Instructors knew what they were talking about alot of information and good experiences would recommend

All modules covered on the Phoenix CP course by our two instructors was made very easy to follow. The instructors had total knowledge, patience, understanding to our needs as well as giving us every possible opportunity to better ourselves and make use of time appreciation. In summary I would recommend this course to anybody wanting to look into working in a CP environment.

Firstly, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Phoenix Group for providing such a remarkable learning environment. I have had the pleasure of a truly enriching experience, and I can confidently state that the investment of time and resources has been well worth it. The knowledge and skills I have gained have transformed me profoundly, and I am no longer the same individual I was when I commenced this course.

I'll be honest from the start (Lance, one of instructors, WILL know if you lie about anything...), you need to have a decent level of physical mobility before you enrol on the CP course. Sadly, my lower back turned into a block of wood as I entered the final week, so had to pull out on medical grounds. I will, however, be joining the course again at a later date to complete it. My review is based on the time I was there....
Please understand that you are not buying a CP license. You are paying to be trained to become a CPO by instructors who have a vast amount of experience in the field at the highest levels of CP.
You will be pushed, physically and mentally, right from the start, as the course appears to have been designed for you to experience what the real life demands of being a CPO will be like.
The training goes way past the basic requirements of what can be taught in a classroom. The instructors, Jaye and Lance, and the CEO are genuinely passionate about the training and knowledge they provide and really do want you to succeed but you are expected to put 100% effort in at all times. They will, however, support you every step of the way.
I genuinely look forward to getting back on the course later this year and earning a CPO qualification through Phoenix.

I recently completed my Close Protection Level 3 course with Phoenix Group, expecting a high standard of service. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Not only has the FREC 3 course I paid extra for been delayed three times, but attempts to communicate and request a refund have been met with silence.

What's more, the lack of certificates or results post-course completion is concerning. Considering the significant financial investment of approximately £4,000, along with £945 for accommodation that fell short of expectations, the overall experience has been disappointing and has hindered my employment prospects.

I urge everyone to exercise caution when considering Phoenix Group for training services. It’s essential to be informed and make decisions that align with your expectations and standards.

Fast forward 2 weeks… still no refund.

I contacted Phoenix in regards to being given a refund. I had paid £1400 so far and they said I was only liable for £905, fair enough. I was told the payment was scheduled for 10 days time, so I waited 11. I contacted Phoenix again and they said they didn’t have my bank details to pay me. I gave my details and it has been well over a month and I haven’t had contact with them since. No email, not calls, NO PAYMENT!

I have tried contacting by WhatsApp, email and Instagram but they won’t open or answer anything.

Debt collectors have now been contacted 👍🏼

I attended Phoenix bar and club a lot of times, a big thank u to Scott the bartender was very professional and very good at his job, big big thanks to Damien and colm security they are a pleasure to this company I really enjoy coming here with these genuine men they are the best for this company and this job

As someone who has been in the security industry for a few years I am often asked or emailed by someone who has recently done the Phoenix course for guidance on work and where to look.

This is a big red flag as this shows the training provider is not giving guidance which should be part of the course.

Also you should realise that Phoenix is an utter cash cow putting 30 students a month through a course that costs £4k when most are £2500 and have 8-12 students.

You SHOULD also realise that you are not going to get a job with Sly Stallone or Connor McGregor and that Phoenix are truly great with marketing.

Myself and many more have been blocked by Phoenix and will continue to have our comments deleted.

Please do your research properly and use another training provider.

Arriving on the first day, the Phoenix team were very welcoming. I am not from a military/police background myself and i found the course itself was great, the training from all the instructors involved were great and their experience in the field was shown very early on. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Training staff worked really hard to give us the most experience possible

Bad time keeping, misleading, and did not get time to eat or sleep during the course

The instructors are very knowledgeable in their field and their experience is evident in the way they coach each attendee of the course. They employ real life situations and allow you to take operations within the training to focus on expanding your skillset and identifying areas for improvement before applying them in real life scenarios.

Scammy refund policy, I didn't even have a place on the course yet, as it wasn't due to start in a year and a bit. I've been putting in monthly deposits and then for medical reasons have had to pull out.

They've stated that they'll only give me back a quarter of my deposits and payments according to their disgusting and scammy refund policies, be careful to all, god forbid something happens in your life and you need to opt out for any particular reason, YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK, they are quick to pester you for monthly payments but will completely ignore you when it's the other way around.

I have yet to get paid back even though they are stealing 70% of my deposit payments and it's been weeks. At this rate though I think I'm getting refunded at all. The payments department are actively ghosting me. It's been 3 weeks since our last email back and forth. I've called up the company to flag up the situation but still no changes.

This company is a scam on the backend and I assume they make majority of their profits from outright refusing to refund people who don't do go through with their "course" despite being well outside of their 90 day period.

I will write many reviews of this "companu" to warn victims who are considering joining that if you do infact join, be warned that if you need to opt out for any particular reason. You will not get your money back on any deposits or payments.

I nearly paid money towards the course with these guys but something told me not to so I cancelled stating that I simply couldn't afford it. They attempted to charge me a grand for cancelling even though I told them I couldn't afford it anyway.

The course itself was valuable, very intense at times but I learned a lot and feel i can go out and work in the in the industry with confidence. However the 'after sale' service has been APPALLING. It has been 2 months since I completed the course and myself and course mates still do not have our licenses and there has been a shocking lack of communication from phoenix in relation to this. Other than being told there are 'delays' we have been kept completely in the dark about whats going on. In addition to this I also completed my Frec 3 first aid through First aid executives which is run by phoenix and have still not received my certificate 7 weeks later. I just find this unacceptable considering that some individuals on my course who did there Frec 3 with another provider received there certificate within 9 days of training. Its a shame but after spending the thick end of 5 grand on this course i find this absolutely scandalous and i would advise people looking for a CP training provider to look else where.

So happy I did it. Learned so much about myself and about the CP industry. But one thing is for certain. These people love their jobs. The amount of time spent on us is way over the expectations I had. So I am forever grateful for what they have done for us. Thank you.

When learning a practical lesson it would be good if there was a demonstration was given first before the talk through. Also when given a time a to come in instead of having the class sat around waiting you should start when told to come in. Being told what time you start the day I believe should be given at end of each day when finished not waiting around until late at night. Would be good to be given a insight to the hostile work for the people that want to do it. The firing day you should get more hands on instead of 10 rounds and fire a air rifle. Believe there should be more exercises to conduct give each member the experience of doing at least one job role within the close protection team. The two instructors was good overall. Do move foot drills as well. A insight of the kit and equipment that is used as well would be good as well and maybe get hands on some of it. Also for the final exercise should be able to use radios as well as your phones.

The way the course was delivered effectively and with clear communication, very interactive with very appropriate days out in the field. Learning on the job and experiencing real life situation i believe I’ve gained a good insight into the role of a CPO the knowledge I’ve acquired is invaluable and certainly equips me the skill set to pursue a career in this field.
