New purchase TNP 500 broken under warranty but not hornored
New purchase TNP 500, just 6 months, used about 3-4 times, then broken, mailed to them, they told me it not under warranty, threw a bunch of jargon to justify $600 charge for repair.

After reviewing the case, the fault on your tester was determined to be due to exposure to live circuits—an issue only possible if the tester wasn’t being used correctly—which unfortunately falls outside the warranty coverage. The charges you were quoted, $400 for calibration and $200 for the repair - reflect the standard costs required to bring the tester back to its working specification. Calibration for Wavecom testers must be performed off-site by our specialist agent, which contributes to the cost.
We understand that this wasn’t the outcome you were hoping for, but we only proceeded with the repair after receiving your approval. Our goal is always to ensure your equipment is safe and fully operational.
We appreciate your business and are happy to answer any further questions you might have about proper use or maintenance to avoid similar issues in the future.

I found Liesel to be very knowledgeable and helpful, she guided me through the process to purchase the unit and was there when I was confused with the differences between the Elite+ and Pro.
