First time to use this company and I absolutely love my sideboard. It's so unique, well made and looks great. I would highly recommend. Yes the waiting time is 15 to 20 days but when you get a quality product that you love then the wait is worth it

Be warned with a very long wait for…
Be warned with a very long wait for your item to arrive. I placed an order of 2 cushions on the 22nd of January and they still haven’t arrived yet. No communication from the company, they don’t pick up the phones. What was supposed to be a simple order has become distressing to the point I’m thinking will my items ever turn up or is this a scam company or what!!!

We’re genuinely very sorry to read that you felt this way about your experience.
I would like to clarify that from the moment you first contacted us, we replied to each of your emails within a couple of working hours and kept you updated at every stage. There was no point at which your enquiry was left unanswered or ignored.
Your order was dispatched within the stated 3–5 working day lead time shown on the product page and in your confirmation email. Unfortunately, once the parcel entered DPD’s network, there was an issue flagged by DPD at their depots which caused a delay to your parcel. As soon as this came to light, we raised it directly with DPD, requested tracking, monitored the parcel closely and kept you informed throughout. We also offered to dispatch a replacement to avoid further delay.
The decision to divert the parcel to a local pick-up point was made by DPD within their delivery network. Neither we nor our supplier have the ability to pre-enable or force that option when booking consignments. We completely understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you were waiting at home, and we did escalate this further on your behalf.
We are a small, family-run business and take pride in our communication and service. We absolutely are not a scam company, and we work extremely hard to resolve any issues as quickly as possible when they arise. While this situation was outside of our direct control once in transit, we did everything available to us to support you.
We’re truly sorry that your experience did not reflect the standard we aim to deliver and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

The selection of products is unique and elegant. The shopping process was smooth. The final products are stunning - we ordered 2 coffee tables and are delighted! The items are well made, solid, beautiful and so good, we are probably to order another!!

Long time for delivery ,item just wasn’t the quality we expected for the price ,it’s nice but not as nice as the pics ,would not buy from again unfortunately.
REPLY *The delivery time is vague at best when purchasing.I didn’t know when I bought it that it was coming from the Netherlands or I’d not have bought it ,I could have got similar quicker and cheaper is my point .you don’t mention delivery time till after payment either .My experience is as a customer not a seller so you obviously have your answer down to pat for the “when will it arrive”question because it’s must get asked a lot. I don’t buy mirrors a lot so unless another mirror company is buying from you then I suspect most customers would share my view that from our perspective you are vague and have answers for faqs already set . Like I said it’s ok nothing special,not worth the wait or money and I am the one waiting and paying so my thoughts are valid .thank you

With regards to delivery, we do display an estimated delivery timeframe on every product page, which can range from next-day delivery up to around four weeks depending on the item. As your order was sourced from our supplier in the Netherlands, a delivery estimate of 15–20 working days was provided at the time of purchase, and your order was delivered within 17 working days, so comfortably within the estimated timeframe.
We’re also sorry to hear that the item itself wasn’t quite as you expected. While our product imagery is intended to represent each piece as accurately as possible, we completely understand that seeing an item in person can sometimes feel different, and we’re disappointed to hear that it didn’t live up to what you were hoping for.
As a small, family business, we genuinely value all feedback as it helps us continue to improve our service as much as possible. Thank you again for your time and for sharing your experience.

Top notch for British craftsmanship and service
Really high quality product (leather beanbag chair), delivered very quickly with perfect communication and updates ahead of arrival. Really top notch all round experience and the icing on the cake is that the product was made in England! I would definitely come back to the store on the basis of our experience. We’re even tempted to buy another beanbag- we are so impressed.

Instant email confirmation of the order , updated when en route and when delivered. Both items were very well packaged and as expected. Be aware that the dispatch company name differs. Quick delivery, responsive customer service
I found Otello on the website when I was searching for an unusual product that I wanted to pair up with one I'd bought from a high street store. Delivery was quick and efficient. The Shop App was a bit quiet and I did query the status of the order after a couple of days, but received an immediate and friendly response to confirm it had been dispatched.

