No magazine and no consistent timescales provided

I ordered a back issue of a magazine on 18/06/26. By 26/06/26 it had still not arrived, so I tried ringing the company and heard an automated message telling me I should wait 15 days. Still no magazine after that time, so I rang on 01/07/26 and spoke to someone. She told me that "as per their FAQs" I should actually allow 30 days for delivery. I queried where on earth the magazine is coming from to take such a long time. Her answer? Northampton! I have now checked their FAQs page and it actually says to allow 10 days for UK delivery, so that's 3 different timescales.

The woman I spoke to blamed Royal Mail for delivery delays, but I've had no problems with receiving packages from anywhere else. Today I decided that waiting any longer was completely futile and got my money back via PayPay.

I wish I'd looked for reviews on Our Media Shop before I ordered, because I wouldn't have bothered if I'd know how terrible they are. I was considering taking out a subscription to the magazine after ordering the back issue, but no way would I do that now.

Why did I not look here first! Ordered TDF magazine 27/6. Thank you , we'll tell you when it's despatched. Week later no sign no tracking. 4 emails laters. Yes it's despatched 30/6. Well tell you when it's despatched. eh? Kick up a fuss, we confirm we've cancelled your order. So not despatched at all then. What a shower. Race getting on for a week old now. Can't get the mag anywhere, too late now anyway.

Don't order from this company

Ordered 2026 Tour De France - Standard Edition, never received a confirmation email so phoned and was told the order was being processed. Still nothing received so phoned again and told order would be with me by 3 July at the latest. Still nothing arrived - now they don't answer the phone and their online contact form doesn't work. I think this maybe a scam so have raised it via Resolver - please add your bad experiences to Resolver too and maybe they might refund us or get closed down.

Having read other reviews I think this is a scam company and not actually going to ship anything . I ordered the Tour De France 2026 guide on 28th June with delivery promised before the tour starts in 2 days, I have had no order confirmation, dispatch / tracking info and no guide received , tour starts in 2 days so I will make my way to a shop to buy, refund requested via PayPal : avoid this company is a scam

Such a con

I wish I read this review before I used this company!! I ordered Sir David Attenborough - 100th Birthday Celebration on 13th May. I haven't got it for two weeks so contacted them. I was told to wait for 30 days as they ship in turns.... Now it is 29th Jun. It has been over a month. When I tried to send a message from their website, it happened error. This is such a con. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! (not even company....)
Update: I called customer service and spoke to a human. She told it has been shipped to delivery company but I never got any email or text message from delivery company. Evri usually let me know when they got an item. I don’t think they even shipped. Then I asked cancel an order and refund money with confirmation email. But they didn’t send me anything. They just took money. It is a fraudster.

Terrible experience

I would give no stars if I could, this is one of the worst company's I've ever dealt with, I just wish I'd read the reviews first.
I ordered my magazine and was told it would be dispatched in 2 to 3 days, after 2 weeks I asked where it was to be told it was an issue with Royal Mail, a week later I asked for a refund to be told that was fine and they'd cancel my order, clearly they were not telling the truth about Royal Mail as it had obviously never been dispatched. Please do not use this company, how they are still operating is a mystery to me.

Supplier to avoid

They never manage to deliver in time or at all, without several reminders, By last purchase I send them a reminder at the day of the order, but it did not help. They response is extremely slow and pointless. I have used them for the last time.

I too do not advise using this company

I too do not advise using this company. Like others I have paid for a subscription for a family member but that person only received a couple of issues. When contacted 3 other issues were finally sent after several mails. I have also been told to "extend" the subscription. Not sure what that means as my subscription is active, paid for and addressed correctly according to my online account.
This is not the first time I have had problems with this company. The BBC need to find another provider of this service if they want to sell their publications.

Avoid, if you do not want to be scammed

I would have given 0 or negative stars if possible. I placed order for 2 back issues of the BBC Music magazine on 31/01/2026. When I did not receive the order even after 1.5 months, I reached out to the customer support. After series of conversations where I was mentioned that only 1 of the items can be sent, I decided to cancel the entire order and get a full refund. I was put in a separate complicated process to get back my refund. But even after going through it, I never received the refund. I would say that this is a scam. Avoid it at any cost !!

