Really don’t bother, if you have spare money give it to a horse charity. If your horse is not in training you can’t even enter the ballots for visits we were gifted £200 worth of shares and got nothing for it as our horse is out of work all year also they sold 3000 shares at £50 each, No horse costs that much to run, it’s a con job way for them to make money

Complete con. Got a share in a race horse for my Christmas for £58. Then after a year was told the share has run out and need to pay another £28 a year to keep it going. So my horse who has never raced cost 4000 £58 then £28 every year there after or your share goes back out to sale for £58. At no point do they tell you that you have to pay each year, it will be buried in the small print.

I can only say if you buy a share don’t expect anything back, such as prize money or information on how your horse is doing! It’s all basic information and the only people who profit from any winnings are the management and trainer, you’re basically just helping them afford the horses to run as they couldn’t afford it without you, as I put it its crowdfunding.

Complete waste of time, as a shareholder (owner) you would expect to get an update from the trainer on how your horse is expected to run before the horse runs, zilch, nothing, you might get a video of the horse 10/12 days beforehand with benign trainer comments like he's well or the likes but no mention of what they expect from the run. Ive owned dozens of horses full and shares and have always had communication from a trainer about race prospects, thats why anyone becomes an owner otherwise whats the point.

I have had shares in racehorses with Owners Group for 4 years now. I currently have 6 horses.
I have such fun visiting the Trainers stables, and Equiprep, which is the Owners Group main stable yard.
Brilliant value for money, and the staff are very helpful in the office. Weekly videos.
Its not a money making pass time, so if you are looking at it as an investment, you will be disappointed. It is just a fun pass time.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY it is a total waste of time . Yes the horses look great but they never run . And when they do they get pulled up or come nowhere , or they get taken to eqiuprep for a break and you never here it run again till the renewing date . A total sham . Please be aware

I purchased shares in 2 race horse from The Racing Emporium ( Nigel Tinkler ) 2 to 3 years ago. No winnings have been paid out on asking again recently again about when I will receive my winnings from over 2 - 3 years ago, I am told there is an error on their system and they are still working on it. DO NOT BUY SHARES FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY DO NOT PAYOUT YOUR WINNINGS 2 -3 years is not acceptable
TOTAL SCAM

Last year I purchased two shares in Bond Broker unfortunately I have renewed this year whilst I understand the reason for a draw for owners badges at meetings 2 in nearly 3000not much chance but would travel and pay a on enterance anyway I have now been given the opportunity of going to see my horse at a stable open day,unfortunately this is done as a draw I have sincebeen diagnosed with terminal brain tumour the chemotherapy and radiotherapy has given me a stroke astrometry so I’m unable to drive. So would need to T pay for someone to drive me but they wouldn’t be allowed in if I won the draw anyway

Essentially a scam. I bought a share because I wanted a view inside the sport, to be a part of a horses journey and get some transparent view on the ownership of a horse. Instead it's anything but transparent, it's all the same old political answers and you get no more information than you would through traditional routes. Twice the company has played tactics to lure owners in to renewing shares. It makes me worry, and it seems like they have their profits far more at heart than the horses wellbeing. Don't do it.

The only people who don't make money from this scheme are the owners. My return on investment was about 25% and that includes VAT refunds. Had 7 wins from 4 horses but never really felt like an owner. Your swamped with information but never the information you want - the real chances of winning. Instead your given a value price to back which is usually way above the SP. Your horse can drift in the betting market or be backed but your none the wiser. By all means buy Grandad a share for a laugh but don't expect the horse to show a profit even if it wins races and the more shares you buy the more you'll lose!

I have purchased 2 shares in Horses with these and cannot recommend them enough. The welcome pack youbreceive is excellent and the weekly updates and videos bring alot of joy and interest to my elderly father. This is a great present for anyone interested in horse racing. 10/10

Not been with owners group Not very long, seem like a good syndicate, nice to have a share in a few horses

Be very careful buying shares in a horse with this group.when the term is coming to an end they declare it to run but then withdraw it for no good reason.my horse did not like the course but why did they enter it.just had an email tonight to say ile de Jersey shares are available to purchase but no mention that he is unfit to run.don’t go into this with your eyes closed.

My first experience with horse racing. Owners group keep us informed about our horses at all times - good as well as disappointing news. Weekly updates, videos and reports of races. It feels very personal and not as if I am just one of about 3000 owners! There is sometimes the chance to watch a race as an owner and also stable visits. Well done to all concerned - and keep up the good work!

I've been with Owners Group virtually from the start and they always come across as fair honest people whose first concern is the welfare of the horses. Once a horse is retired they are very keen to ensure the horse is found a good home.
There is no doubt in my mind that every share I've had/have in one of their horses is a genuine small percentage of 100% of the ownership of the horse - i.e. the sum of all the Owners Group members shares does represent full ownership of the horse.

You can tell the amount of positive or negative reviews this company has. Then all of a sudden over a couple of days the positive reviews shoes something underhanded.

I joined Owners Group after hearing from a friend. And it has been a Terrific choice. What a brilliant organisation every step of the way. You are kept fully informed on your horse(s) in my case. Get to visit the stables and see behind the scenes. And of course you have the pleasure of following your horses and seeing them run. I would recommend them to anyone who wants an experience in racing and takes the ups and downs that it brings.

I have had shares in horses with Owners Group since 2015 and have found them to be totally open and honest in the way they conduct their business. For just over £1 a week you can be involved with GOOD quality horses trained by TOP trainers, receive weekly updates on your horse, videos on their progress, a chance to get an owners badge when your horse runs, stable visits to see your horse. What a bargain. The key to your enjoyment is PATIENCE. Racehorses are athletes and just like human athletes they do take time to develope and sometimes have injuries. They are not machines or a cash bank!!! I was involved in Racehorse training years ago and know the trials and tribulations that are involved with training racehorses. Owners Group horses get the VERY best of everything. Over the years I have had to be patient with some of my interests and it has paid off many times. I have had over 30 winners and many placed horses during my time with Owners Group. Believe me I have enjoyed every minute. Gamblers who want a quick fix, this is not for you. D Roberts Somerset.

I love being part of this group - meeting and learning from top trainers. Being able to visit Equiprep - which has to be the top horse holiday spot, is a unique privilege. Knowing that my tiny contribution is guaranteeing my horse will be looked after for life is priceless.
