This was an extremely frustrating experience with a custom order. The company recut the same custom stair piece incorrectly twice. The first time, it was an inch too short, and they initially tried to charge me an additional fee to fix their mistake. The second cut was at least four inches too long.

When I contacted them again, they wanted me to pay for return shipping to correct an error that was clearly theirs. I requested a refund since I still do not have the product I paid for, but that was refused.

I have documentation of the templates I approved for both attempts, and neither final product matches those specifications. Given that custom cuts are expensive, this lack of quality control and accountability is unacceptable.

I would not recommend working with this company for custom orders. There appears to be no verification process to ensure the final product matches the approved template, leaving the customer to absorb the cost of their mistakes.

I am very pleased with the quality of the Montauk stair treads. They feel very soft and after walking on them for a month they haven't moved at all. Before I placed the order I was told that the wait time would be 6 to 10 weeks since they are custom made but I was very pleased when it only took 7.

Over two months never received ordered goods. Sent several emails to find out when my order would ship and got no replies. Had to dispute credit card transaction. This is a scam.

We purchased stair treads for a client via this site. At NO time during our order process or thereafter were we notified they couldn't get the product from their vendor. We waited over 2 months for Order #24332 and still haven't received it. Just called and they said they are behind and waiting for the carpet to arrive at their facility to have the stair treads made. Honestly, if we had known the client would be expected to wait 3 months for stair treads we would have just used another vendor. I will never use this company again.