Dreadful service

I ordered a back issue of BBC Music magazine on 13th March 2026. When it had not arrived after about 10 days I sent an email to find out where it was. They said it had been despatched on 13th March (the same day as I ordered it. I cannot dispute this but find it hard to believe). I was asked to wait 30 dayus for delivery. It did not arrive after 30 days so I contacted them via PayPal. They said they would arrange a replacemrnt to be sent. After a few emails back and forth, the magazine finally arrived on 22nd April. However it was delivered by a courier in a plain van and in a very bad state. The pages were crumpled amnd the spine of the magazine was completely broken. I am not going to take it up with them as i can't stand the hassle. I am pleased that I paid via PayPal as I think it prompted them to take notice of my complaint. There is NO WAY that I am going to buy a subscription, or anything else from them.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY! Had a one-year subscription to BBC Wildlife (12 issues). Received 2 . Every time I requested a replacement I was told 1) Canada Customs does not allow replacements, 2) US Customs does not allow replacements, 3) Canada Post is famous for unreliable service (not true). Several times told my subscription would be extended. (Never was.) Finally told I would receive a full refund. (Never happened.) This company seems to be nothing but a scam hiding behind popular brand names.

Ordered another back issue and magazine did not arrive - complained again, was told it had been sent but nothing arrive. Now waiting refund but do not hold out much hope. Help desk completely unhelpful with stock answers for everything.

Bunch of scammers

Like the majority of customers here, I paid for, but never received the items I ordered, and am of the mind that this company never intended to send them in the first place - took money under false pretenses, money I intend to get back through my bank. It seems to me, that Ourmediashop is nothing but a bunch of scammers, who need to be reported and hopefully, put a stop to, because taking someone's money and not providing the service, in my opinion, is theft.

Absolutely dreadful...

Absolutely dreadful.... Do not subscribe to any of the magazines that this company produces because you will find that you won't be sent all the issues you have ordered. I subscribed to Love Embriodery Magazine and did not get issue 75. Apparently, there was a printing issue... Why then aren't subscribers a priority over random buyers at W H Smith? You've already paid for your issue and it should have been sent out to you. I have contacted the customer service several times now. I've lost count! The instagram team are useless. Customer service either ignores your e-mails or lies to you about the issue being sorted. It's not fair on the customers or the people who design projects for the magazine because their name will be tarnished by assocation with it.

One star too many

One star too many! Ordered Simply knitting magazine issue 270 with cover gifts and payment was processed 30th October. After querying non receipt via their contact us form I received email stating that a replacement would be sent and to allow 3-5 working days for delivery. Guess what? No sign of it and the hassle of emailing again asking for a refund. Feel scammed.
Edit - Raised a resolution via PayPal for refund.

Don't deliver and don't want to deal with customers

Ordered two copies magazine for Tour de France 23 June. After ordering website said items had been despatched, were despatched from UK and would arrive within 14 working days (by 11 July). I wondered then what was going on as items despatched within the UK don't take three weeks in the post. I accepted I'd ordered too late and the magazine would arrive a few days after event started.

It didn't arrive. I contacted them through their website 15 July, got an automated response then nothing else. Email ignored. They sent one copy - half my order - yesterday 23 July. When I phoned today man I spoke to offered to send the other half. I asked for refund as now far too late. He immediately processed refund and said I would receive it within five days.

He then rang me back several minutes later to ask for my debit card details saying that because I had paid by electronic transfer he needed the card details to make the refund. I thought about it and refused - too many red flags (three weeks' post time within UK, ignored email, missing order, inability to refund to Paypal even though other companies can, telling me the refund had gone through then telling me something else). I realise I'm probably being overcautious here and could have had a refund so I don't hold that against the company. The one star is for the so called 'Customer Service'.

Completely failed to deliver time-sensitive item

Ordered the Tour de France Guide on June 10th for Father's Day, well before the event which starts early July. Guide never arrived despite ordering a month in advance. Customer service took 4 days to respond, then claimed to send a replacement which also never arrived. By July 16th, with the Tour de France approaching the half way point, the guide was pretty useless. Requested full refund. Based on my experience, I would avoid if you need anything time-sensitive.