Ordered a dining room table, despatch was extremely fast and it was delivered a couple of days later. I did have an issue when it arrived which was not Otello’s fault, I called them and they resolved the problem immediately and confirmed it by email too. Poor delivery company
I must emphasise the situation is not the fault of Otello.
Delivery is by Fed Ex. They have told me three days running that the parcel will be delivered by 1430 hours. Still not arrived and no way to contact them. Otello should be careful using them as it reflects negatively on them.

I completely understand how frustrating your delivery experience has been, and I do appreciate that couriers can unfortunately be unreliable at times.
We have previously reviewed and trialled a number of courier partners and, based on reliability and customer service, FedEx has been the most consistent option for our customers. We do our very best to work with the most reliable couriers available to ensure the service we provide is in line with our high standards. That said, we do appreciate that couriers can occasionally fall short of these standards, and experiences like yours are taken very seriously when we review performance.
As a small, family run business, low star reviews have a significant impact on us. If this explanation has helped to provide a clearer picture of the situation, we would be extremely grateful if you might consider revisiting your review.

Beautiful cabinet
Beautiful cabinet, I love it. Fits perfectly in the space.
Slightly more expensive than expected.
Delivery took about 3 weeks. Disappointed with driver who just dumped it near front door and not the room it was meant for. Ironic as I live in a bungalow. I think he was just so busy. However, the waiting time would put me off buying again from the company.

Regarding our delivery lead times, some of our collections are sourced from our trusted suppliers across the EU, which can mean delivery to our UK warehouse takes a couple of weeks before being dispatched to you. This allows us to offer a wider and more exclusive range of pieces that are not readily available elsewhere.
As soon as these items arrive with us, our team prepares and dispatches sends straight out on a suitable delivery service, usually this is next day delivery, so they reach you as quickly as possible.
That said, we also have thousands of other products stocked here in the UK with much shorter delivery times, with many available and delivered within just 1–3 days.
We also display the estimated delivery timeframes for each item directly on the relevant product pages on our website. This information remains visible throughout the journey, ensuring our customers are fully informed of the estimated delivery times for their items.
We truly appreciate your feedback and hope this helps to give a little more context around our delivery process.

Ordered 2 x Brass Planters after waiting 4 weeks they arrived. On opening the boxes we saw that they were of poor quality and significantly damaged. We informed Otello”s immediately but it took over a week to agree and get a refund. But worked out ok in the end.

I am truly sorry to hear that you’ve been left feeling disappointed by your experience with us. We take great pride in delivering a consistently high level of service, so it’s genuinely disappointing if we have fallen short of that standard on this occasion.
I would just like to provide a little more clarity around the situation with your order. As soon as your issue was reported to us on Monday, we immediately raised it with our supplier’s quality control team for review. For defective items, as opposed to those damaged in transit, it is essential that the suppliers quality control manager carries out a full investigation before we can confirm the next steps, such as whether a collection is required. This investigation helps ensure any potential manufacturing issues are properly identified and prevented in future, which is why it’s a necessary part of our process and usually takes a couple of working days to complete.
In other cases where an item is damaged during delivery, we do of course arrange collections and replacements right away. However, for rare cases of product defects, the manufacturer’s quality control investigation must be completed first before we can proceed, so that the cause of the issue can be fully understood and addressed.
Unfortunately, our team member Charlotte was on annual leave the following day, which caused a short delay in communication, and we completely understand how this may have caused some frustration. As soon as she returned on Wednesday, she provided you with an update confirming that we were awaiting the completion of the suppliers investigation. Once the investigation was completed and confirmed a further inspection was not required, we immediately initiated your full refund.
We are very proud to maintain an average response time of under 2 hours, though during our busiest season of Black Friday, it can take slightly longer for us to respond. As a small family run business, we take every piece of feedback to heart and as a small team we work extremely hard (often evenings and weekends) to ensure our customers receive the high level of service that we are known for.
We do genuinely appreciate your feedback and I hope this helps to provide a little more context around what happened.
