After years of only receiving an annual call asking to keep my details on file ( is this for KPİ purposes !?!?) but never being put forward for relevant positions and being told they had already gone on the day they were posted, I asked for all my details to be removed.
I'm told ' but you would have to re-register again if you apply with us' which is laughable as it's just a few questions over the phone to cover them.
İ was never interviewed face to face , even before COVID!
I relocated 200 miles away and applied for a job online hoping it wasn't the same agency or at least I would have a new rep local to the area but alas no, I'm contacted by Harry again.
I'm told I'm looking at approx £18k pa ( for 17 years experience in the industry which I said I wouldn't be working for !) he had great contacts, especially with the dealers in my town and would put my CV forward for a position he had ( nothing came of it , probably because it would have been an hour commute each way)
I secured 3 interviews ( 1 directly via a dealership advert, 1 via a friend and 1 via an excellent agency)
I pulled out of 1 due to the location ( same area as Harry's vacancy) but secured the other 2 for £23k and £26k !
I then requested my details be deleted again.
İmagine my suprise when I receive a call and text on 18.02.25 from Harry!
I text back that I had said for all my info to be deleted.
I'm told they had received my CV and they could contact me again! ( I hadn't applied for any roles with their agency)
They had a job for me ( which I had already been contacted about by another agency I wasn't with and was being advertised by the dealership themselves on a job site ! )
I said that PP had never so much as secured an interview for me in all the years I had been with them.
I'm told he can't advise me on that because my data was wiped (and they can't control what an employer is looking for and if they want to see me!)
I'm then told the last 3 dates they had received my CV!
İsn't that a little contradictory if my info had been deleted!?!?
Harry also said ' he felt we had had a good chat ( obviously not as you didn't listen to me saying I didn't want a long commute anymore)
I advised him his own colleague had been shocked by me being told I'd only earn £18 k pa.
I reply ' remove my data and don't contact me again '
I then received ANOTHER text which I deleted without reading.
I contacted 2 jobsites, who were both VERY concerned.
One said my CV was searchable but would only be sent to an employer when I applied for a position.
They said to block PP number and to contact them with any further issues
The other said a 'watchdog' would mean my searchable CV would come up when key words were entered but that I had not sent my CV to PP.
I totally believe the reviews on here from the employers saying they had candidates that hadn't been vetted properly and there were criminal issues.
And also from the candidate who wasted precious time going to an interview and the employer had left the site .
Much better agencies worthy of your time (and deserve the fees they charge) available.

Excellent service from Tom Thacker. Put me forward for many roles which weren’t available on usual job sites. Gave him my needs and he sourced placements suitable for me.
