region until we have a viable number of deliveries to justify the trip. This was the case with your delivery, however, your order is currently en route, and the delivery team is making their way to Portugal. This method takes longer than shipping the item directly but it’s the only option we have as the cost of shipping continues to rise.

Saarinen Chairs

On February 28th 2022, I ordered on the Nue Modern website 4 Saarinen Conference Chairs in Hemp - Yellow / Ash. I got news on May 7th that the chairs had been received in UK and that they would be shipped soon. It was a little later than I expected, but it was okay.
After a number of follow-ups, I have received all four chairs late July. The look fabulous and pricing was competitive. The supply chain experience is a mess but it is worth the effort if you want to create an outstanding living room at an affordable price. Thank you.

Shipments to Europe are shipped in batches and several items will be delivered en route. In order to make the trip viable, we need to have a certain number of deliveries. And occasionally we need to hold back delivery to a specific region until we have a viable number of deliveries to justify the trip. I can see by the tracking number that the table is with customs and will be delivered soon. Please allow time for the items to be delivered. The item isn't delayed, we are only on the 3rd week.

Avec Nue modern, j'ai pu réaliser un rêve devenu abordable. Je n'y croyais pas trop au début et j'ai pris le risque de cette commande. Tout s'est bien passé, malgré un petit problème du à un changement de leur logiciel. Des réponses à tous mes mails. Ma lampe est très belle, elle est bien arrivée, bien emballée. We have ordered furniture in February, and in June the furniture still didn’t arrive, lack of communication from your side.
Terrible service.
You people promise to answers, then dissipated, set a arrival date for the furniture and don’t even have the decency to let us know that is has been delayed.

Great company to deal with snd…

Great company to deal with snd excellent customer service. My lamp was stunning, just like the pictures and arrived within the 4 weeks as advertised with tracking updated continually during that time. Will definitely use Nue Modern again.

Customer service to improve

Have ordered and payed a sofa in December 2021. Delivery scheduled for 7/04/2022. Carrier called to schedule delivery and called back two days later to cancel. No news from Nue Modern until I wrote a disgruntle comment on Trustpilot... Finally got delivered on 26/7/2022 quality ok.

Hello, an email was sent on the 26 of April updating you on the shipment but no delivery date was provide. For EU deliveries carriers aren't giving delivery times due to the situation with the customs checks. The carrier will however contact you prior to the delivery.

Took my money but never sent anything.

Samples didn’t arrive a month after ordering.
Refund was prompt although there was no reply or explanation as to why the samples had never been sent.
If samples can’t be sent and there is zero communication how can I trust this brand to make a sofa?
Assume my money would have been kept without ever sending anything if I hadn’t got in touch.

Edit after response: It’s staggering that the response focuses on removing samples because they were generating bad reviews, rather than offering any explanation for why you failed to fulfil the order for a whole month, or communicate that our order would not be fulfilled. This is basic customer service and it was totally lacking. To be clear - it took proactive communication from me to ask Nue Modern where the samples were, and only at that point was I refunded with zero explanation why I was getting a refund instead of the samples I ordered.
We were a genuine customer, and ordered a range of samples for a sofa we were interested in ordering. The swatches appeared to be very small, so we ordered two of each colour at £0.10 each to make sure we had a sample large enough to make a decision on. This was an option OFFERED ON YOUR WEBSITE and infinitely more convenient and affordable than making an appointment and three hour round trip to view samples at your office. By the point this was offered as an option, you hadn’t communicated for more than a month after the sample order was placed: if you couldn’t fulfil samples nor be bothered to communicate with your customers they should never have been offered for sale in the first place, and all the resulting one star reviews are wholly justified. The lack of communication after ordering meant our trust had long since been lost. Would not recommend risking large sums of money with a company that is poor at communicating, and accuses its customers of “abuse” for placing an order.

Unfortunately, all orders for fabric samples have been cancelled. We gave everyone, including your self a full refund several weeks ago. Notification of the cancellation and refund was sent. We stopped offering samples due to the high number of poor reviews it was generating. It was our worst-performing product and continues to be even after being removed from the website. All fabrics continue to be available for viewing at our office, and you are more than welcome to come and see all the fabric options we have. Please note that we can also produce any items in your own material should you wish.

Tufty Time Sofa

Having purchased my sofa from Nue Modern I was extremely pleased with both the service (as it was made to order) and the final product. In fact I'm so in love with my sofa I will definitely buying more pieces from them.

Great chair, would recommend.

I will be honest I was hesitant before ordering with Nue Modern, however my chair arrived today and I couldn’t be more pleased. The quality is great and they were fast to reply via Instagram along the process. The only reason why it’s not 5 stars is the order took over 4 months to arrive but completely understandable due to the current climate. Would totally recommend!

Top quality and great service

I have already ordered 2 times via Nue Modern and I have say that I was bluffed by the very good quality of their product and the robust packaging ensuring you get your prodcut in perfect condition. Very good value for money.
Michel has been very helpful and responsive.
Of course there are some additional delays in the delivery to factor in given the context (Covid, Brexit, lock downs in China etc.) but worth the wait.

Bonne communication au globale. Il ne faut simplement pas être pressé pour recevoir la marchandise.
J'ai par la suite commandé un canapé et des lampes, elles sont en cours d'acheminement.
Je suis globalement très satisfait du service et de la communication.

Good communication overall. Just don't be in a hurry to receive the goods.
I subsequently ordered a sofa and lamps, and they are on their way.

Item never delivered

I placed an order on 07 December and was told my item would be delivered within 14-18 weeks at the latest.

Communication with Nue Modern was responsive at the beginning (pre Christmas 2021) and I was told that my item would be shipped in the January shipment and further updates would follow. Since January 2022, they have have now ignored all follow up emails and I have been unable to reach them via phone. No delivery updates have been provided and item has still not arrived, nor does the "Order Status" online show this as shipped. Nue says they have sent emails communicating delays but these have not been received in my inbox or spam.

Whilst I appreciate there may be delays in shipping - the lack of communication from the team at Nue is simply unacceptable for such high value items.
