C'est la deuxième fois que nous commandons une bouilloire ALICE. Le produit que nous voulions commander était en rupture de stock. Nous avons demandé au service client si et quand le modèle serait disponible et on nous a très rapidement donné des explications sur cette rupture temporaire, le délai d'attente et proposé de nous tenir au courant lorsque le produit serait de nouveau disponible. Quelques temps après nous avons été informé que le produit était de nouveau disponible et avons pu le commander. Reçu quelques jours après. Très bien emballé et conforme. Nous recommandons fortement.

I bought the Alice kettle, enticed by the promise of a plastic-free kettle made "entirely in 18/10 stainless steel." When I opened the package, it turned out that the knob and handle of the kettle are made of plastic. So much for "entirely" steel - talk about misleading product description.

Perhaps most people wouldn't care, but I'm trying to reduce my plastic exposure - specifically to microplastics and the residue of toxic chemicals involved in plastic production, which can be absorbed through skin contact. The fact that in such an expensive kettle, the parts that I would handle every day are made of cheap plastic is so very disappointing. The fact that the company carefully avoided disclosing this fact in the product description on their website is infuriating.

Their customer service was not particularly helpful. They seem to believe that so long as the plastic doesn't come in contact with the water, everything is hunky-dory. They said I can have a refund, if I pay to ship the kettle back to them and pay them 8 euro for "return management" - but only if the "complaint/quality" department then approves the condition of the kettle upon return. Seeing how deceptive they are in their advertising, it's probably not worth it to throw good money after bad and spend additional funds on shipping it back to them.

The service was efficient and delivery was good. Unfortunately, the kettle came with a European plug so unable to use it straight away and will have to sort that out, some way.

Dafür mit einem vernünftigen Ausguss der nicht tropft, einem Deckel der auch ein Deckel ist und keine klapprige Plastikklappe und einem vernünftigen Griff.
