We found Steve after doing a lot of online research and reading reviews following our son’s disappointing Chemistry mock results.

Although Alfie hasn’t yet received his A-level results, the improvement has already been clear. His predicted grade has increased, his confidence has grown enormously, and, most importantly, he now feels genuinely positive, as do his college teachers.

Steve was always reliable, turning up for every lesson as arranged. He has a relaxed, approachable teaching style that immediately put Alfie at ease, while still challenging him and encouraging him to reach his potential. Homework was set and, crucially, always marked with helpful feedback.

Perhaps the biggest compliment we can give is that Alfie never once complained about having a tutoring session, quite an achievement for an 18-year-old! He actually looked forward to them and came away understanding topics that had previously seemed difficult.

I had a very pleasant experience with my tutor. Steve made chemistry easier to understand and gave me access to hard exam questions for me to practice my exam technique. He also effortlessly explained difficult concepts that I found difficult to grasp initially. This definitely assisted to me to achieve an A in A-Level Chemistry confirming my place to study medicine. Steve has tutored my son Richie throughout this academic year for his A-Level Chemistry resit as he aspires for a second time to make Vet School. Steve was an excellent tutor throughout A-level chemistry. His explanations were always great, not only improving my understanding of chemistry but improving my confidence too. I liked the way I could record the lessons, as I could then use them as revision resources closer to my exams. The use of past paper questions throughout each lesson was also extremely helpful for my understanding of a topic and helped to highlight any issues. Steve has made a profound difference to my son’s grades and confidence during his A-levels.
