Poor customer service

Loyal customer of three years, prurchsisbg sweets for my event. They sent me 5 wrong items in my order because they had a stock issue- once received I had let them know they’ve sent me sweets I didn’t want to order- I know have to print and return the sweets through the post office.
Some advice- DONT INCLUDE SWEETS THAT PEOPLE DIDNT WANT OR PAY FOR, CONTACT THE CUSTOMER AND OFFER AND REFUND OR REPLACEMENT.

Avoid this company at all costs !!!

Avoid this company at all costs do not spend any money with them. I placed an order on 21/12/2025 & still have not received my order. The order was never dispatched or any tracking information supplied. They are currently blaming Evri but are not admitting they failed to ever send the order in the first place.

Paid for item was told it was lost and that I need to wait for their investigation before they would issue a refund??. Took days for a reply today is 14 days after I ordered where I get confirmation of the refund, probably another week for that. If you use a cheaper courier expect issues

Wrong order received

I have used One Pounds Sweets for about 4 years now, never had an issue until this month. I ordered an array of sweets for my sons birthday, when my order arrived one of the items was missing / sent a different item. I flagged this to the company, I spoke with Ellie who got back to let me the item I wanted was out of stock so they sent me an item that I didn’t ask for. 1. Why was I able to purchase an item that was out of stock? 2. If any item is out of stock why wouldn’t you inform the customer? 3. Why would you send the customer something they didn’t ask for instead of just refunding my money? This was only raised because I flagged it to them, otherwise they would have been happy to just take my money. I do not recommend using this company as you don’t know what you’ll be getting but they will just happily take your money. The sweets aren’t even good quality, I use them for aesthetics for party tables.

Ordered 13th August

Ordered 13th August, never received. Emailed them on the 23rd August, received a response on the 25th August asking what my delivery address was so I provided that. No reply since, sent another email 28th August asking for a refund. Still no reply so I assume they are going to keep ignoring me. Really bad customer service and I’ve literally paid money for nothing.

unfortunately our inventory management system is causing a lot of issues at the moment and we didn't have the items in stock in our warehouse. this is the reason for the refunds.

Ordered sweets

Ordered sweets, stated free delivery over £20.00 which the order was. Next thing I know is that I get a refund with no explanation on why my order was cancelled.
Due to this I would not recommend purchasing from this company.

Sweets didn’t arrive

I’ve waited to post this in hopes someone could respond to my urgent emails, and messages but that hasn’t happened and is well over the 24hr response time. So far I’m still waiting for my order, Ive had no emails or dispatched emails only more advertising. I’ve messaged on messenger, and emailed twice. It’s now too late so I’ve had to order elsewhere and now want a refund if someone can please look into this. It seems impossible to contact anyone.

Rapid delivery and good value for money!

Super fast delivery which was FREE because of the amount ordered. Each 140gram bag cost £1.00 and 20 bags attract an additional four bags given away for free. The total order (including free bags) was £24, which places the order in the free delivery category. My order was placed on Saturday, 19th July 2025, and delivery was received on Sunday, 20th July 2025.

It is a fair comment to say that I had expected to receive Jakemans throat and chest sweets because the web page link uses the Jakemans name and the illustration shows Jakemans sweets. Managing expectations is the responsibility of the vendor. I expect that there are some vendor obligations to the buyer which comprise legal implications. My opinion is that One Pound Sweets should not use Jakemans Sweets images nor should their web page tell the viewer that the link is to Jakemans sweets. The description should use the image of the actual product being sold and the text should indicate that they are a substitute sweet for Jakemans. I would not be unhappy to have received the product sent to me on that basis.

The product received is broadly similar to Jakemans. It possibly does not stay in the mouth as long if just sucked and it may be missing the menthol, eucalyptus and aniseed flavours of Jakemans (these flavours are not listed as ingredients). I estimate that it represents about 60% of the Jakemans experience. The 3.36kg received for £20 and free delivery represents good value. As a standby, I think it is a creditable substitute. I would prefer to buy the original Jakemans once they become more widely available again. Other people may be just as happy with either product.
