We are a Somerset business which was started in 2006. In the beginning it was hard to source earth friendly toys and packaging and we spent a lot of time begging for packaging from local businesses and searching for wooden and traditional toys. Now from our new website we are sourcing toys from wood, cardboard and fabrics most of which have an eco-bias. When sourcing wonderful toys, we are mindful of four key criteria, these are safety, educational benefit and being aware of lessening the environmental impact in the production of each toy, (which might mean a low carbon footprint, sustainable wood, either made from or can be recyclable and Fair-Trade ethics). The fourth and crucial factor is it must be appealing and fun. We are mindful of our carbon footprint and recycle packaging materials where possible and use paper mail sacks and Kraft Wrapping paper which offer strength and protection of your order on its journey to you. Shopping ethically isn’t easy, so we hope you enjoy these toys as much as we do. You can be assured that we have tried to bring you products with the lowest impact on the planet. You can enjoy playing with the knowledge they were brought to ‘life’ without ‘costing the earth’ and hope they provide endless hours of fun.
