Pkgplace is THE worst shipping company I have every had to deal with. Their rates are far above what every other company charges. I have got stuff delivered to me from an entirely different province that costs less than what pkgplace wants to charge to deliver a package 1 -2 hours away. They're ridiculous. I'll never do business with them. Not to mention it takes a long time to get your shipment and their communications (or lack thereof) is terrible.

DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH PKGPLACE. First of all, I had ordered twice before and everything went well, but I always found the fees too high.

Then, since August 5th, I got two invoices for 6 items, which I paid. Three days later, I get an email saying my package is on the way. When I open it, I see they only shipped 2 items. I was mad, but I let it go.

Finally, on August 12th, I get an email saying they shipped the other 4 items, but this one had no tracking number. 6 days pass, I email them to find out where my package is, and they tell me it's on the way and I'll get updates. 4 days later, still nothing. I email them, no answer. I send more emails and call the next day, still no answer.

So, I decide to email Encore Auctions, and they CC'd PkgPlace in the email so they would reply to me. PkgPlace answers me: 'They are delayed due to high package volume, system changes in their delivery process, and transportation issues in the Montreal area.' I know that's BS, so I basically just said 'OK'.

Then I wait a week, so today, August 31st, I clearly tell them by email at 9:00 AM that if I don't have a tracking number by September 5th—which will be exactly 1 month to the day—I'm filing a consumer complaint and a fraud complaint. At 4:00 PM, I see an email from PkgPlace saying they are adjusting my invoice and to log in. When I log in, I see they added an extra $56.60 to pay, and I already paid $74.58. I'm telling you right now, I am NOT paying.

My experience with pkgPlace was awful. I was forced to use them through an auction, and they charged me $32.43 + tax for a small package weighing maybe 50 grams. To make matters worse, it took roughly 17 days to actually receive my item. There is no justification for charging premium courier rates for shipping that takes nearly a month. Absolute price gouging.

AVOID PkgPLACE if you possibly can..Unfortunately I didn't read who the auctioneer uses to ship. PkgPlace is TRULY a ripoff. Not only did they NOT put my NEW HEADPHONES- in its original factory box-in a seperate box, they plastered tape and labels-INCLUDING THE AUCTION INVOICE WITH THE PURCHASE PRICE on the box. By doing that they destroyed the factory box. They also charged 165 US Dollars to literally place a shipping label and paperwork on the box - instead of just simply placing the factory box into another box to protect it- for an item that Usps would have charged 59 Dollars fully insured for. NEVER AGAIN!

Delay without any updates. Ridiculous.

Too expensive compared to other third-party package handlers. They use the slowest carriers available.

Delivery to Toronto was incredible slow, three weeks within the same province. Communication was inaccurate. Not recommendable.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with The Package Place (pkgplace.com). Despite paying for my item in full, I never received my package. I reached out multiple times and was met with complete silence and unhelpful responses. The lack of accountability and poor customer service is absolutely unacceptable. I am now forced to escalate this issue to my credit card company to dispute the charge. I strongly advise anyone considering using their services to think twice.
